Chapter 5 - Returning to Earth

Kirko stood in the washroom for a bit, then laid on the floor of the room and palmed his face.

'This is too much for me. I can't believe that a moment ago I was fighting against a bunch of goblins and my body was half destroyed… Wait, it was half destroyed.' Kirko scrambled his body and touched it all over.

Then gave out a big sigh, 'All the injuries are healed, I got so lucky to figure out, how the system worked.' He smiled. 'But I have to do this 49 more times. That's too much, but I can't do anything about it.' Then more question played in his head, 'Will the next tutorial take place in the class again? and there are more players across the world.' He got tired and slammed his head on the floor.

Sniff sniff, 'What's that smell?' then it plays in his mind, 'Oh shit, I forgot to wash my hands, and I slapped my face with it.' Kirko jumps up and awkwardly walks towards the basin, then turns on the tap and washes his hands, then using his hand he catches some water and splashes his face three more times, then slaps his head, his whole body, 'I still feel disgusting.'

He takes his bag from the ground where he left it and then leaves, but just before he was going to leave the school, someone taps on his shoulder. A shock ran through Kirko's body, 'Why is someone calling me?'

He turns around to notice a group of tall students behind him.

He mustered some strength and in a shaken voice he spoke, "HII?"

They looked at him with serious faces and then shouted, "Thank you!!"

He looked at them confused, "T-Thanks, but why are you thanking me?"

"What do you mean why? You're the reason we all didn't die."

Kirko scratches his head with a smile, "Well, you're welcome." Then his gaze goes cold, "But I didn't do it intentionally, so I don't need your thanks. And next time, I won't be there."

"Even so, thank you. And if you don't mind us asking, how did you kill them so easily?"

"Adapting, I'm very good at adapting." 'Well, I played many games and that somehow helped me adapt very well.'

Then his face went pale and he realized, 'Oh no, today's the release day.' He looks towards the students, "Well, I'll be going now. I have something to care for." He gives them a gentle smile and then walks away, and when he gets out of their point of vision, he starts sprinting towards his home.

*** 3 mins later.

"Haah, haah." Kirko gasped for air while bending down and holding his knees. He looks in front of him and notices a big line standing outside the game shop, "Well, looks like there is no point in getting the game. It will be out of stock by the time I get here," he spoke with sadness in his voice, "I just wasted so much of my energy and for no reason at all." He walks home defeated.

Meanwhile, in a different school, three friends were sitting together and eating lunch.

"So, what's your username? And what weapon did you get?"

"Oh, me? I got the D-rank umbrella, and my username is 'Umbrella Boi'—with an 'i'. Cool, right?" A player with sharp eyes and a handsome face replied.

His friends looked at him and burst out in laughter.

Kirko slept on his bed and opened his system, then he saw an option at the bottom of the screen — Rewards for the First Mission. He smiled, "If it is based on contribution, I will get a lot. I was the only one who completed the mission, no one helped me." Then he clicked on the option to accept his reward.

System - Your reward for the First mission:

Title - The Bloodied King

10 Sp (stat points)

"10 stat points??? That many?" Kirko stood up on the bed from joy.

The system gave every player 6 stats, them being -

1.Strength

2.Speed

3.Endurance

4.Dexterity

5.Perception

6.Intelligence

Right now all of Kirko's stats had 5 points each and he just got an extra 15 he could use and increase any stat he wanted.

He then took his attention to his first reward, the title.

"A title? What does a title do?" He opened the title and examined it.

System:

Name:The Bloodied King

You have earned the title by having over a litre of your enemies' blood spilled onto you.

Effect: The more blood of your enemies that covers you, the stronger you become.

"Wow, that's cool." He smirked as he read the effect. Then the nice and soothing sound of the system played.

System - Achievement unlocked:The first player to unlock a title.

Reward: 5 Sp

Kirko looked at the screen in shock, '5 more points!' He covers his mouth, "The game just started and I have already got 20 points. Players don't even know how to gain Sp and I found one way: achievements. But I don't know what the achievements are, so I can't see the achievements but can complete them." He got disappointed, "Well, that's stupid, isn't it."

He laid back onto the bed and continued to see the system and saw another option that appeared - Break time - 3 days.

"Looks like I got 3 days before the next mission. Well, I guess I have to live normally for 3 days."

After all that thinking, he got tired and just went to bed even though he just came from school.

***The next day

Kirko felt weird today as soon as he got close to the school. He somehow became the centre of attention; every single student was looking at him.

"That's him, the one who killed all of the goblins," he heard people mutter all around him.

'Well, it looks like my simple and silent life ends,' Kirko thought.

He ignored everything and just went towards his class, but as soon as he entered, everyone's eyes locked onto him. Kirko awkwardly waved his hand, then walked towards his seat at the back of the class.

After each step he took, eyes followed, but no one said anything to him.

'Someone say something,' he clenched his hand which was in the pocket of his hoodie.

He took his seat and turned to watch the vast blue sky, trying to avoid any and all eye contact.

'I should have not come today.'

But curiosity got to him and he turned around. He saw a person walking towards him, but before he could talk, the teacher walked in, and before he knew it, the boy ran back to his seat and sat like nothing happened.

'Well, I can't wait for lunch,' he sarcastically thought.

"Ok class, that will be it." He turns his gaze towards Kirko, "And Kirko, give me your homework."

Kirko turns pale and in a shaken voice, "Sir, I'll give it to you tomorrow."

He blew some air out and spoke in a tired voice, "You know what, ok, I can't bother with this." Then he leaves the classroom.

He shuts the door open and all the players look towards Kirko. Then all of them move towards him, not even giving him any space to leave.

All of them then bombarded him with questions: "Wow, you were so cool." "How did you kill all of them?" and more of those types. Kirko sat there confused about what was happening, not even replying to anyone.

"Why are you praising him?" A blonde-haired player sitting near the door spoke while leaning on his chair.

"Sure, he saved us but because of him we got no rewards and it will be harder for us to face the next tutorial."

After he spoke, a silence filled the air. Then all of them started murmuring to each other.

But by this time, Kirko had enough. He slammed his hand on the desk and stood up. They all looked at him, but all he did was walk away towards the player. He stood up, thinking Kirko wanted to fight, but to his dismay, Kirko ignored him and continued walking, leaving the class, leaving him standing there for no reason.

He clenched his hand, 'I'll kill you, I'll fucking kill you, Kirko.' His thoughts filled with rage.

'Whew, I got out of there.' Kirko felt so relieved.

The rest of the day was your normal day; Kirko somehow managed to escape any other confrontation.

And while leaving school, he jumped from the back wall and took the route he planned the other day.

Kirko decided to not go to school for the next 2 days and just played games the whole day.

System - 3... 2...

Kirko wore his beige hoodie, 'Time for another round.'

System - 1...

Good Luck.

Kirko's heartbeat accelerated. Then his vision got blurry.

And then—

Darkness covered him.
