Chapter 190 - The Magical Network Surrounding The Universe, Star-Lord's Jealousy

The research on the Power Gem did not take much time.

Just a few days later, the related problems were overcome.

Once the Power Stone was in place, the power of all five gemstones began to affect the Magic Net.

In an instant, with Aaron at the center and the Nine Realms as the core, countless "network cables" extended outward from the Demon King Qian.

This wasn't a slow, web-building process like that of a spider.

Instead, through the energy provided by the Power Gem, combined with the powers of space and time, the branches of the Demon Subduing Net spread across the entire universe!

Since then, the entire universe has been enveloped in a special web.

Across every river system, galaxy, and planet, over half of the Magic Net diffusion plan had been completed.

"The remaining issues related to the contract can only be considered once my strength is further increased."

Aaron breathed a sigh of relief.

He had waited so long for this moment.

Now that the foundation was laid, it was only a matter of informing the entire universe about the existence of the Magic Net and the contract method, sparking a frenzy of magical cultivation.

Then, he would receive a constant supply of energy.

After that, he simply had to wait for his strength to increase. Once he had absolute power, he would take possession of the Soul Gem and complete the final key section of the Magic Net.

At that point, the core of the Magic Net within his phantom could fully manifest.

The Magic Net would then become one of the universal rules, akin to electromagnetic force or gravity.

The difference was that these rules were set by the Tenjin Group, while the Magic Net was created by Aaron himself, offering infinite assistance for his growth in power.

He would even transform the world created by the Tenjin Group into a world designed solely to serve Aaron.

After that, he could consider expanding into other parallel universes, extending the reach of the Magic Net.

As more parallel universes became his domain, he would never lack energy. He could devote all his time and energy to leveling up and competing with those cosmic gods!

"However, for now, relying solely on the Guardians of the Galaxy gang will be insufficient to spread the name of the Demon King to all the star fields.

"I still need more 'migrant workers!'"

"Or, perhaps, by using a particular method, I can let everyone know about the Magic Net's existence and draw them to voluntarily form contracts."

"The best way, of course, is to completely spread my reputation."

"Maybe... I should try contacting other gods?"

Aaron pondered.

Although he despised the gods of the Almighty City, there was one thing to consider. If he could use the gods to spread the Magic Net, it would quickly extend to many inhabited planets.

These gods might not care about the death of their own planet's inhabitants, but they certainly wouldn't turn down a chance to increase their power.

Not every god had the powers of Odin, or suffered from an excess of strength.

If they learned that by using the Magic Net, they could gain power from the mortals they deemed as ants, Aaron was confident that none of them would refuse. In fact, they would likely promote the idea themselves.

The major gods of the universe, or even the lesser gods, would go crazy for such an opportunity.

"That's an idea that works!"

"If I get the chance, I should visit Almighty City."

The Almighty City was home to the universe's most powerful gods, gathering deities from across the cosmos.

Well, at least that's what the gods from major galaxies claimed.

The gods here didn't include the Tenjin Group or similar powers.

It was essentially like the United Nations of Earth.

Currently, Zeus, the god-king of Greek mythology, ruled the Almighty City.

Originally, the Almighty City had been a place for gods to hold sacred meetings. However, over time, it had strayed from its original purpose.

Zeus had turned it into a stage for his own one-man show, a place for indulgent parties.

Especially during the recent rampage of god-slayers, afraid of the Black Death Sword God Slayer gaining power, many gods sought refuge in the Almighty City, numbing themselves with alcohol and pleasures.

Almost all gods with any status, as well as those aware of the Almighty City's existence, had entered it. They believed that by staying hidden, the god-slayers would never find the city, or the Eternal Land, ensuring their safety.

Even as gods were being killed outside, they only lost lower-level gods who didn't even know where the Almighty City was located.

In their eyes, those low-tier gods were expendable.

Aaron, however, knew the location of Almighty City.

After all, he had become the God of Magic, granting him access to more secrets.

In Asgard, only a few people were privy to the location of the Almighty City—Odin, Frigg, Thor, and Aaron.

But Aaron had never considered visiting. What was he supposed to do there? Attend an orgy? Flatter a coward, a joker?

He wasn't that desperate.

He suspected that the reason Odin never went to the Almighty City wasn't just because his lifespan was nearing its end but also because he didn't want to participate in those bizarre activities.

After all, Frigg was still quite... tight.

Aaron shook his head, dismissing the thought, and refocused on improving the self-defense mechanism of the Magic Net.

Now that the foundation of the Magic Net was nearly complete, there were still some smaller details to address, particularly regarding how best to utilize the gemstones.

This would enhance the Magic Net's defensive capabilities.

At present, Aaron had only updated the Magic Net's hidden functions. The self-defense mechanism still relied on the previous idea: when someone attempted to destroy a network cable, the power of the Magic Net would gather to counterattack the destroyer.

Aaron wondered if he could use the Power Gems, Reality Gems, and all other stones to upgrade the defense system. If the gems could be further developed, the power of all five would be sufficient to deliver a fatal blow to anyone below the multiverse level.

Even most Celestial Gods wouldn't be able to withstand this power zone.

Once Aaron upgraded the defense system, he would focus all his efforts on strengthening himself.

After all, the ultimate goal of establishing the Magic Net was to enhance his own power.

Only his strength mattered above all else.

Before that, however, he was ready to take a break—finding balance between work and rest.

Though it was still hard work.

In the vast universe, as the Magic Net spread across the cosmos, no cosmic god had noticed this invisible change.

However, the gods who could sense it did not react.

For example, Eternity! She didn't care about the changes in this universe and remained asleep in her own domain.

The Celestial Group, busy building planets and maintaining cosmic balance, hadn't noticed the Magic Net either. Most of them were in the wastelands, working to bring light to those dark places.

These areas were not covered by the Magic Net.

The gods within the Magic Net's range couldn't detect its existence either.

They may have felt subtle changes, but they didn't recognize that these changes stemmed from the Magic Net.

For instance, Ego, who had transformed into a planet, couldn't detect the Magic Net.

Though he was sensitive to things like magic nets due to his planetary nature, it wasn't enough for him to notice.

At that moment, Ego sensed something vague in the universe but quickly dismissed it, deciding there was no point in searching further.

He resumed his search for children.

Suddenly, a newsflash interrupted his thoughts.

"Yondu Udonta..."

Ego recalled the name.

Over a dozen years ago, he had sent Yondu to Earth to bring back one of his children and determine if the child had the god gene.

What was that child's name again?

Quill?

Ego couldn't remember.

He had killed the child's mother shortly after his birth and then left.

Ego still had many lost heirs to deal with, but now, his news had returned.

"Huh? I found my child? He still has the god gene!!"

Ego continued reading, overwhelmed by the news.

This was the heir he had always dreamed of.

He hadn't expected to find him today!

Without further thought, Ego directed his spaceship toward the coordinates Yondu had sent.

There was no doubt in his mind that this was Yondu's scheme.

Ego was confident in his power. A mere team of marauders was no match for a god's strength!

Meanwhile, on Xandar…

"Are you really ready to do this, Quill?" Yondu looked at Star-Lord with a complicated expression.

He hadn't expected that after their victory, Star-Lord would question him about his background.

Star-Lord already knew the truth of their identities. He was a child of the gods, possessing divine genes.

Initially, Star-Lord hadn't planned to tell Yondu. But, after the Guardians' powers had grown through the Magic Net and they could now use small magic, Yondu believed that if Star-Lord was threatened, he might reach out to the God of Magic for help.

So, Yondu revealed the truth about their past.

Star-Lord was shocked but also filled with mixed emotions.

He was the son of a god.

But why had his father abandoned his mother? Why had he allowed her to die from a brain tumor?

At the same time, Star-Lord felt joy.

He was the son of a god, with the potential to become one himself.

As long as he recognized his father and returned to his family, he could gain immense power.

But Yondu's later revelation made him hesitant.

His father didn't seem like a good man.

All the children Yondu had brought to him before were killed by Ego.

Their corpses had piled up.

That was why Yondu had taken him away—never again serving Ego, and being cast out of the Ravagers.

One was his biological father, the other was his adoptive father.

Star-Lord didn't know whom to trust.

He decided to confront Ego himself.

The temptation to become a god weighed heavily on his mind.

"If you regret this, there's still time. We can leave Xandar immediately, go to Earth before Ego arrives, and stop him with the power of the God of Magic."

"Only if you trust me..."

"You know, he's a powerful god. Once you go to his planet, it may be too late!"

"No, I'll confront him directly."

Star-Lord shook his head, then gazed into the distance.

In that direction, Gamora and Nebula were spreading the Magic Net on Xandar.

Their magical powers were increasing...

Star-Lord thought that if he could become a god, he might stand on equal footing with the God of Demons.

He could also bless Gamora.

Impress her.

Gamora, however, had no idea that Star-Lord was willing to take such risks because of her.

At this moment, she was simply fooling around with Star-Lord.

But due to their identities, almost no one was willing to believe them.

"We can't keep going like this. These idiots really don't understand our kindness."

Nebula cursed.

"We need to change our approach. We should find Nova Supreme!"

"She's someone who understands the gravity of things."

Gamora thought for a while and decided to approach the leader.

She had to master the power of the Magic Net at all costs.
