After the battle, the very next morning, Magnus had instructed one of the dwarves to fetch the humans that followed him.
Arriving at noon, he gathered everyone inside of the forge. Although it was a bit uncomfortable due to the heat, it was the only room with enough space for everyone.
The 27 dwarves sat on his left side, while the 12 humans sat on his right. A cursory glance and anyone could tell neither side was doing well.
"Now then, let us begin this gathering." assuming a formal tone, Magnus spoke.
'If you want to have an army, you need three things. Supplies, wealth and loyalty. Though I don't know how different it is for a village, it shouldn't be too different. And the three most important things to humans are water, food, sleep, so I'll need to check for those first.'
"First and most importantly, do we have a stable water supply that will last for everyone?" Magnus inquired, glancing towards the dwarves.
