There were creepy smiling creatures snarling outside the wooden door while Fami snucked on the corner of the room that looked like a classroom.
Every minute a creepy smiling creature would pass by the door while Junhwo kept an eye out on the them.
"Sob, I-i I wanna go home..." Fami mumbled as tears stream through her face.
Junhwo went closer to her trying comfort her by placing his right hand on Fami's left shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be safe. We'll just have to wait for a few hours to pass by"
It all happened at the camping trip at Jeju Island. There was a well covered by a large wooden slab and paper talismans were circling around it. Although that place looked mesmerizing and breathtaking, it actually smelled like dead or rotten corpse.
Ha-jun and Sunghyun were the ones who opened it accidentally and what we saw was... Eerie and, horrifying...
Flashback to the day it all started.
"Alright! We'll be in Jeju for 3 days. Don't lie, did all of your parents allowed you to join?" Mr Lee asked politely in front of the group of students.
"Yes!" Most of the students excitedly yelled.
Mr. Lee led out a sigh and said "Alright, be careful okay, the Government won't pay us if something happens to each of you" Mr. Lee said in a joking tone and he climbed up the yacht while dragging his bag.
"Lee Junhwo!" Ha-jun called out while carrying so many bags and running towards Junhwo.
"Why are you carrying so much stuff?" Junhwo asked as his eyebrows confusedly narrowing.
"Ohh, these? It's Shim Hae-soo's I took it for her, I wanted to help her" Ha-jun said after looking at the stuff he was carrying.
"Waaah... You're just helping her to make her notice you, what a show-off" Junhwo said jokingly as he nundged Ha-jun's side.
"Oww, I'm just a Gentleman who wanted to help a Girl in need" Ha-jun said confidently.
"Cho Ha-jun-nim I'll carry it now. I don't want to burden you in our trip at Jeju" Hae-soo said in a worried tone.
( "Nim" is used as a commonplace honorific for guests, customers, clients, and no so close individuals.)
"Don't worry, I'm fine. This is just basic exercise to me, ask Lee Junhwo if you don't believe me" Ha-jun braggedly said.
"Give me the other bag" Junhwo offered to help.
"Hae-soo!" Yelled Moryeong who was running towards Hae-soo.
Hae-soo hugged Moryeong tightly and said "Aunt Yan allowed you to come!?"
"Yupp!" Moryeong said as Hae-soo and her started jumping excitedly.
"Ya, Kim Moryeong" Junhwo called.
"Hmm?" Moryeong tilted her head in response to Junhwo.
"Give me your bag so you can walk with Shim Hae without any hindrance" Junhwo offered.
"Thank you Junhwo-ssi!" Moryeong handed her bag to Junhwo and happily walked ahead with Hae-soo.
( "Ssi" in Korean is used to show respect and politeness when addressing someone, particularly those you are not very close to or those who are of a higher social status than you.)
"Woah... Am I thinking what it is?" Ha-jun randomly said.
"Huh?" Junhwo confusedly asked.
"Y-you like Moryeong!?" Ha-jun yelled.
"What..?"
"I mean that's a good idea. I like Hae-soo and you like her best friend and you're my best friend. Not bad, not bad. And then we'll be neighbors when we grow up, and have kids" Ha-jun blabbed nonstop about future.
"Knock it off, I don't like Kim Moryeong" Junhwo exclaimed.
"Jeez, anyway, I'm really excited to go to Jeju!" Ha-jun yelled at the ocean.
It was a relaxing view, waves that bash through the high wall of the pier and the breeze that only sends fresh air passing by.
3 Hours later and they've finally reached Jeju.
"Thanks Ha-jun I'll carry it now" Hae-soo took her bag and went down.
"Thank you too Junhwo! I'm also taking my bag now hehe" Moryeong took her bag and followed Hae-soo.
When everyone was down the yacht Mr Lee announced "Kids! Everyone listen. Feel free to look around but. This Island has rules. Do not get close to the caves and wells, do you kids understand? Oii, were you kids even listening?"
"Yes sirrr..." Everyone answered
