Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Godzilla's Extracurricular Activities

His furious roar turned into a powerful shockwave, dispersing the clouds!

Rumble—his colossal body rose, and an aura of savage brutality erupted across this planet that had once been redeemed.

Seeing the insect swarm, both Tingyun and Serval, who had initially wanted to seek Godzilla's help, hesitated and stopped in their tracks.

"No offense, but, uh… if you're gonna make big moves like this, could you give us a heads-up next time? We're hanging on for dear life here!"

Serval's face darkened. Like Tingyun, she clung to Godzilla's dorsal fins, swaying along with his movements. Their brightly colored clothing made them particularly eye-catching.

----------------------------

"Quick! Remote artillery support! We must not let these damn things enter Belobog! Even if I die, I'll make sure they turn into fertilizer!"

"Medic! Medic! Save them!"

"Aim and fire! Not a single shot can be wasted! The City of Belobog behind you has even survived through the cold tide!"

Belobog, the Silvermane Guards, the Cloud Knights, and the Wild Fire—everyone was doing their best to resist.

Not everyone was engaged in the battle against the Swarm and the Antimatter Legion.

Their vast numbers and emotionless logic allowed them to ignore their struggling comrades in the distance and charge straight toward Belobog.

"Damn it, just when we finally got to live in peace, these freaks show up again. What bad luck!"Oleg spat at the fallen Voidranger he had just shot, cursing.

Yanqing, standing beside him, witnessed his feat—ten bullets taking down ten Voidrangers—and his eyes gleamed with admiration.

"Wow, old man, you're still sharp as ever."

"Haha, I was a Silvermane Guard for a few years when I was young. Now I work with Natasha, but at least I haven't lost my touch!"

The Wild Fire had not disappeared.

Just as there are factions within the Church of the Aeons, not all members of the Wild Fire fully trusted the Supreme Guardian. Or rather, they trusted, but feared that in times of crisis, the people might be redefined.

So, despite Natasha repeatedly insisting that the Wild Fire was no longer needed in present-day Jarilo, the stubborn members refused to disband. Natasha had no choice but to step in and take charge to reassure them.

Yanqing suddenly felt a surge of excitement. Even an old veteran like Oleg was giving it his all—how could a young man like him not do the same?

At once, he summoned six flying swords, which streaked through the air like a rainbow toward the enemy!

United as one. Whether from Jarilo or the Xianzhou, everyone was fighting for this beautiful planet.

"Roar!" A deafening roar echoed across the battlefield, sending shockwaves that instantly disabled numerous swarm creatures, causing them to plummet from the sky.

"This sound..." Hearing the familiar roar, every Belobog citizen's face lit up with exhilaration. They turned toward the source of the sound, filled with hope.

There, a towering figure moved forward with heavy steps. Its overwhelming presence was terrifying as it slowly approached the battlefield!

"Lady Bronya, our communication devices have malfunctioned!"

"Ours too! It seems like something is interfering with them!"

A wave of panicked shouts erupted from the crowd—all equipment was failing.

Pela quickly inspected the devices and found that only electronic-based equipment had been affected, including…

"Huh? Huh?! My swords!"

Yanqing's face was filled with disbelief as he watched his six flying swords plummet into the swarm of Voidrangers. His heart stopped.

It was well known that the Xianzhou's weapons were, in fact, technological constructs.

So…

"I see now."

Yukong seemed to understand, fiddling with her bow. Beside her lay several unlaunched arrows—one of which had just been fired but suddenly dropped to the ground before her astonished eyes.

"It's an electromagnetic pulse. A powerful EMP must have swept through in an instant, causing the equipment to fail. It's likely connected to that roar just now."

After voicing her hypothesis, Yukong turned in awe toward Godzilla, who had already drawn the attention of both the Swarm and the Antimatter Legion.

A living being capable of generating such an immense electromagnetic pulse…

Has the universe grown dissatisfied with its current creations? Has it birthed such a powerful entity in response?

"Has some Aeon finally taken notice of this place?"

The moment she saw that figure, Cocolia finally felt her heart settle.

It was as if no matter the difficulty, as long as that figure stood there, everything would be resolved.

"These two things actually started fighting."

Godzilla arrived at the scene, watching the chaotic battle unfold. Occasionally, a small group of Antimatter Legion troops and Swarm insects would charge toward Belobog, falling silent in the process.

Could it be that he remembered incorrectly? Was the Swarm actually here on Jarilo to help deal with the long-sealed Antimatter Legion?

Speaking of which, what was the relationship between Destruction and Propagation during that ancient war of the Aeons?

It had been too long—Godzilla could barely remember.

But if this scene were witnessed by the major factions of the universe, they would surely smirk and look toward the Destruction camp.

The Swarm had traveled all the way to Jarilo just to battle Destruction.

Not only was Godzilla puzzled, but so was Tingyun, who had climbed from his dorsal fin to his shoulder.

She understood the Swarm and the Antimatter Legion better than Serval did. While the Path of Propagation emphasized reproduction, its execution often involved Destruction.

Both were terrifying entities that struck fear into countless civilizations.

And yet, here they were, waging war against each other on Jarilo…

Godzilla's appearance successfully drew the attention of a large number of Void Soldiers and Swarm creatures.

"Destruction! Destruction!!!" This was the cry of the Antimatter Legion.

"Propagation! Propagation!" The moment the Swarm saw Godzilla, they went berserk.

A powerful entity, brimming with energy—this was practically a breeding ground tailor-made for the Swarm. To creatures driven purely by instinct, this was nothing short of divine providence.

"Hey, they're charging at us!" Serval shouted.

Just as she finished speaking, she suddenly felt a wave of heat from below.

"Hiss~! So hot, so hot!"

She quickly pulled Tingyun up, and the two were shocked to see Godzilla's body turning red at an alarming rate.

In the blink of an eye, his entire body was radiating intense heat. However, he maintained enough control to keep Serval and Tingyun unharmed. He hadn't just been sleeping while basking in the sun all this time.

A network of terrifying cracks appeared across his chest, glowing crimson like flowing magma.

Simply standing there, the heat he emitted was unbearable for the Void Soldiers and the Swarm, causing them to collapse in agony.

"Screech! Screech!" In mere moments, the frontmost creatures melted away.

Godzilla clenched his jaw slightly, red light gathering in his mouth. The sheer heat distorted the surrounding air.

The next second, he opened his mouth, unleashing a massive spiral beam of extreme heat upon the Swarm and the Void Soldiers!

"Boom!!!" With an explosive roar, the ground was blasted open, leaving a massive crater.

Godzilla then twisted his neck, and his spiral beam swept across the land like a tailor cutting fabric, leaving behind crystallized trails formed by the intense heat.

Neither the terrifying Swarm nor the world-destroying Antimatter Legion could escape. Under this searing power, they were utterly obliterated, vanishing along with the crystalline remains.

With the ground forces dealt with, Godzilla turned his gaze to the sky.

The thick beam shot upward like Jarilo's desperate cry, piercing through the atmosphere and, without a doubt, providing some "warmth" to the frozen Swarm creatures lingering in space.

The immense recoil cracked the fragile ground beneath him, even causing Godzilla to sink into the earth.

...

Meanwhile, the Xianzhou fleet entangled in battle with the Swarm in space was caught off guard.

"Commander, a powerful energy beam has just been fired from Planet Jarilo! The energy readings have peaked!"

"Forget everything else! The only thing I care about is whether our fleet will make it out alive!"

"Uh, Commander, if we change course now, we might survive."

"Why?"

"Because that beam is heading straight for us!"

"??? I swear, I'm going to hang you from the flagpole!"
