Cecilia was just about to agree to help, thinking that Wynne wasn’t so stubborn after all as he knew to seek her help. However, he turned to Amy.
"Miss Lawrence, I heard you have some connections with David. Could you please persuade him to treat my father? Thank you!"
Though David's reputation had diminished, many still acknowledged his professional skills. Right now, they needed him.
Amy glanced at Cecilia before nodding. She walked over to David, who was about to leave in his car. After the two exchanged words, David nodded before quickly leaving with the others.
Cecilia shrugged her shoulders. According to Wynne, his father, Thomas Whitmore, was terminally ill. Although David was an expert in pulmonary diseases, what he focused on in his research was slightly different from this illness. Even if he went, it probably wouldn't help much.
