Chapter 62 - Mjolnir Descends From The Sky

"Things are getting serious now," Nick Fury said. "In the future, Thor will come to Earth, and we're nowhere near ready to deal with Asgard."

He paused, considering the implications. "We don't even know what Asgard thinks of Earth. From the perspective of mythology, they may not even recognize us as significant."

"It should be okay," Tony Stark replied confidently. "After all, Luo Chen's diary mentioned that this is the second of the Big Three among your super-powered friends. If that's the case, Thor should be in the superhero league. They probably won't be on the opposite side of us!"

Fury raised an eyebrow. "That's good news, I guess. But there's one big thing here—if the hammer god is Thor, and Odin has been hanging on for a few more years for his son, does that mean Odin's about to die?"

Tony looked thoughtful. "Wait, what? Is Odin really about to die? This just keeps getting more and more complicated."

Fury gave Tony a hard look. The man had no filter. Complaining about Odin's situation while discussing legendary figures wasn't something most people would dare to do.

"This suggests that even gods have their problems," Fury continued. "They have heir troubles too. It's not all about drinking and living carefree in the sky like some myths would have you believe. In fact, Odin may be close to death."

Tony paused, deep in thought. "Let's not focus on the death part, but you're right. This signals big changes for the future."

Fury nodded. "From a mythological standpoint, Odin is the king of the Nine Realms, and Asgard is considered one of those realms. For ages, the Nine Realms were thought to be the entire universe. But now we know that's definitely not the case."

Tony followed, "There might be other alien civilizations or gods—evil gods, even. In that case, the fact that Earth has made it through all these years without incident is... surprising."

Fury shot Tony a look. "Are you suggesting Odin's been protecting Earth? If the Earth is part of the Nine Realms and Odin's territory, he'd naturally keep others out."

"That makes sense," Tony acknowledged. "If Odin is going to die, then the situation is much bigger than we imagined."

He paused, recalling something. "Do you remember what Luo Chen said? About saving the multiverse? Could other crises have emerged because of that?"

Nick Fury leaned in. "If you think about it, Earth's civilization is insignificant compared to others in the universe. We're like specks of dust. Countless civilizations likely exist out there, but somehow it's always the humans who end up solving the crises."

He continued, "Given how difficult it is for us to develop the technology needed to travel the universe, the probability of these crises affecting Earth directly is high."

Tony nodded slowly, accepting the weight of Fury's words. "There's only one Earth, and it might bear the brunt of other crises in the Level Universe. Earth really is a special place."

He chuckled, half to himself, "These writers really seem hell-bent on throwing every crisis at Earth, huh? They must be afraid the planet might go unnoticed."

"But you're right," Fury said, "this could all be linked to Odin's impending death. Maybe the alien civilizations are warring with Asgard, turning Earth into a battlefield."

Tony clenched his jaw. "No matter what, this is huge. And we'll need to prepare for the arrival of Asgard's prince."

Fury straightened, his tone firm. "You can bet on that. I'm not just preparing for Thor—I won't even blink if Zeus himself shows up at my door."

"If Norse mythology is real, then it's likely there are plenty of other gods from other cultures. Who knows what could be out there?"

Tony nodded. "The real trouble won't be from the gods—it'll be from the Evil Gods. At least the gods in mythology aren't all bad, but if those evil gods, demons, and horrors from hell start showing up, we're in big trouble."

A silence fell between them, the weight of the situation settling over both men. They both knew things were about to get much harder.

"Maybe we can get Luo Chen involved," Fury said, breaking the silence. "Even if we can't reveal the details from his diary, we can still tap into his power. He's not an ordinary man anymore. Hasn't he basically become a superhero?"

Tony thought for a moment, then nodded. "It's the best option we have. And probably the only option."

Suddenly, Fury's phone rang. He glanced at the screen—it was Phil Coulson. He quickly answered.

"Phil Coulson, what's going on?"

"Boss, the Mjolnir mentioned in the diary? It's here!" Coulson's voice crackled over the line.

Fury stood up straight. "What do you mean, 'it's here'?"

"Some townspeople in New Mexico called the police," Coulson explained. "They said a massive hammer fell from the sky. They tried everything—trucks, cranes—nothing can move it. It's... eccentric."

"How heavy is this hammer?" Fury asked immediately.

Coulson hesitated. "Well, that's the strange part…"
