The battlefield was engulfed in chaos as the clash between Yuwen Tuo and Bei Bei reached its crescendo. Despite being vastly outmatched in raw power, cultivation, and experience, Yuwen Tuo's mastery of precision-based techniques had allowed him to hold his ground against the formidable three-ring Soul Elder. Now, with Bei Bei unleashing his full might through Wrath of Thunder, the stakes had never been higher.

Mastery of Acupoints and the Deadly Art of Precision

Yuwen Tuo's expertise in the Scorching Yang Flame Finger stemmed from his intimate knowledge of the human body's acupoints. Generally speaking, the human body contained 720 acupoints, including 52 single points, 300 paired points, and 50 extraordinary points outside the meridians. Among these, 108 were considered vital points—72 of which were non-lethal when struck, while the remaining 36 were fatal.

These acupoints served dual purposes: they could both heal and harm. As such, Yuwen Tuo was not only a master of music and culinary arts but also a skilled physician—a fact that often drew criticism from his teacher.

"You lack fighting prowess," his master would scold him. "Instead, you waste your time on all sorts of useless pursuits!"

But Yuwen Tuo felt wronged. Had he chosen this path voluntarily? No—it was merely a byproduct of mastering the Scorching Yang Flame Finger. And as for his musical talents, who could resist the wrath of his stepmother if he failed to excel? His cooking skills, too, were born out of necessity, given the insatiable appetite of someone else in the household (hint: it wasn't him or his stepmother).

Armed with his encyclopedic knowledge of acupoints, Yuwen Tuo had managed to dominate Bei Bei in close combat despite being inferior in speed, strength, and overall power. Even with Wrath of Thunder active, Bei Bei dared not engage in melee again.

"Second soul skill, Might of Thunder!"

Bei Bei unleashed torrents of azure lightning, each bolt amplifying into a network of crackling electricity that blanketed the arena, converging into a thunderous web aimed at Yuwen Tuo.

Against such overwhelming ranged attacks, the Scorching Yang Flame Finger proved ineffective. However, Yuwen Tuo was far from defenseless.

His first soul ring emerged, glowing with a hue of yellow tinged with purple—an indication of its origin as an eight-century-old spirit ring, nearly qualifying as a millennium-class artifact.

"First soul skill, Blade of Flame Execution!"

This technique originated from the Hundred-Year Flame Blade Fiend. When activated, it transformed flames into a blazing blade, boosting attack power by 50%. Alternatively, it could concentrate all flame energy into a single point before unleashing a devastating slash called Flame Execution Slash, capable of delivering 200% damage in one strike.

However, after using the slash, the Blade of Flame Execution would dissipate temporarily, rendering it unusable for a short period. Knowing this, Yuwen Tuo refrained from deploying the ultimate form of his first soul skill prematurely. Without invoking the power of the Xuanyuan Sword, this was his strongest offensive capability and not something to be squandered lightly.

That said, Yuwen Tuo still had other tools at his disposal. Within the Divine Fire Manual, alongside the Scorching Yang Flame Finger, lay another martial art: the Fury Flame Saber Technique.

Though Yuwen Tuo specialized in swordsmanship, he was no stranger to this saber style. As his master once lamented, Yuwen Tuo dabbled in far too many disciplines. To him, swordplay was his profession, saber techniques his hobby, and acupoint strikes and footwork supplementary skills.

While the Fury Flame Saber Technique paled in comparison to the Xuanyuan Sword Techniques, it was more than sufficient for battling opponents on Douluo Continent. Moreover, it helped conceal his true arsenal of deadly techniques.

The Xuanyuan Sword Techniques were his ace in the hole.

The Fury Flame Saber Technique consisted of three straightforward moves:

1. Wildfire Blaze Stance – A sweeping horizontal slash that turned the area in front of Yuwen Tuo into a fiery wasteland.

2. Mountain of Blades, Sea of Flames Stance – An omnidirectional attack that ignited everything around him.

3. Sabbāññu Breaks Hell Stance – A devastating final move capable of incinerating vast expanses of land.

Though simple in execution, these stances carried immense destructive potential. For instance, even the basic Wildfire Blaze Stance could transform dozens of meters in front of Yuwen Tuo into a fiery death zone.

Given that Bei Bei's current attack was solely focused on frontal assault, Yuwen Tuo deemed the first stance sufficient.

"Wildfire Blaze Stance!"

With a single downward slash, Yuwen Tuo unleashed a torrent of flames that collided head-on with Bei Bei's thunderous barrage. The explosion of fire and lightning threatened to destabilize the entire arena.

Despite the enhancement from Wrath of Thunder, Bei Bei found himself at a disadvantage. Yuwen Tuo's Blade of Flame Execution amplified his strength, and his Yin-Yang Demon Eyes allowed him to pinpoint the weakest spot in Bei Bei's net of lightning.

Knowing he couldn't overpower Bei Bei directly, Yuwen Tuo exploited his opponent's vulnerabilities instead. At Bei Bei's current level of cultivation, his soul skills were riddled with flaws—flaws that Yuwen Tuo easily detected. Against a soul master of higher rank, however, these imperfections would vanish entirely, leaving no room for exploitation.

"My goodness, is this really a fight between a three-ring Soul Elder and a one-ring soul master? It feels like a battle worthy of a soul monarch!"

"That Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon aside, who exactly is that boy? His finger techniques are flawless, his saber style ruthless and explosive, and his control over flames unparalleled. How did we miss such a prodigy among the freshmen?"

"Bei Bei isn't gaining any advantage at all! Surely, he can't lose today—I've bet everything on him! If he loses, I'm ruined!"

After fending off Might of Thunder, Yuwen Tuo seized the opportunity to counterattack. With a single slash, he carved a path through the storm of lightning and closed the distance once more. Armed with his saber, his attacks became significantly sharper and deadlier than before.

Counting his earlier skirmishes with Xu Sanshi, Bei Bei had already used five soul skills consecutively. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon's formidable offensive capabilities came at a steep cost: Bei Bei's soul power reserves were rapidly depleting. At just over thirty levels of cultivation, this expenditure left him dangerously low on energy, resulting in diminished attributes across the board.

Yuwen Tuo understood that he couldn't compete with Bei Bei in terms of brute force or soul power. Instead, he adopted a guerilla-style strategy: retreating when the enemy advanced and striking when they faltered. Having spent much of the battle in defensive mode, he now launched his assault as Bei Bei's reserves dwindled.

Yuwen Tuo's saber danced like lightning, swift and precise, leaving Bei Bei no room to breathe.

From the sidelines, Tang Ya shouted, "Bei Bei, use Ghost Shadow Maze!"

Following her advice, Bei Bei performed a feint-like maneuver, attempting to evade Yuwen Tuo's blade. However, to his shock, he realized that his head remained perilously close to Yuwen Tuo's saber.

"How is this possible?" Bei Bei exclaimed in disbelief. Yuwen Tuo had matched his movements perfectly.

"Your footwork is decent," Yuwen Tuo chuckled, "but it's nowhere near enough to challenge mine." The pinnacle of the Divine Fire Avatar Manual emphasized movement techniques, allowing practitioners to transform into streaks of fire and teleport instantaneously—far surpassing the capabilities of Ghost Shadow Maze.

"Bei Bei-senpai, this ends now. Taste the variation of my first soul skill—the Flame Execution Slash!"

Yuwen Tuo channeled all his flame energy into a single, concentrated slash. The blade sliced cleanly through the weak point of Bei Bei's Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon manifestation.

With a resounding boom, Bei Bei's spirit weapon shattered, and his body was sent flying off the stage.

The match was decided.
