Chapter 36 - The start of chaos

Markus nodded to him. "Thanks, Veyne."

Veyne waved his hand. "No need. I didn't tell you guys some big secret. It's just common stuff that many players ignore at the start, which limits their potential."

Both Markus and Alex nodded their heads.

Alex once again asked, "If you don't mind, Veyne, are you serious about your guild disbanding? What happened? I saw you guys just complete some big quest."

Veyne just clicked his tongue. "Nah, those were just some common tasks—nothing much. And why would I lie about my guild disbanding?"

Markus asked from the side, "Oh, but I heard you guys were playing together for the entire year? Why suddenly break the guild?"

Veyne sighed and said, "Let's just say things did not go as we planned."

Both of them became silent at this. They looked at each other and nodded.

Henry, who was watching from the side, said, "Ah, if you're done with your meeting, should we watch some movies?"

Markus jumped onto the sofa. "Yeah, let's go with a horror movie today."

Veyne stood up while yawning. "You guys enjoy the movie. I have to sleep now."

Alex tilted his head. "Sleep? Dude, it's barely 9. Are you some granny that needs to go to bed early?"

Veyne rubbed his eyes and started walking toward his room. "Nah, it's just—after the entire day of gaming, my head hurts."

The other three looked at each other.

One of them even said, "Geek."

Veyne didn't care about that stuff as he entered his room. He jumped on his bed and checked his phone for a moment.

It was still full of messages and missed calls—mostly from his guild members, his girlfriend, and even some unknown numbers.

Likely, those guys were calling him from new numbers.

"Ah, I'll deal with them tomorrow." He barely said that before he blacked out.

Not even a second later, he started snoring, lost in sleep and free from all worries.

While Veyne slept like a log, his actions in-game had already started a fire.

The Apex Online local forum was full of people sharing videos about Sir Birdy.

Many who died in the raid blamed him, while others were busy defending him.

All this back-and-forth made #SirBird trend on the local forum, with many local players even releasing videos related to the event.

Inside the Dicaso Bar, Roonie sat in the VIP section, fondling the breasts of two of his new girlfriends.

The two girls enjoyed his company as they chugged one drink after another.

It was a dream come true for party girls like them.

Boom! Boom!

Outside, the music sped up as one girl got on her knees and started to unzip his pants.

The second one pulled his face and started licking his neck, then moved toward his chest.

Roonie just sat there with a beer bottle in one hand while squeezing the second girl's boobs.

Things were about to get heated when they heard a loud ring!

Trrrr Trrrr Trrrrr

Roonie raised his eyebrow and asked, "Who is it?"

The girl, on her knees, moved toward the table and read the caller ID. "Ah, Roonie, it's from someone saved as Bitch Number 2."

The moment Roonie heard the caller ID, he shook his head, pushed the second girl away, and picked up the phone while cursing inside, 'Fcking slut, why is she calling me?'

He placed the phone next to his ear and said with irritation, "What do you want?"

A sweet but sharp voice answered from the other side. [ No, hi, no hello? Is this how you greet your big sister, little Roonie?]

This ticked off Roonie, but he controlled himself and asked, "Don't waste my time. I'm busy—just tell me why you called."

[Busy? Puff. Don't tell me you're still in those sluts. Haha, you're helpless.]

Roonie rubbed his forehead and said, "You're one to talk. Should I—ah, forget it. Just tell me why you called."

The tone on the other end changed, becoming devoid of sweetness. [Don't act like you don't know anything. Who is this Forsyx guy? Are you going back on our deal?]

"What Forsyx? Don't speak nonsense—just tell me clearly."

[Puff, haha. Are you for real? Forget it—what could I expect from a junkie? Let me get to the point. I'm interested in this Forsyx guy in your guild. Hand him over, and I'll add an extra 10 percent every month.]

The moment Roonie heard that it was about the game, he told the girls, "You girls wait outside for a moment and send one of my bodyguards in."

The two of them shrugged their shoulders. They grabbed their last drinks before moving out of the room.

Once they were out, Roonie asked her, "You are interested in one of my guild members; did I hear it right?"

She started laughing. [You can keep your guild to yourself. I'm only interested in the new guy.]

Roonie tilted his head and thought, 'What the fck? When did I even hire any new players?' Even though he wasn't sure who she was talking about, he still rejected her. "Didn't I tell you not to mess with my guild?"

She replied in an ice-sharp tone. [Haha. In that case, I hope you're prepared to deal with everything without my support.]

Roonie clenched his fist. "So you're threatening me now?"

[Oh, don't be like that. Why would I threaten my baby brother? Well then, I'll give you 2 days. Take your time; discuss everything with that guild leader of yours. My offer remains the same—send the new guy to me, or handle things without me.]

With that, she disconnected the phone.

[Click]

Roonie stared at his phone with red eyes and screamed, "Fcking bitch!"

He looked at the two guards who had just entered and said, "Call Zack here and find out who this Forsyx is."

Both of them nodded and left.

Roonie reached for another bottle, but then his phone started ringing again.

Trrrr Trrrr

He checked the caller ID: 'Bastard Number 1.' He picked up the phone and said with a forced smile, "Hello, big bro…"
