Chapter 49 - Chapter 49

Warship.

"Colonel, should we fire?"

Karl shook his head. Fire? Never mind, Moria will handle it.

The Flame Pirates have fallen into a trap, and he doesn't believe that Moria won't take action; perhaps the people on their ship are one of Moria's targets.

The Seven Warlords of the Sea, heh-heh, they're not the lapdogs of the World Government and Marines, as the pirates say.

"Lord, the prey is caught, it's the Flame Pirates, but the Marines is also following them."

Moria, dozing on his throne, opened his eyes, spread his arms, and laughed: "Heh-heh-heh~ Pirates or Marines, I want all their shadows!!!"

"Everything else is yours! Absalom."

"Yes, Lord!"

Then Absalom left the castle and prepared to tighten the net.

At sea, the Flame Pirates were desperately fleeing. They wanted to unleash their artillery to intimidate, but as soon as they launched a shell, a massive flying slash came from the military ship behind them, directly cutting off their lookout tower, almost scaring them to death.

The flying slash—a symbol of a swordsman—meant there was a fleet swordsman on the ship behind them, and such people are definitely not to be provoked.

So they could only run for their lives, and Karl was in no hurry to pursue, slowly following the Flame.

"Boss, why is there a wall in front of us!"

"What! How is that possible!?" How could there be such a large wall at sea?

Rosh rubbed his eyes in disbelief, but there was indeed a stone wall extending for a thousand meters ahead of them, with only one passage in sight. Even a fool could sense that something was off.

But the problem was the Marines pursuing them. If they didn't enter the passage, they'd be sitting ducks for the fleet's swordsman.

"Let's take the risk! Steer the ship there!"

"Boss, that's a ghost wall! We shouldn't go there! Once we enter, we'll be consumed by evil spirits!"

Rosh turned and said, "What nonsense, are you the Captain or am I the Captain? Steer the ship there, or wait for the fleet to come and send us to the city?"

So, the Flame slightly adjusted its course and headed toward the passage.

"Colonel, they're heading toward the passage. Should we follow them? It's obviously a trap!"

Karl waved his hand, "Follow them; our marines fears no schemes!"

"Yes, Sir!"

Ten minutes later, as Karl's ship entered the passage, there was a rumbling sound from behind. It turned out that the passage was slowly closing.

Finally, there was a loud noise, as if a monster had shut its bloody jaws, and the atmosphere grew increasingly eerie.

If Karl hadn't stood fearlessly at the bow, I'm afraid the Marines would have panicked long ago.

In the end, such absurd and strange things at sea easily make people think of demons.

Karl isn't a fierce General, and he doesn't have any special feelings for this group of frightened Marines. It's just human nature.

"I must say, Moria, this fat fellow really has something. The atmosphere is great."

Karl, knowing who was behind all this, didn't panic at all. He thought that if Moria hadn't become a pirate and had opened a Phantom House, it would have been a hit, and he might have even earned the title of King of Horror.

"Colonel, why aren't the Flame Pirates moving? Hey! They dare to drop anchor!"

Nelson was astonished. The pirates who had just been fleeing in a panic had now actually dropped anchor in front of them. They were truly bold! Were they ready to fight?

But they didn't know that the pirates on the Flame were already in disarray.

"Who did this? What idiot did this!"

The younger crew members exchanged glances, and no one moved! No, there must be a ghost here!

"Old man, old man, boss, look at yourself!"

Rosh fell silent, staring at the completely locked anchor and the sound of footsteps, even though there was no one nearby.

The younger brother behind him screamed more shrilly than a woman.

"Ahhhhh! There's a ghost here!!!"

"Bam~"

Karl, who had fallen from the sky, laughed at the chaotic Flame Pirates. They were so scared, even before stepping onto the island. No wonder Moria was so successful here!

"Pirates, you're under arrest!"

Hearing Karl's voice, the frightened pirates seemed to see a lifeline.

One of the underlings right in front of Karl slipped and fell to his knees: "Take me! I want to go to Impel Down. There are ghosts here!"

"It's all right, it's all right, there's no need to be afraid anymore!"

The raven on Karl's shoulder cawed, transforming into a sharp blade and slashing the pirate's throat, splattering bright red blood.

"marines! The marines is coming!"

"Don't worry about them! Take out that damn marines first!!!"

Karl smiled, holding Raven in one hand as he slowly approached the pirates.

A few minutes later, the only one left standing on the pirate ship was Rosh Thompson, but both his arms had been cut off by Karl.

Karl had been merciful to this group of guys who tormented civilians and raped women; at least they died peacefully.

After giving Rosh a holy bullet to prevent death from blood loss, he was tied up.

"Nelson, throw him in prison."

"Yes, Sir!"

Nelson saluted enthusiastically, sighing as he thought about how powerful Captain Karl was. This was a pirate group with a total bounty of about 140 million! Colonel Karl could easily handle it alone.

The process was a bit bloody, but for pirates, it was an end they deserved.

Absalom, watching from the side, was nearly scared to death. He didn't dare make a sound, fearing he would be discovered by this fleet killer.

This man was scarier than Hogback. He was simply a demon, killing without batting an eye.

"No, I must return as soon as possible and inform the Lord about this. This marines is too strong. I can't defeat it!"

And so, Absalom quietly sneaked through the corpses. He thought he was well-hidden, but it was all noticed by Karl's observation abilities, and he just pretended not to see.

"Ha-ha-ha, this marines didn't catch me! My ability is really useful!"

Absalom was overjoyed and eagerly ran towards the terrifying prison.

"Colonel, Rosh is already in the cell. What should we do next?"

Karl smiled, looked at the ominous prison in front of him, and said, "Recently, a pirate tried to attack me and escaped. Gather the men, let's go inside and take a look!"

Well, it's a very useful excuse. Even if he meets Moria face to face, he'll have something to say.

Nelson looked at Karl with confusion. How could a pirate escape from you?
