"How much time will Tanjiro and the others need to recover?" Xander asked, handing a potion to Shinobu Kocho.
Shinobu Kocho looked at him with confusion.
"They are expected to recover in two weeks. What happened?" she asked.
Xander shook his head.
"Oh, nothing special. I just hope you can train them after their recovery, so they can master full concentration," he replied.
After these words, Xander headed towards the door.
Shinobu Kocho watched him go and said with a smile:
"Do you think they have the potential to become Pillars?"
Xander stopped by the door, turned, and tossed back over his shoulder:
"Yes, they are all gifted. Perhaps our generation will truly be able to destroy Muzan Kibutsuji."
Then he left the Butterfly Mansion. As soon as he crossed the threshold, a raven descended onto his shoulder.
"Northeast North, demon traces have been spotted on the mountain in the Northeast North! The next assignment is Northeast North!" the raven cawed.
Xander sighed.
"Oh, it seems I won't be able to rest; I'll have to keep taking on assignments," he said.
Then he set off for his destination.
Time flew by, and a month passed.
After severing the head of a six-armed demon, Xander picked up the black iron chest that had fallen to the ground and looked at the spider pattern on his hand with confusion.
"A month has passed, and I haven't killed a single demon? Or am I just unlucky? Does the chest not appear after killing a demon?" he mused aloud.
Xander shook his head, dismissing gloomy thoughts.
"Well, anyway, when I'm near Rosa, this pattern should at least tell me something. I'll wait for the chance to meet her," he decided.
Xander headed to the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters.
Meanwhile, in a cave on the mountain, a large black bear slept, curled up.
Suddenly, frost began spreading across the cave walls.
Even the thick-skinned bear woke up from the cold. It looked around and saw that its cave had transformed into a bright blue icy world.
When the bear tried to leave the cave, it was trapped by a blue icy web and shredded into pieces.
With a crash, the stone wall at the very back of the cave turned into ruins and collapsed, revealing the figure of a blonde woman who emerged from the depths of the cave.
"I didn't expect that the master's blood could indeed grant power to demons." The feeling of power... it's simply amazing," whispered Rosa, examining her snow-white, crystal-like fingers.
She snapped her fingers.
In front of Rosa appeared an ice spider the size of a man.
"Of course, I can't create a five-meter-tall ice ball with a snap like the master, but this effect is sufficient," Rosa said.
Then she gently clapped her hands, and the man-sized ice spider instantly broke into numerous small ice spiders.
"Since the master ordered me to kill demons, I'll have to find new prey," Rosa said as she slowly stepped out of the cave.
Her white fingers moved over the hard stone as if she didn't notice it.
As soon as she left the cave, countless little ice spiders scattered in all directions. Soon some of them disappeared, and Rosa saw the attacking demon they were hunting.
"Finally found a target. A month of doing nothing... The master would probably be angry. So, you'll be my target, ha-ha-ha!" chuckled Rosa and vanished in the blink of an eye.
Xander returned to the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters and headed to the Butterfly Mansion.
Upon reaching the Butterfly Mansion, he entered the house next door.
This was Xander's mansion, his own home in this world.
A month ago, Xander made a request to Ubuyashiki Yoe, and in less than a month, this mansion was built.
Looking at the house, Xander smiled slightly.
"Two days ago, I received news that the mansion was ready, but I was on a mission and didn't return. Today, I can finally enjoy some comfort," Xander thought.
Xander quickly inspected the mansion. A month of missions had worn him out, and he felt the fatigue in his body. So he took a shower, refreshed himself, returned to his room, and immediately lay down.
Unexpectedly, Xander felt that something was off.
"Hmm? Why is the blanket so warm?" he muttered.
Xander reached out to figure out what was going on and discovered that someone was beside him!
At that moment, a powerful blow hit his chest.
Xander instantly sobered up. He jumped to his feet and quickly lit the lamp.
Click!
Light filled the room. Mitsuri Kanroji and Shinobu Kocho were sitting in their pajamas.
Seeing the flushed faces of Shinobu Kocho and Mitsuri Kanroji, Xander gulped and asked:
"Shinobu, Mitsuri, what are you doing here?"
Shinobu Kocho calmly replied:
". Xander, when you come home, shouldn't you knock on the door?"
— Sorry, I didn't know you were here. Goodbye! — Xander quickly apologized and, turning, headed for the exit.
As he took a step, he suddenly remembered:
— No! Isn't this my house?
Xander turned back and saw that Shinobu Kocho had already picked up the Sun Blade.
Xander ran out of the house without looking back and finally sat helplessly on a divan in the living room.
— What the heck is going on?! — he muttered.
The next morning...
Xander woke up to find that Shinobu Kocho and Mitsuri Kanroji were no longer in the room. He headed to the Butterfly Mansion. As soon as he entered the yard, he saw Tanjiro exercising.
— Keep at it! Keep at it! Keep at it! Keep at it! — Tanjiro shouted, trying his best, hauling heavy stones under a tree.
Xander smiled softly, approached Tanjiro, and greeted him.
"Hi, Tanjiro!"
Seeing Xander, Tanjiro loosened his grip, and two stones fell to the ground with a thud.
"Senior Xander! You're back!" Tanjiro exclaimed joyfully.
Xander nodded with a smile.
"Yes, I've been on a mission for a while and came back to rest for a couple of days," he replied.
Hearing this, Tanjiro was a bit taken aback and looked at Xander in surprise.
"Does that mean Senior Xander was on a mission for a whole month?!" he exclaimed.
Xander nodded.
"Yes, I plan to watch how you train during this rest period," he responded.
Hearing Xander's words, Tanjiro felt somewhat embarrassed.
"Uh... uh... Zenitsu and Inosuke aren't participating in training today," he said.
Xander understood that Zenitsu and Inosuke had likely been reprimanded by Kanao and just opted out of training.
"I see. I'll let them join the training again," he said.
Then Xander smiled, waved his hand, left the courtyard, and entered the house.
Xander didn't look for Zenitsu and Inosuke; instead, he went to find Shinobu Kocho.
Seeing that Shinobu Kocho was still studying the potion he had given her, Xander asked:
"How is the research progressing?"
Shinobu Kocho had known about his arrival for a while, but she continued to observe and analyze the potion's composition, ignoring him. Only when she mixed a new batch of the potion did she address Xander.
"Try the effect of the potion," she said, handing him a vial.
