"As expected, the corrupt Konoha high-ranking officials are still full of schemes, even now. This filthy village deserves to be destroyed!" Tendou Yahiko had no words left to express his frustration toward Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzo.
He had heard many times before that these two had no character, but now, seeing their actions, it was clear that they were still thinking only of their own agendas. Senju Tobirama, who took them both as disciples, had truly been cursed for eight lifetimes.
As Tendou's voice fell, the other six paths of Pain began to move, launching their attack.

Sarumo, known as the strongest summoned beast, certainly lived up to its reputation. Its power was above that of many other summoned beasts, even surpassing the ones summoned by Wenta and the others. Unless the summoned beast was on the same level as the immortal beasts from the three holy places, no other creature could rival Sarumo.
Shimura Danzo, however, felt the urge to escape. During the Nine-Tails Rebellion, he had hidden away, and when the Akatsuki organization was destroyed before, he had run away once again. It seemed that Danzo was still not above running when the situation became dangerous. But when he realized his escape route had been blocked, he had no choice but to fight back with all his strength.
"Is this what you want, Father?" The battle outside caught the attention of Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Itachi. Itachi looked at his father with growing disappointment.
"Indeed, the Uchiha clan is the cancer of Konoha," Uchiha Itachi thought. "If the Uchiha clan didn't exist, Konoha wouldn't have found itself in this situation."
"Konoha was the first to betray the Uchiha!" Uchiha Fugaku snapped, his disappointment in his son deepening. "If that masked man hadn't told me about your plans, the Uchiha clan would likely have been exterminated by now, wouldn't they?"
"It seems we have nothing left to say to each other," Uchiha Itachi closed his eyes, but when he opened them again, a special pattern had appeared in his Mangekyō Sharingan. To his surprise, Uchiha Fugaku's eyes also shifted into Mangekyō Sharingan.
"500,000 for this one, 2 million for that one!" Kakuzu and his teammates were methodically selecting their "goods" from the ninjas they had killed, cutting off their heads in the process. For Kakuzu, entering Konoha was just like shopping at a hypermarket.

Another arrow flew, and the Akatsuki members hurriedly moved to block it.
"Is it finally happening like this?" Smith walked over to Uzumaki Kushina's side. Despite the Uzumaki clan's vitality, after the Nine-Tails had been extracted from her twice, her life force was nearly gone.
"Who are you?" Uzumaki Kushina looked at Smith weakly, her gaze unfocused.
"We haven't met, but you've met my partner, the one who helped you seal the Nine-Tails," Smith explained softly. He paused, as if remembering something, then placed a hand gently on her body. A surge of vitality flowed into her, reviving some of her life force. "Your vitality is like a funnel. Even if you have more of it, it will always be drained away. However, if you seal the Nine-Tails again, you should be alright... at least for another three to five years."
"No need." Uzumaki Kushina shook her head slowly. "If I become a Jinchūriki again, I will still be found. The Nine-Tails is a curse, not a blessing. For Naruto, the Nine-Tails is a helper, but for me, it's a nightmare."
"Can I ask you for a favor?" Uzumaki Kushina asked softly.
"Oh?" Smith raised an eyebrow. He wasn't familiar with her, so why would she ask him for help?
"Can I ask you to take Naruto away and look after him? After the Nine-Tails lost control twice, Naruto will become hostile to all of Konoha. I don't want him to stay here," Uzumaki Kushina continued, her voice filled with genuine concern. "I will leave a chakra imprint in Naruto's body to tell him the truth. In exchange, I can give you all the sealing techniques of the Uzumaki clan."
Uzumaki Kushina said this earnestly. Namikaze Minato had chosen to believe his son would become a hero of the village, but Uzumaki Kushina, as a mother, only wanted her child to live a good life, away from the chaos.
"Can you open the seal on the Book of Seals?" Smith asked.
Uzumaki Kushina was taken aback. "I didn't expect you to be interested in the Book of Seals. The seal on it was placed by Grandma Mito herself. If you get the Book of Seals, I can help you open it."
"I'll arrange for a very skilled teacher to guide Naruto. She will take the best care of him. He will receive the best guidance, and there's no doubt he could surpass Namikaze Minato one day. It's even possible he will surpass Hashirama Senju. You'll see all of this in Naruto's growth," Smith said after a brief moment of hesitation. He hadn't refused to take Naruto away. Who knew if he would ever come back to this world again in the future? Not only Naruto, but also Sasuke.
