Soul Integrity:
Soul Integrity is a person's connection to the Veil—the mysterious force that flows through all living things. The stronger a person's emotions, and the more attuned they were to the Veil at birth, the stronger their Soul Integrity.
Soul Integrity affects how powerful someone's Veil Arts are. That's why in moments of strong emotion—like deep anger, grief, or joy—people can suddenly become stronger or unlock new abilities.
Types of Veil Arts
There are four main types of Veil Arts, though many of them can overlap.
Physical – These arts change or improve the body. They might make someone faster, stronger, or help them heal. Some can also affect other people's bodies.
Spiritual – These affect the soul. They can strengthen a person's spirit, defend against soul attacks, or even harm the soul of others.
Elemental – These arts let people control the world around them. Most users specialize in one or two elements like fire, water, earth, or wind. This type is common and often flashy.
Divine Blessing – These powers are rare and granted directly by a god or a divine being. They are often unique and very powerful. The only peopl these can be found in are Heroes and Saints.
Common Veil Arts
Some Veil Arts appear universally in specific races or species. Though humans cannot all use it unlike other species who are almost always born with Veil Arts.These are called Common Veil Arts. A few examples include:
[SORCERY] – Widespread among demons and humans. All demons have it but only 1-2% of humans have it.
[IRON BODY] – Common in humans, who have weaker natural bodies. About 10% of their population have this.
[SPIRIT SORCERY], [ONE WITH THE FOREST], and [STONE SHAPING] – and many more are found in certain races tied to nature or the land.
Most people are born with their race's common Veil Art. A few rare individuals also have a second, unique Veil Art just for them. Even among people with the same Veil Art, how they use it can vary a lot.
Take [SORCERY], for example. Some people use fire, others use earth, and some discover a strange, rare kind of magic that's all their own. [SORCERY] is very flexible, so it often mixes with other Veil Arts.
Humans and [AURA]:
Humans are weaker in body compared to many other species, and their bodies can't handle much mana directly. To work around this, they use their Soul Integrity as a kind of magical storage. They gather their energy there, and then release it through their body to create a special energy called [AURA].
[AURA] is a powerful form of magic that enhances the body—making people faster, stronger, or tougher. It can even let people fire energy blasts or sense danger.
The stronger a human's Soul Integrity, the more powerful their [AURA] can be. That's why humans with high Soul Integrity can stand toe-to-toe with even the strongest races.
Aura is an alteration of [IRON BODY] so any human born with [IRON BODY] can learn aura.
[SORCERY],unlike in demons is rare in humans
[IRON BODY] is much more common.
Veil Arts only really seem to arise in intelligent species.
While intelligence is a broad concept,goblins,atleast low-ranking ones,most monsters that live without a proper society are excluded.
Dragons are born with [SUPREME POWER]
But it's full power is still unknown.
