Elena stepped out of her room dressed in a pretty white sundress. Her red hair was packed in a messy bun, framing her beautiful heart-shaped face.
"Good morning my Queen, you look exquisite. Warrior Ruko complimented, bowing his head in respect.
Elena acknowledged his greeting by simply nodding her head then started walking away, gracefully like Madame Lucille had taught. Irene followed behind and warrior Ruko followed as well. He was supposed to be on guard in case of any threat outside.
Soon, they arrived at the garden and Elena was awed at the scenery. This garden was far more beautiful and bigger than the garden where she normally went for her training. The flowers were vibrant, the grass soft and neatly trimmed, and a gentle breeze carried the sweet scent of blooming roses through the air. Butterflies fluttered around, and a small fountain bubbled peacefully at the center. Stepping into it, Elena felt like a princess.
There were over four gardens in the palace, and this place was one of the best. It was quite perfect for someone like the Queen.
Elena sat on the bench under a tree as she took in her surroundings. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she allowed her mind to run wild.
Irene stood next to her, gently fanning her with an expensive handmade fan, while warrior Ruko stood a little far ahead, observing every tiny detail of the Queen. She was insanely beautiful. A soft girl like her should not be with a cold-hearted man like the King.
He had thought.
Well, warrior Ruko knew he could never be with someone as precious as Elena but that would not stop him from having a taste of her. The thought of it made his member harden but he quickly maintained his composure. It wasn't time yet.
Meanwhile, Elena could not stop thinking about what Papa See had said the previous night. She had tried to forget about it, but she couldn't just ignore it. He might have been drunk but the terror in his eyes was unmistakable. Calamity? Death? Bond? It was all too much to take in.
And the look in the man's eyes, he genuinely looked like he had met them somewhere. He was so certain that they were supposed to be dead.
Elena heaved a sigh, goosebumps prickling at her skin as she remembered the night. How was King Killian not even bothered about this?
Elena turned to Irene, ready to ask about Papa See, but stopped when Irene suddenly clutched her stomach with both hands.
Her face contorted in pain as it turned into a deep shade of red. She let out a soft whimper, eyes glistening with unshed tears. "M-My queen," she gasped, voice trembling, "I think I need to use the restroom."
"M-my Queen please." Irene pleaded, her hands wrapping tighter around her stomach. She was in so much pain that it felt like something was biting at her stomach.
"O-okay. You may lea–"
Before Elena could even finish her sentence, Irene sprinted out of the garden, holding her stomach with one hand and her bum with the other, screaming "Incoming! Incoming!"
Elena shook her head in worry as she watched Irene go. She gasped in shock when Irene suddenly tripped and fell. However, she quickly got up running again until she got inside. Shockingly, she was laughing as if the pain she was feeling inside was nothing.
Irene might be bubbly, but it doesn't mean she's immune to pain, right?
"Perhaps, she had something to eat that had upset her stomach." Warrior Ruko commented, acting like he wasn't the one who gave Irene a poisoned cake to eat earlier.
Of course, she would not die as he never planned to kill her because he knew King Killian would trace it back to him. He only wanted her to be occupied until he was done with Elena.
Fortunately for him, he was able to convince Irene to take Elena to the quietest garden, knowing that no guards would be around. Irene was so naive and he was grateful that such a foolish person became the Queen's royal servant.
"Yeah, I hope she is alright," Elena commented, still looking at the direction Irene ran off to.
She soon looked away.
"My Queen, I must say, you look very beautiful." Warrior Ruko suddenly commented. "The King is surely lucky to have you." He added, smiling like a cheapish goat.
"Uhm. Your job is simply to stay on guard right?" Elena asked as she looked up at the warrior. "It is very unprofessional for you to talk to me." She added, her eyes scanning him.
For some strange reason, Elena did not like the warrior standing before her. He just gave off this very bad energy and it made her uncomfortable. "I'll take my leave. I'd rather wait for Irene inside. It's not so fun anymore without her here." She said as she rose from the chair, ready to leave.
Warrior Ruko's eyes darkened. The calm expression on his face immediately turned beastly. It was as if a dark cloud suddenly hovered over his head. He let out a displeased growl as he watched Queen Elena try to leave.
"My Queen." Warrior Ruko said in a calm tone as he went to stand in front of her, instantly blocking her path. "I had really wanted to do this the easy way, but it seems we'd be going with the hard way now." He continued the calm expression on his face now slowly forming into a frown.
Elena raised her brow in surprise as she slowly took some steps back. The look on the warrior's face was dangerous and it made her heart race. "W-what are you talking about?"
"My Queen, do you know how beautiful you are?" Warrior Ruko asked as he moved closer to Elena, his eyes glinting with dark desires. "Do you know how long I've been dreaming about you?" He added as he tried to tuck a strand of hair behind Elena's ear.
However, before he could reach her, Elena slapped his arms off. Her eyes grew wide in anger as she tried to yell. "W-what is wrong with you?!" Tears rolled down her eyes.
What the warrior was doing reminded her of the time her cousin, Malik tried to take advantage of her. That day, she had almost killed someone, and it still haunted her. She did not want what happened that day to ever repeat itself. Ever.
Elena was not stupid, she knew exactly what warrior Ruko wanted from her. The look in his eyes said it all. "P-please stop this." She tried to plead, still slowly moving back in fear.
"Shit!" She couldn't help but curse when she looked around and realized that she was alone in the garden.
"Sorry, love, I would have negotiated this with you. But it seems you're a stubborn one." Warrior Ruko said, his tone dripping with excitement. His eyes turned gold as his wolf reached the surface, also very excited.
Before Elena could even say another word, warrior Ruko knocked her out. He caught her before she fell to the ground, then he brought out a small jar, slid the lid open, and then poured the powder on Elena's face.
It was something a witch gave to him. By doing this, it was made certain that Elena would not recall what had happened to her before she fainted.
It meant that warrior Ruko would get away with Elena that day!
