It was raining lightly outside the window, and the room remained dim, cloaked in thick curtains.
Shiro Sakamaki stirred awake, the memories of last night still fresh. A smile crept onto his face as he reflected on the absurdity and passion that had taken place.
He unlocked his phone and was greeted with a flood of unread messages—most of them from Shizuka Hiratsuka, berating him for not behaving like a student. But Shiro wasn't the least bit concerned.
"She says I don't act like a student," he scoffed. "But does she look like a teacher?"
He had already submitted a leave request. One more absence wouldn't hurt—especially since schoolwork posed no real challenge for someone with his learning speed. He'd ace the tests anyway, and that would be enough to shut Shizuka up.
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts. It was the hotel waiter delivering breakfast. Shiro took the dining cart, handed the man a small tip, and requested he return later to collect it.
When Shiro wheeled the breakfast into the bedroom, Yukinoshita Haruno was already awake, freshly bathed and completely unbothered by modesty. She moved around the room comfortably, her body still flushed from the lingering warmth of the hot springs and last night's intimacy.
Shiro swallowed hard but held back, reminding himself it had been her first time. Restraint—at least for now.
"Why don't you rest a bit more? Are you feeling alright?" he asked gently, his usual cheekiness absent.
Haruno gave a light laugh. "Are you feeling guilty now? You were pretty intense last night…"
Her tone was teasing, but there was a softness in her expression—a new vulnerability that hadn't been there before.
Shiro smiled wryly. "You were the one who started it. Don't shift the blame to me now."
"Oh? So now that you've had your fun, are you going to leave me?"
She pouted dramatically, eyes full of mock sorrow. But behind the performance was real curiosity—would he stay?
"I'm not that kind of guy," Shiro replied. "Since we've come this far, I'll take responsibility."
That was all she needed to hear. Haruno's pout transformed into a bright smile.
"I knew you were the best, Shiro-kun!"
"Alright, let's eat. You must be starving after all that… exercise," Shiro said, grinning.
Haruno rolled her eyes and slumped over the table dramatically. "Ugh, I'm too tired to lift chopsticks. Feed me."
"You're older than me. Shouldn't you be setting the example?"
"Age doesn't matter when you're cute. Now, feed me or I'll pout!"
Shiro sighed with a grin. "Fine, you win, Miss Big-Breasts."
He brought food to her lips, and she obediently took each bite. When he offered her a piece of fruit with his fingers, she bit down lightly and gave him a mischievous look, licking his fingers before letting go.
"Careful, you're playing with fire," Shiro warned. "Push me too far and you'll be the one crying."
Haruno smirked. "I'd like to see you try."
That was the final straw. Shiro dropped the utensils and lunged toward her, their breakfast momentarily forgotten.
Outside, the rain continued to pour, and Haruno—feeling sore and thoroughly worn out—decided not to return to school for the day. With her mother handling company affairs, she had the freedom to laze around guilt-free.
By afternoon, Haruno was cocooned under the blanket, groaning about her sore body.
"Hmph. No sense of mercy at all… It was my first time, you know."
"You were the one who lit the fire," Shiro chuckled. "Now I'm the one to blame?"
She mumbled something inaudible and pulled the blanket tighter.
Meanwhile, Shiro stood by the window, staring at the gloomy sky. The conditions were perfect.
He had been stuck at Tier 7—Nuclear Level—for a while now. With enough training, he figured it was time to take the next step.
He also had the Level-Breaking Pill provided by the system, a rare artifact capable of helping those below Tier 6: Tectonic Level break through safely.
"Let's do this," he murmured.
