Chapter 10 - The Two Weeks He was Gone

Danso slept until sunset, and the moon was at its peak, glaring down on the Earth as he got ready for the night. It had been two weeks since he was gone, therefore, there must be trouble running amok on the streets.

"This was the first major break I took in three years, so it's fine, I guess," thought Danso as he was leaping through the city rooftops searching for any crime.

In a nearby store, the lights were flickering on and off, like a signal, for someone to come and help them. When spotting the store, Danso went on top of it and used his contact lens to assess what was happening inside the place. The shop was a pharmacy, and the owner and cashier were on the floor with their hands up and flicking the lights secretly. The gang members thought it was an electricity problem.

"How dumb can these criminals truly get?" laughed Danso as he was ready to strike from above.

Danso slashed the roof, creating a hole in it. All the criminals looked up as the moonlight glared on them, along with a man in a dark red suit. Danso jumped inside and knocked one man out with the landing. Two more men ran towards him, and Danso kicked one of the men with his leg on the neck and used his opposite hand to slice the man, scaring his stomach. Both of the henchmen fell in exhaustion and fainted. The Red Samurai stared at the remaining henchmen, almost signaling them to get lost and live instead of fighting him. Of course, they did not get the signal, and all of them attacked him. Danso spun his sword as a shield to block all their attacks and kicked their legs to make them fall or be out of balance. Using this moment to finish them off, slicing them all and making them fall on the ground. He left one person and picked him up, and started interrogating him.

"If I see you guys do this once more, I'll murder you!" threatened the Red Samurai in a deep voice.

Suddenly, from behind, Danso felt a stab on the back as he turned around to see it was the cashier and the owner of the pharmacy. As Danso fell down to the ground along with the men, the owner revealed the name of the pharmacy, and to Danso's surprise, it was owned by Baltrax.

"Dang it! It was a trap," thought Danso as he tried to heal himself.

Danso got up and picked up his sword, then the owner drank a drug that started to transform his body. The man's nails became longer, the skin became more scaly, the muscles became larger, the hair started falling off, the color of the skin became red, and the height also increased to the point where he was towering over Danso. The owner picked up Danso and threw him out the window with the glass shards impaling Danso, and he landed on the sidewalk just outside the pharmacy. It was late at night with barely any people around. Danso got up bleeding and healed himself with the auto first aid his suit had.

"I guess I have to use first-stage sorcery, otherwise I can't take his attacks," thought Danso while assessing the monster's key strengths and weaknesses.

The monster jumped at him, not giving him a moment's peace, and Danso dodged him. Danso reinforced his body and sword with maximum first-stage sorcery and proceeded to slash at the monster, yet the monster would not even budge. The monster raised his hand, formed a fist, and then proceeded to land an attack, sending Danso flying towards a building.

"What is this thing? He's fast yet bulky, what weaknesses does he have?" thought Danso

The monster jumped yet again, and Danso dodged and threw his grappling hook towards him and pulling the monster away from destroying buildings and hurting residents. At this point, Danso was exhausted, gasping for air as the monster seemed to have infinite stamina.

"Sword Art of the Dragon:- Dragon's Claw," said Danso

This was Danso's only chance, even though he is still fatigued from the burning house incident and wanted to avoid using his sword art, he had no choice but to beat this monster. Danso's blade started becoming hot as steam started to rise, yet again the blade started to pick up flames, and Danso leaped at the monster, brutally wounding the monster. Danso hesitated in killing it as it was a human being, but he realized that it would cause more harm if it were not taken care of. Prison might be a good idea, but it can break out.

"You chose this. You became this. You knew the consequences. This is not my fault. This is your ending," said Danso as he cut the monster's neck off as it rolled onto the ground.

Danso went and tied up all the remaining gang members and left a note saying the police should thank him, and he went back on the rooftops waiting for a new crime to pop up. The Red Samurai expected more crime to occur since he had been gone for two weeks, but there was nothing going on. It seemed like the fear of him still governed the place.

"Why did they try to capture me?" Danso thought. "And there is no Akuza gang here, there is no Baltrax monster except this mess. The only place I didn't check is the Port! Which I should."

Danso quickly made his way to the port where the containers were sitting lifeless. There was absolutely nobody there, and Danso looked and searched for any sign of life. Then he used his contact lenses to try and pick up any signs of people who were previously here, and to his surprise, he picked up audio soundwaves coming from the nearby container. Danso landed quietly on top of the container and started listening, but the audio was too fuzzy, therefore, he cut a small hole tiny enough for a nail to fit through and started picking up the noise. It was a board meeting of sorts between the chairman of Baltrax, Sudimous, the leader of the Akuza gang, whose henchmen he had just fought, and the man from the burning house.

"What is he doing here?" questioned Danso as he fought his instincts to get down and fight them all. "It's not a good idea since I barely won against that man from the house, and I want more information. Why would the man want to do anything with the Terror Trinity of Akuza?"

Finally, Danso started listening to the sentences that were being uttered by the people in the container. There were many scientists with the same drug drink that transforms them into monsters, many port members with alkanium bullets and guns, and many gang members with sorcery amplification weapons such as axes and maces since the sword god would not allow swords to be used alongside sorcery, unless if you are Chiro Zanami of course.

"What happened to all of you?" questioned Xeno to the trinity.

"Once upon a time, I thought even I wouldn't be able to take over Akuza because of you! Now what happened?" laughed Xeno.

"This city has changed Xeno or whatever you call yourself," said the Akuza gang leader.

Xeno lunged towards the gang leader and stabbed him straight near the ribs, and pushed the dagger deeper towards the heart. The gang leader screamed and whined in pain and agony as blood started flowing in a river, staining his shirt and Xeno's dark red cultist outfit even redder.

"Now I do not remember permitting you to call me by my name, Dakura! Did I?" screamed Xeno while he fixed his delicate hair and suit. "I am nothing more than the soulless demon for all of you!"

"Fine, fine, please do not kill me, I beg you!" begged Dakura, the Akuza gang leader.

"Good, good," whispered Xeno as he healed Dakura in an instant, just like he had regenerated himself in the burning house.

"Now, back on topic, what is it that you propose?" asked Baltrax.

"Ah, yes, three years back on a fine night, two vigilantes walked up to the streets, beat up your men, caught one of the finest drug lords, the Whiteman, and gave you a warning. You didn't heed their words, and they made you suffer the consequences of dealing with the Knight Ninja and the Red Samurai, as they call themselves," said Xeno.

"You got the story perfectly," stated Sudimous.

"Now that is not something to be proud of, Sudimous! Now my offer is that you give up your men, you give up your souls and facilities to me, and I'll return the city to its original state!" said Xeno.

"Are you crazy!" slammed Baltrax as he was laughing so much that the beer from his mouth started to drool out.

"No, I am not crazy," said Xeno.

"Hard pass," said Baltrax as his scientists prepared to kick him out.

"Wait, listen to me one more time! The Knight Ninja had disappeared from the vigilante business for two and a half weeks now. The Red Samurai disappeared for two weeks. This never happened even once in three years! Why didn't you idiots seize that opportunity to get things back and running!" screamed Xeno as he mocked all of them, spitting on them and getting kicked out.

"I don't want anyone alive in that place," Xeno said to one of his fellow cultists outside the container.

The cultist lit himself on fire and started spreading the fire to the container. Danso, noticing this, jumped down and started to help the man trying to put the fire out, but the man kicked him and mouthed the words no and please for my sake. Danso left that man and went inside the container where all the scientists had already transformed, and all the Terror Trinity had already left the place. Danso just stood there in shock at such a sneaky escape.

"I cannot believe this," thought Danso as he unsheathed his sword. "I've got to end this quickly and catch that Xeno guy and the rest of the trinity", Danso thought.

"Sword Art of the Dragon:- Dragon's Breath," said Danso.

Dragon's Breath is different from Dragon's Claw in two ways. Dragon's Claw is meant to attack one person, and Dragon's Breath is meant to attack multiple opponents. Dragon's claw is stronger than Dragon's Breath. The other difference is that Dragon's Breath can have temporary burn effects, and it can be used at a range.

Danso's blade started picking up flames yet again, and he directed the deem of blazing hot flames straight at the four monsters in front of him. It caused a massive explosion that destroyed two containers and defeated the monsters. Then, Danso sprinted towards the cultists, attacking them one by one before sprinting towards Xeno. He grabbed the man by his shirt and kicked him to find it was nothing but an avatar or clone of his original body.

"Just what is this guy's sorcery ability," thought Danso as he looked at the nearby note on the ground that read:-

"For the Red Samurai, or your real name, Danso Narahara! I know that it is hard for you to maintain two personalities in one body, along with a vigilante! Trust me and come to me, or else I'll have to take you by force."

"This guy is dumb if he thinks I am going to listen to him," thought Danso as he climbed back on the rooftops, ready to try and catch where the rest of the Trinity went.
