Chapter 8 - Chapter 3 – Shadows Behind the Lights!

Hello Everyone, it's me again, Sky!

Previously, we witnessed Azeric's entrance ceremony and his hardworking part-time job. Now, let's shift our curious eyes toward our secret guardian, Aron!

At the Principal's Quarters:

"CLACK... CLACK... CLACK..."

The sound of polished boots echoed through the elegant hallway.

"May I come in, ma'am?" Aron asked, standing straight with a slight respectful smile on his face.

"Yes, please. So, you are our new rookie instructor," Alicia said, looking up from her desk with interest.

Aron entered, adjusting his coat slightly.

"Yes, I joined today. It's my first day at work," he said, trying to hide the slight nervousness in his voice.

"So, I am curious..." Alicia leaned forward slightly, steepling her fingers. "What is your reason or motive for joining the academy?"

Aron paused for a moment, then chuckled softly, scratching the back of his head.

"Well...To tell you the truth, I am here to watch over someone and help him fulfill his destiny. You have guessed who by now, right?"

Alicia stood up and walked toward the large glass window. From there, the whole ground floor was visible, students walking, laughing, making new friends and amidst all this noise, a certain boy sat alone, lost in thoughts about his part-time work.

"Yes," she said softly. "I saw him at the ceremony. He is quite the interesting boy. I saw it inside his eyes... the same eyes I had when I was his age. Full of fire but burdened by responsibility. Instead of making friends, he ran toward his part-time job."

Aron stepped closer, his tone getting serious.

"Yes... He is someone unknown to his own fate, his destiny. And I need to make him ready for what's coming next."

Alicia turned her head, her face now serious.

"Okay then, I won't Stop You from watching, over him from the shadows. Do not confront him unless the situation becomes life-threatening or Serious."

Aron gave a small salute, half-smiling.

"Yes, ma'am! I will take my leave now. I think I might already be late for my lecture."

"Good luck," Alicia said, chuckling lightly. "And Aron... try not to cause too much chaos, alright?"

"No promises!" he said with a wink and exited with quick steps.

The Next Day

Date: Cycle 4 : Year 23 : Day 101

A loud knock echoed through Azeric's small dorm room.

"Wake up, Azeric! Wake up! You're being late for your lecture!"

It was his mom's voice, full of panic and authority.

"BAM!"

Azeric rolled off his bed in panic and landed with a loud "Ouch!"

"What time is it ? ! " he fumbled around for his clock, squinting through sleepy eyes.

He froze.

"Oh nice... it's ALREADY 8 AM?! I better hurry up!" he yelped, jumping to his feet.

In a messy storm of actions, he brushed his teeth in under 20 seconds, threw on random clothes, first inside-out, then fixing it halfway through and made a dash toward the breakfast hall.

In the breakfast area, Azeric crammed a sandwich into his mouth, wearing the deadliest serious expression as if he was going to war.

"Mom... I think I am going to achieve world record speed today," he mumbled through stuffed cheeks.

His mom laughed, ruffling his messy hair.

"Just don't trip and fall on your heroic journey."

With a final dramatic gulp, Azeric threw his bag over his shoulder and bolted out of the breakfast hall, making a mad sprint toward the Academy gate.

Fifteen minutes later...

Azeric stood panting heavily in front of the massive Academy gate. His eyes burned with rage (at himself), hope (that he wasn't too late), and innovation (to come up with excuses for the teacher).

"I made it..." he muttered, wiping the sweat from his forehead dramatically.

Meanwhile...

While Azeric was busy running his own personal Olympics, let's shift our gaze toward our secret guardian, Aron, who was casually heading for his own lecture.

"CLACK... CLACK..."

Aron's boots clicked crisply against the marble Academy floors.

"Hmm... where is this class...?" he muttered, scanning the corridor signs.

 "CLACK... CLACK..."

"Ah, here you are A-1st. So this is my class. I wonder what my students are going to be like," he said to himself, grinning.

Standing before the huge metallic blue door, he noticed tiny lights scanning him.

"Confirmed!. You may enter, Instructor Aron," the AI voice of the door said politely.

"Thank you, Madam Door," Aron said sarcastically, chuckling at his own joke.

He entered.

And paused,

The classroom was so high-tech it almost looked surreal.

Holographic boards floated mid-air. Each student desk blinked softly with personalized AI systems. Windows displayed not only the outside weather but also real-time news updates and announcements. It felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie.

"Woah..." Aron whispered, spinning around like a kid seeing a spaceship.

"If only my school was like this back then..."

Turning to you (yes, breaking the fourth wall with a grin), Aron said:

"Aron glanced toward you , yeah! you , breaking the fourth wall like it was just another door he had to walk through.""Well, guess it's my turn to explain things a bit, isn't it?" he said, with a half-smirk. "Wouldn't want you all getting lost now, would we?"

He winked playfully and pulled out a tiny holographic screen.

"In this Academy, students are divided based on their family's status, intelligence, and contribution to society.

 Here's the simple breakdown:

S-Class students are either royalty or considered the most genius minds of our era.

A-Class students come from Dukes' families or those who have made the greatest contributions to the country.

B-Class students belong to Marquises, people who have collected large civil merit or are the children of high-ranking generals.

C-Class students are children of Viscounts or medium-ranked officials, like knights and commanders.

D-Class students are sons and daughters of Barons, police officers, or special merit holders among commoners.

E-Class students are talented individuals from normal backgrounds, workers, farmers, small-town geniuses.

So yeah! Quite the mixed bag, huh?"

He gave a charming smile.

Meanwhile, Sky's voice chimed in playfully:

"Wow, Aron! Thanks for the super quick guide! You sound like you were born to be a teacher!"

Aron chuckled, whispering to himself:

"Coming back to the story... sigh! I wonder what else she's going to make me do. First secret guardian, now instructor... I was living such a peaceful life back at the city."

He shook his head, smiling bitterly.

"Well, duty calls, I guess," he muttered, adjusting his coat.

And with that, he took a deep breath and stepped fully into the new chapter of his hidden mission.

To be continued...
