"Scary..." Ingrid remarked as he set down the ball he was playing with and sat up.
"However, Chirashi,. I'm also interested in the question that Marin asked earlier." Ingrid informed him as he observed Chirashi's reaction.
Marin shook her head in agreement as she approved of Ingrid's demands.
"Ha, for being the calmest in the group, you sure are nosy." Chirashi, she remarked as she went back to fanning herself.
"Very well, if you must know... Yes. There was a once-in-a-lifetime Fissure who had reached an unbelievable level of power." Chirashi informed
"N-No way! Something as malicious as those monsters can actually reach those levels?!" Marin exclaimed in awe.
"Sure they can; all fissures crave is power. They may look like empty, savage, undead beasts. But their true intent is always to gain power. Because from where they come... evolution is everything." Chirashi advertised before looking out at her hair being blown by the breeze.
"Did you manage to beat it?" Kairo asked.
Chirashi was smirking as she pulled her head back into the room.
"Of course, while it may have been damn near immortal, all fissures still have one weakness." Chirashi states before following with a pause to fan herself.
"Do you always have to be so dramatic?" Kairo questioned with irritation.
"Heh, I guess you'd be the party pooper of the group." Chirashi remarked.
Causing Kairo to stand up in a snappy manner. As he waves his arms around in frustration.
"I'm not a party pooper! You just make everything so theatrical for no reason!" Kairo replies, yet all Chirashi did was smile while fanning herself.
"Yeah, she's most definitely right." Ingrid added as he laid back down onto the ground.
"Why don't you come over here and tell that to my face!" Kairo! he exclaimed as he geared up to fight.
"I'm tired; I don't have the energy to deal with you, party pooper." Ingrid replied calmly.
"GAAHH!" Kairo wailed with frustration.
"A part of their body contains a pocket that works like an inner blood pouch. If this pouch is cut, it will sever the fissures whole abnormal system and cause them to perish into ash." Chirashi interjected to halt the immaturity.
"A blood pouch? Wait, that would explain why they bleed. But I couldn't ever figure out why they vanished into ash afterwards." Kairo recalled.
"Due to their abnormal regenerative bodies, the blood pouch is where they store their reserves; any time a fissure is injured, its system would pull from the pouch and regenerate its injury. However, if its blood pouch ran empty at any time,. Then the fissure would have to regenerate at a slower pace. Which then results in a scar forming... Then in return gives the fissure even more power." Chirashi explained, her eyes focused on the moon outside the window.
Smirking as she thought of how pretty it was.
"That must be why they hunt humans. To fill their blood pouch." Ingrid determined
"Precisely, not only are you calm,. You're quite quick to catch on to things." Chirashi compliments
"Don't feed his ego..." Kairo remarks as he sits back down.
Somewhere in Solnera Village
"Are we ready to go?" Mika asked as she slipped on a silver ring that held a small bluish-white gem that lined it.
"D-Do we really have to do this?" Aiza shyly asked,
"Awwww, Aiza, don't worry your cute little head. I'll make sure you're perfectly safe; after all, I'm the strength of this team!" Ayato expressed himself with sparkles around him as he patted her head gently.
"Quit goofing around; I'm opening the Soul Relay, so be ready." Mika demanded as she held out the ring in front of her.
"Open." Mika commanded
As the ring glistened, a sudden thin beam of blue energy shot from it right in front of her. Concentrating in a single spot before ripping open a massive circular plane of energy. As the beam dispelled. Mika quickly hopped into the soul relay portal. Ayato and Aiza quickly jumped in afterwards.
The soul relay portal instantly shutting behind them, as the group travels through a swirl of abstract blue energy, they stay on a solid path like a tube pulling them in one direction.
"We'll be arriving at Karakami Town within ten minutes. Be ready to stick the landing. As for the mission, once we arrive. We'll use the plan I came up with to take on the proxy." Mika informed as she focused forward.
"What plan is that, Mika?" Aiza asked curiously.
Mika hesitated for a moment before her face started to turn red.
"I-I'm still working on it!" Mika abruptly replies in embarrassment.
"Classic Mika, always jumping ahead without thinking of the first few steps." Ayato smugly mocks as he lies comfortably in the current.
WHAM
A swift kick to Ayato's head staggers him into an unconscious state. His body started to drift out of the stream before being grabbed by Aiza.
"A-Ayato! S-Stay with me! Ayato!!" Aiza shyly encouraged him as she held onto him to keep him from drifting out of the stream.
"The idiot deserved it." Mika murmured as she continued facing forward.
Marin's House
"It's getting late... We should head home for the night." Kairo informed as he stood up to stretch.
"I second that, as much as I love this new world we've been thrown into. I also prefer my sleep." Ingrid agreed.
"Ha, I bet you look like a monster out of one of those scary monster movies without any sleep." Kairo insinuated with a smug look.
"Couldn't be any worse than how you normally look." Ingrid replied back.
"Why you!" Kairo stepped onto Marin's coffee table to get closer to Ingrid.
Chirashi's eyes suddenly darting in a direction out of the window.
"They're on the move." Chirashi, she implied as she swiftly moved outside onto the roof.
"Kairo, time's up... Kentaro Benami is in danger." Chirashi, she informs as she turns to him.
"It's time to see if your training has paid off." Chirashi implies as she closes her fan and points it in the direction of Kentaro.
"Now get to it and make me proud, Kairo Neru!" Chirashi shouted as Kairo stepped out the window with his sword in hand.
His eyes are serious as he gets ready to jump from the roof, but as he looks down, he pauses hesitantly.
"I should take the stairs..." Kairo replied softly.
"No time!" Chirashi shouted as she smacked him off the roof. Causing him to fall to the street below.
As he crash lands, he quickly pushes himself up. He looks up at her and waves his fist.
"You could've killed me!" Kairo shouts.
"Trust me, you've experienced things far worse than that." Chirashi smugly remarks as she stands proud with her hands on her hips.
Kairo was thinking to himself as his body barely felt anything from the fall.
"Huh... Maybe I have gotten a bit stronger." Kairo thought to himself before he looked up with a smirk and dashed off towards Kentaro's location.
