Chapter 26 - Disciple Cultivation System ch26 School days pt3.

"Seeing the students spar makes me itch for a fight of my own."

Having be assessing the students for so long, Grim grabbing her right wrist tightly remarked, her eyes draw to Art.

He flinch understating her intention of wanting to fight him but excalty because of that he didn't respond. He didn't mind facing a student or two but a professor;that was way out of his league.

"Just a light spar."

Squatting beside him, she pleaded cutely.

The contrast between her cute demeanor and gloomy face was uncanny but Art couldn't refute, not ever since he got a prompt from the system that Grim had grown suspicious of him.

He wasn't sure what he did and he was confident he hadn't messed up in any form of way to earn her distrust but this was a veteran assassin he was dealing with. Someone whom had lived and been moulded by negativity for decades.

Distrust, paranoia and so much negativity was part of her character so he couldn't blame her.

Judging her her persistence, this spar she wanted was a way for her to gauge his full strength so in a situation, he were to go rogue she will develop effective countermeasures to handle him.

"What a paranoid freak." Art thought.

It wasn't that he was any different thou. Even as he condemn Grim a little bit in his heart, he too had a set of countermeasures for her. Ofcourse they would only prove to be effect if it came to a situation he where he had to eliminate her, which he didn't think would came to pass.

"Her core rank should be three ranks superior than my. Even in a light spar I'll will undoubtedly be far weak but luckily I have the system."

Glancing around for a weapon, he rose and approached the nearest student with a sword, snatching it from them and thrusting it foward, it's tip raised at Grim.

"A spar, what a lovely idea."

With a cold smile that hid his thoughts his remark echoing through the fields caused all attention to be focused on him.

"Did instructor Art just say a spar."

News began to travel fast as the student on the field began to whisper to themselves.

"A newbie Instructor against a veteran."

"I heard his just a three star."

"Woah and with such arrogance."

"His probably a noble whom used his connection to get a job here."

"That makes sense now way the academy would hire an instructor that weak."

Trish hearing all the slander going on about her precious teacher, crossed her arms, her expression cold while trying to hiding the urge to rip apart their faces.

Could the not see he was hiding his strength, where they blinded by their egoes they couldn't accept her master was undoubtedly a prodigy of his own league.

"Tsk...what is the value of jewels in the eyes of pigs."

Pinching her arms to keep her boiling anger in check she ignored their slander, her eyes wandering of to Professor Grim whom stood up,pulled down the zip of the truck jacket for her comfort before rising her hands to stretch.

"Please students can you evacuate the fields."

Her tone laced with kindness betrayed the vicious expression on her face as the class quickly fled outside the school fields eager to observe the match. Looking at how bloodthirsty her expression was,Art finally understood why he didn't feel uncomfortable around her. It wasn't just her presence but her swift switch to that of a killer denoted hints of madness sometimes that's couldn't be hidden even when she donned that awkward mask of hers.

Even if she now killed people less now, the habit of killing for decades wouldn't just magically disappear. It was engraved into her personality and that tiny spark of madness one's trigger would lead to unmentionable tragedies.

For a moment Art had a premonition, he saw Grim's figure overlap with that of a worn out bloody woman standing atone a mountain of corpse. He was confused but he soon realized this was a memory of Grim's fate. "How ironic her name was quite fitting" He thought passing her two daggers carved of wood as he tried shaking of the memory that wouldn't come to fruitation.

"Here."

Catching both, Grim looked at him blanky her expression somewhat unreadable.

"I didn't want our famous assassin after losing to me to make the excuse she was unarmed. So I permit the use of aura and you...a weapon."

With her neck now bent to an unnatural angle, her blue eyes lost their light and she disappeared shattering the ground underneath her as she reappeared infornt of Art, pouncing on him with the dagger in her right hand thrust foward at his head.

"Shit... she's fast."

Having long activated[Snow dance] to improve his combat abilities, he infused aura into his brain, speeding up his thoughts and perception.

For moment the world came to a halt, the cheers and noises growing distance and his eyes now bloodshot observing Grim whom even in this slow monochrome world didn't lose speed.

"As expected of a six star."

Thinking so, he sidestepped the stab, his eyes widening in horror as Grim tracing his gaze dashed passed him having missed.

At the sheer speed she was moving, her body was propelled foward with a speed far surpressing a sound,at such speed forget navigation—death would be what one will experience but Grim wasn't any normal human being.

She was a superhuman, an evolved human having stepped into the threshold of transcendence, a level below experiencing what is now know as divinity.

In the state she was in, even the speed of light wasn't an unattainable dream. So as she her body was propelled foward having long passed Art, she broke through the forces restraining her, performing an impossible twist midair to face Art, then stabbing the wooden dagger infused by her aura into the ground, completely killed her momentum using the ground.

The sudden paused would have caused her body still in midair to drop to the ground and since she needed a stable footing before she could pounce on him one's more, Art fueled by blinding determination bridge the gap between them then, followed by positioning his right foot underneath Grim, lifting his soles of the ground, it was accompanied by a tremendous force, that shook the ground.

As the kick landed, the air compressed to the limit exploded into a powerful shockwave that spread throughout the surrounding as Grim's body arched inwards, the kick then propelling her upwards like a ball.

The ace of such magnificent kick, Art.
