Kiera entered the empty elevator and clicked the button for the sixth floor. Her mind was still thinking about what sort of relationship Iruca had with Liam. The familiarity in her tone when she called out to him was even more alarming.
'Could she be a threat to my position? I have to find out what is between them. My secrets can't be exposed!'
Ding!
The elevator opened, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Let's leave that for now..." She muttered softly as she made her way to her own room.
She unlocked the door with her keys and entered the surprisingly messy room.
Her face twisted into a grimace as she angrily kicked an empty canned drink.
'Never ever am I holding a party in my room again!'
She clicked her tongue as she undressed in her bedroom.
Her white hair, red eyes and sexy build were something she was always proud of. However, beneath that pride was a great amount of insecurity.
After all, it was something that happened in her middle school. Something that left her scarred till today and forever.

Dressed in loose pajamas, Kiera collapsed onto her bed and slipped on the VR Launcher.

Immediately, she felt a wave of drowsiness wash over her and she lost consciousness.

Her body reappeared in the same spot as she had logged out, 15 hours ago.
Looking around, she realized that it was still relatively safe. She was in a construction that seemed like a ball with a small opening at the top.
'Since we can gain points from killing the beasts here, I think it's advisable to always be on the hunt.'
She thought as she climbed out of her hiding spot.
'I didn't meet anything too strong the last time. I hope I'm still lucky.'
She smiled as she jumped down— landing perfectly while a brown leather armor materialized on her body while black metallic gauntlets coated her hands.

Suddenly, her hair stood on end as a chilling sensation gripped her body— stifling her movements.
Turning to her back, she saw something that defied all her knowledge.
'I guess I'm not so lucky.'
A creature like a maggot was standing behind her, its massive body towered above her as its shadow enveloped her completely.
On its head, several eyes attached to what seemed like a stalk squirmed grotesquely while a single large eye on its head stared at her intensely.
SKREEAWWW!
Beneath the large eye, a terrifying maw opened up and released a terrifying scream that made everything living in a hundred meters around it freeze. Although it was a powerful creature, it didn't have strong attacking abilities and only froze its prey for some time before swallowing them whole.
Kiera's eyes widened in horror when she realized she couldn't move her body. It was perfectly stuck in place as the creature opened its mouth in preparation to swallow her.
Whoosh!
Before the maw could even get close to her, something gripped her waist tightly— then the world blurred.
At first, she couldn't understand what was happening, but soon she realized that her savior—whatever it was, was simply moving at a speed too fast for her to follow. Soon she realized that her body could be moved and naturally wrapped her legs around it.
Tremble!
The body carrying her trembled softly, making her realize this was a very intimate position. If it was a guy that rescued her, then he had to be suffering from her flaw.
After a while, the wind blowing harshly against her ceased— prompting her to slowly open her eyes. Her red eyes met with those black eyes that seemed too deep and unfathomable.
'Kaiser?!'
Her body shook slightly from shock when she realized the person who had saved her was someone she formerly hated. Her breath got caught in her throat while she was unable to look away from his eyes.
"Do girls enjoy clinging to other boys when they've already got a boyfriend?"
'W—what?'
His question stunned her and she hastily disentangled herself from him. Her face turned beet red as she tried her best to think of a good reply.
"I-i don't know."
Kaiser raised a brow in surprise before shaking his head in disbelief.
'How perverted!' He thought.
Looking at her for a moment, he turned away before speaking.
"Wait here. I have some... unfinished business to attend to."
With that, he blurred— disappearing into the darkness of the realm.
"Aishh! So embarrassing!"
Kiera shook her head in embarrassment as a deep blush formed on her cheeks.
'Who goes around asking such strange questions?'
Suddenly, she paused.
'Wait— don't tell me he's going back to that beast?'

"Missed me?"
Kaiser asked as he stared at the hulking beast before him. The maggot-like creature turned all its eyes towards him and screeched violently.
"Awwn, I missed you too." He purred in reply as two shiny daggers materialized in his hands.
"Let's talk."
The roof he was standing on exploded into shards as he launched himself forward and towards the beast.
The beast emitted a pulse, similar to Liam's power shot towards him— aiming to freeze him in place.
"This power of yours is insidious. Very much useful."
He said as he came in contact with the power.
"However, it is totally useless against people who cultivate and protect their soul."
Slice!
His daggers cut off six eyes as the beast sharply recoiled, hissing in pain.
"Although you seem like a ranged fighter, I'd say you have a very powerful means of fighting at close range. Right?"
The beast's terrifying maw opened as it spat a huge amount of acidic substance at him.
"Magnificent. Attacking me mid-air— such an amazing intelligence."
Kaiser laughed as he stepped on empty air, a ripple appearing under his foot as space solidified for a moment. Using this as a platform, he changed his trajectory and dodged the attack.
'That was quite taxing, given my body is still too weak to handle the stress of manipulating space.'
"Well, that only makes it more interesting doesn't it?"
