Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Power Unleashed nombre

The containment room had become a battlefield. Tetsuo's psychic energy raged like a storm,

illuminating the space with flashes of white light. Kaneda watched in awe as his friend, who

had been trapped and vulnerable, now emanated a force that defied all logic. The guards,

surprised by the burst of power, fell back, stunned by the energy that seemed to surge from

Tetsuo himself.

"Tetsuo, do it!" Kaneda shouted, feeling a mixture of admiration and concern. He knew this

power was dangerous, both for his enemies and for his friend. The struggle raging inside

Tetsuo was palpable, and Kaneda could see that his friend was struggling to maintain control.

As the guards tried to regroup, Tetsuo raised his hand, and a wave of energy expanded from

him, pushing the armed men against the walls. The force was overwhelming, and Kaneda felt

the air vibrate around him. It was as if Tetsuo himself were at the center of a hurricane, and

Kaneda realized his friend had crossed a line beyond which there was no turning back.

"Don't get carried away, Tetsuo!" Kaneda shouted, trying to make his friend remember who he

really was. "You're stronger than this! Remember who we are!"

Tetsuo closed his eyes, his face contorted by the internal struggle. Images of his childhood, of

the days when he ran free with Kaneda and the others, began to flood his mind. He

remembered the moments of camaraderie, the laughter and joy, and amid the storm of

power, he found an anchor in those memories. "Kaneda!" he shouted, his voice resonating

with a mixture of desperation and determination.

In that instant, the energy surrounding him stabilized. Tetsuo opened his eyes, and a spark of

clarity filled them. "I can't let this control me!" he exclaimed, and with a wave of his hand, the

energy dissipated, leaving the stunned guards on the ground.

Kaneda felt a moment of relief to see that his friend had regained some of his control. "That's

it, Tetsuo! You're stronger than this!" he said, approaching him. "Now, let's get out of here

before more reinforcements arrive."

Tetsuo nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yes, but we have to be quick. I don't know how long I

can keep this under control." With those words, they headed for the exit, but when they

opened the door, they found more guards arriving.

"Stop!" the guards shouted, raising their weapons. Kaneda and Tetsuo exchanged glances,

knowing there was no time to hesitate. Without thinking, Tetsuo raised his hand again, and a

wave of energy erupted from him, throwing the guards against the walls of the hallway.

Kaneda was overwhelmed by his friend's strength. "Amazing, Tetsuo! Now let's keep going!"

they shouted as they ran down the hallway. However, as they moved forward, the echoes of

the alarm rang in the air, and Kaneda knew time was running out.

Reaching an emergency staircase, Kaneda pushed Tetsuo forward. "Come on, quickly!" But

before they could descend, a group of guards appeared at the bottom, blocking their way.

Kaneda felt adrenaline rush through him again. "We can't stay here!"

Tetsuo, still struggling to maintain control of his power, looked at Kaneda. "What do we do?"

he asked, his voice strained. Kaneda thought quickly. "You distract the guards. I'll look for a

way out on the side."

"Are you crazy? I can't do that alone!" Tetsuo protested, but Kaneda looked at him

determinedly. "Trust me. Just do it. You're stronger than you think!"

Tetsuo nodded, feeling his friend's confidence flow toward him. "All right, I'll do it." With a

shout of defiance, he raised his hands, and a blast of energy was unleashed, sending the

guards reeling. Meanwhile, Kaneda slid along the side, looking for a way to flank the guards.

Tetsuo's energy lit up the hallway, and Kaneda could see his friend struggling with the intensity

of his power. As the guards recovered, Kaneda moved quickly, searching for any exit that might

lead them to freedom. Eventually, he found an emergency door that led to a backyard.

"Over here!" Kaneda shouted, opening the door and pointing at Tetsuo. "Come!" Tetsuo, still

focused on holding off the guards, moved toward him, but before he could leave, a guard

managed to recover and pointed his gun at him.

"Stop! Don't move!" the guard shouted, but Tetsuo, in a protective impulse, raised his hand

and, with a burst of energy, threw the guard against the wall. The sound of the impact echoed

in the air, and Kaneda felt a mixture of fear and admiration for his friend's strength.

"Come on, Tetsuo!" Kaneda shouted, and they both burst through the door, running toward

freedom. The cool night air hit them, and for a moment, they felt alive, as if they had escaped

a dark fate.

However, freedom was short-lived. Looking back, they saw more guards emerging from the

building, armed and determined to catch them. "We have to find a motorcycle!" Kaneda said,

looking around. "Quick!"

As they ran, Tetsuo felt his power begin to fade. The adrenaline that had fueled him was

waning, and fatigue was beginning to set in. "I can't… I can't keep this up for much longer," he

said, his voice choked.

"Just a little bit more! Don't give up!" Kaneda replied, feeling the pressure building. Finally,

they spotted a pair of motorcycles parked near a dumpster. "There!" Kaneda shouted, and

they both launched themselves at the bikes.

Wasting no time, Kaneda started his bike and threw the keys to Tetsuo. "Here! Quickly!"

Tetsuo, still stumbling, managed to start the bike and, with an effort, got it going. Kaneda

jumped on his own bike and accelerated, feeling the adrenaline returning.

"Keep up with me!" Kaneda shouted as they both charged onto the road. The guards began

firing, but bullets whizzed around them as they sped away. The feeling of freedom was

overwhelming, but Kaneda knew they weren't out of danger.

"Speed up, Tetsuo! Don't look back!" he shouted, feeling excitement and fear intertwine in his

chest. As they raced through the streets of Neo-Tokyo, Kaneda realized his friend had crossed

a line that would change them forever. The battle had barely begun, and they both knew they

would have to face the consequences of what had happened that night.
