Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2 : Transmigrated

Chapter Two

Seeing them on the bed, she could not control her emotions. Letting her anger take over without hesitation, she stormed over, grabbed him—her supposed boyfriend—by the arm, and yanked him upright. Her hours at the gym had clearly paid off, as he was not a challenge.

Pak!

The sound echoed through the room, and everything went still for a moment. Both of them stared at her, wide-eyed, shocked. They had never expected Rein to be the violent type. She had always been meek and caring toward them. Seeing their stunned expressions gave Rein a bitter mix of satisfaction and heartbreak.

For a few seconds, silence wrapped around the room as they tried to absorb what had just happened. Then, snapping out of their daze, her boyfriend scrambled to find something to cover himself, stammering out useless excuses.

"What else do you have to say? I trusted you, and you broke that trust," Rein hissed, her face red with anger.

She took a step closer and shoved him aside in disgust, turning to face her stepsister, who stood frozen beside him.

"And you. How could you do this to me?"

Her icy glare sent a visible shiver down the girl's spine.

"Ehm…" she stuttered, too afraid to speak.

"Even though we are not blood-related, I treated you like family. I pampered you like a sister. Why would you do this to me?" Rein's voice cracked, her eyes now bloodshot.

Rein had only been sixteen when her mother died. Just two months later, her father brought in his mistress and her fourteen-year-old daughter, introducing them as her new mother and sister. Rein was deeply disappointed, but she could not bring herself to resent the girl, who had seemed innocent.

But now…

"Rein, wait—let me explain," her boyfriend begged.

"Explain? So you can feed me more lies?" she snapped. "You two can keep having your damn affair." She turned back to her sister, narrowing her eyes. "You do realise the same way he cheats on me, he will cheat on you—probably in the blink of an eye." She snapped her fingers sharply.

Rein was not stupid or so love-struck that she would give him a second chance. Without another word, she turned and walked out, the door slamming hard behind her.

Without waiting, she climbed into her packed car in the garage, started the engine, and sped off. The sweet memories she once cherished with her boyfriend were now stained by what she had just witnessed. Her head throbbed as her heart sank.

The image of them together played repeatedly in her mind like a cursed film. Blinded by anger and emotion, she was too late to notice the truck speeding down the road in her direction, police sirens wailing behind it.

"AHHHHHHH!"

The impact was immediate. Painful screams echoed. Rein could do nothing. Her mind had been too clouded. Her car skidded and flipped violently across the road.

Pain exploded through her body. Blood trickled slowly from her forehead before dripping down her cheek. Lying there, barely conscious, those same stained memories swirled through her thoughts.

Why? she cried out in anguish, regret flooding her. Her best friend's warning echoed loudly in her mind. She was right.

Tears streamed from her eyes.

Then came laughter—cold, echoing, cruel.

Before she could process it, her vision blurred, and everything spun wildly. The world around her became a dizzying haze.

Then came the voice—familiar, yet chilling.

"You are mine to play with. A breeder to sire my child."

That voice again? It echoed in her head like a haunting whisper from beyond.

She felt herself floating… drifting into darkness.

"I don't want to die…" she whispered, paralysed.

But everything went black.

And there was silence.

---

Then… light.

Rein blinked, trying to make sense of what had happened. Was everything just a dream? she wondered.

She had caught her boyfriend cheating with her sister. Then, the accident… death, even? She had thought she was going to slip into nothingness. Blinking again, she tried to adapt to her surroundings. But the more she saw, the more her head ached with confusion.

She was no longer in the car.

She was now in a room that looked eerily familiar—a place she had seen before, in her dream. It looked like one of those old-fashioned bridal chambers from the Abo comics she sometimes read during her free time.

The space glowed softly under the red lanterns, their beautiful patterns casting shadows across the walls. Thick red curtains surrounded the grand wooden bed, leaving only the front slightly open. The air was heavy with the scent of incense burning slowly nearby. She could even see roses scattered across the bed.

She sat up slowly, groaning from the ache in her body, and looked down.

"The f***"

She gasped at what she saw. She was dressed in red lingerie made of delicate crimson lace that hugged her figure tightly, leaving little to the imagination. Thin straps rested on her shoulders. The neckline dipped low, emphasizing her upper torso. It was seductive, revealing… and entirely unfamiliar.

Rein was never one to sit still and wait for answers. Her eyes darted to the door. Determined to leave, she pushed herself off the bed, ignoring the pain shooting through her limbs.

But then—she froze.

Her reflection in the mirror caught her off guard.

"What is going on?" she whispered.

She looked different—almost unrecognisable. Her once soft and gentle features were now striking and sharp, magnetic in a way that drew attention. Her honey-colored hair was now a fiery red, with streaks of pale pink. Her skin looked more radiant, her presence more alluring.

"This... this is not me," Rein whispered, her heart pounding wildly in her chest.

She was in an unknown place, and to make it worse, her appearance had completely changed.

What bad thing could possibly happen again?

Before she could even think, voices drifted in from outside the room.

"Is she the one? The one who can bear an heir for me?" a voice asked—firm, unfamiliar, and laced with authority.
