A sense of danger dawned on Diana instantly. Every instinct screamed to leave the place entirely.
She shoved away from him and breathed heavily, eyes stuck on him. "You're out of your mind."
She turned to get away but Stefan's men with the room stepped in her path, blocking her.
She glared at them. "What do you think you're doing? Get out of my way!"
None of them answered. They didn't even make eye contact with her.
A sigh sounded behind her and she snapped her head around.
Stefanos stood there, casually adjusting the cuffs of his shirt, a smirk playing on his lips.
"You're very amusing, Diana, do you know that?" he said, voice dripping with mockery as he started toward her.
"You thought my family was this simple? That we play fair, or something? Well, that would be stupid of you. I mean, do you know why your father is such a loyal dog to us?"
He snatched her by the arm.
"That's because it could cost him everything if he rebelled. Him…and you."
