"Go straight to the company."
Max, after putting Tess in her car and watching her go, comes to his car in the parking lot and gets in it before asking the driver to drive off to his almost bankrupt company.
"Yes master."
The driver just coldly nodded as she started the car and drove off, putting up the privacy glass in the middle to give him a private space.
'System open the store.'
Max, seated on the comfortable back seat, loosened up the tie around his neck as he ordered the system to open the store. He was not in a state to care about anything else; his first line of business was to fix his small problem, pun intended.
[Ding! System store is opening…..]
As his voice fell, a cold, almost unfeeling voice rang in his mind before row after row of sections, and below that, there was nearly infinite stuff pop-up in front of him.
He tried to look through it all but gave up the idea right away as there was no way he could go through just one section row in his lifetime, not to mention there were thousands of them.
Still, he gave a cursory glance, which almost gave him a heart attack.
There was everything, I mean everything, in the system store, from simple daily necessity stuff like toothbrushes to stuff like legendary techniques, physique, and artifacts. Skills and many more.
And this stuff was just basic, just early front things as most of the good stuff is down below, in the infinite row of columns.
'...'
Max was speechless. He heard of the system being strong, but he didn't know it would be this strong.
The dreadful feeling of being targeted by the protagonist also decreases a lot as they now have the confidence to actually be able to defend against the illegitimate son of the heavens.
'I can't afford these things yet.'
Max looked through the stuff with excitement in his eyes but when he saw the price next to it, that light dimmed down a little.
Though many things he can still buy it like superpowers but they all are just A-level and lower stuff.
A-rank in itself is quite a rare and good rank but given he was going against the protagonist, these things are useless to him.
'Need to earn CP as soon as possible.'
Max drops the idea of buying an A-rank superpower for the 10,000 CP; He would rather save it to buy something else later.
Then, he just started surfing through the rows up for a while looking through them; after a while, his moment halted as his eyes fell onto the row labeled system add-on.
'I do have a free add-on coupon, Let's see if there is something useful.'
Max remembered he did have a system coupon, so he just clicked it and expanded to view the stuff in it.
This time there was not infinite stuff like before but there were still millions of things present for sale.
'Please help me filter through the best add-ons.'
Max was overwhelmed by the choice, So he just asked the system to help him with it.
[Ding! The recommended add-ons are like the following….
•Offline Cultivation: With this add-on, the host would be practicing each and every skill learned by the host passively; even the cultivation would be done at your full speed 24×7.
•Training Addict : This would create the Sub-space for the host to train and learn new things taught by the system instructor, Time in this chamber moves in 1:3600 ratio.
(Note : Host time is relative to the real world, the foods, drinks and medical services are taken care of by the system.)
(Note : Only the host can enter the Sub-Space and can only leave either by completely mastering the thing taught by the instructor or spending one year in the Sub-Space (2.4 hours real-world time.)
•Death Monger : The stronger and luckier the opponent host kills the bigger and better rewards would be earned.
(Note : The host had to do 60% damage to the target and land a killing blow to be rewarded.)
•Love Guru : Get the love of as many people as possible; the more beautiful and stronger the person is, the stronger and more reward be given.
•Netori Master : Stealing anything, like money, subordinates, and opportunities, but mostly women from the people of would be rewarded each time.
(Note : The stronger the luck and power of the person the more exciting rewards would be distributed.)
(Note : Keep in mind that the name of it is Netori).]
The system followed his command and put forward the 5 options of the bunch, saying this was the best thing he could choose in his current situation.
'.....All of these are great, But what should I choose?'
Max looked at the options presented by the system and fell into contemplating the choices.
The first option is quite tempting; after all, for someone as lazy as him, this is best; he didn't have to do anything; he gained strength just by doing nothing.
However, he had to drop its idea as it's indeed good, but the speed of it depends on him, aka talent.
It is pretty much useless; after all, he has mediocre talent, and his forte is in the business, so it did not matter if he was practicing 24×7; anyone with the slightest talent would surpass him in no time.
He may gain talent, and increase his talent, but that's in the future; he is in immediate need of a power boost.
The 2nd option is also the same. Yeah, he can spend years in it, and here, only a few hours would be passed, but this is also not good for the same reason.
He is a talentless guy, even if he spends years in it, wasting a day or two of real life; he is just risking everything for pretty much nothing.
Not only would he be leaving the protagonist unmonitored but he also is not getting anything equivalent to the risk.
3rd is actually the best option if not for the requirement that he needed to do 60% damage to the target cause he currently can just dodge around without any firepower to fight back.
4th is also great; he is a rich, handsome guy; it is not hard to earn the love of thousands of girls, getting quite a lot of low grades, but it still rewarding.
'Buy the Netori Master add-on.'
(A/N : There would be one more update.
Like always thank you for reading and have a good day 😁.)
