Instant Body Technique does not refer to a specific ninjutsu. Rather, any technique that enables rapid movement can be classified under it.
Typically, it involves a sudden burst of chakra within the body to move at high speeds. For example, when Zabuza released his Hidden Mist and then moved swiftly through it to approach Kakashi, that was considered Mist-Style Instant Body Technique.
The Third and Fourth Raikage use Lightning Release to cover their bodies and accelerate—this is called Lightning Instant Body Technique. Similarly, the Second and Fourth Hokage's Flying Thunder God Technique also falls under this broad category.
Among them, the most renowned is Uchiha Shisui's unique illusion-based technique, paired with his Sharingan, earning him the title "Shisui of the Body Flicker."
What Carl used was the most basic form: an instant burst of chakra to accelerate movement. It's a technique accessible to most ninjas with strong chakra control.
"Alright, that's all for today. Class dismissed!"
Ten minutes later, Dr. Stern checked his watch, wrapped up his lecture on cellular biology, and began gathering his materials to return to his lab.
At the same time, Carl rose from his seat at the back of the classroom and made his way toward the exit.
But he hadn't walked far before a blonde female college student with stylish clothes and striking features stepped into his path.
"Hey there, I'm Lila. Which department are you from? I don't think I've seen you around before."
Just moments earlier, while the class was ending, she'd noticed the strikingly handsome man seated in the back row. Despite his Asian descent, Carl's sharp facial features and athletic build, paired with the high-end clothing he wore, gave him the regal bearing of a runaway noble.
In that instant, she made a decision—to dump her current boyfriend, the football team captain, and pursue this mystery man.( a slut spotted)
"I'm not a student here. Just visiting on business."
Carl shook her extended hand politely, then walked past her without hesitation.
He was well aware that women in this country tended to be more direct. For him, returning a handshake was already considered courteous.
"That's fine. I'm throwing a party at my place tonight. Want to come?"
Learning that Carl wasn't a student didn't dissuade Lila in the least. If anything, it intrigued her more. Someone like him would turn heads anywhere, not just on campus.
Carl paused and gave her a courteous smile.
"Sorry. I already promised my wife we'd visit Chinatown tonight."
"Wait, you're married?"
Lila's eyes widened in disbelief. He didn't look much older than her, yet he was already taken? A wave of disappointment washed over her face.
"Well... I wish you the best, then!"
She truly couldn't fathom how such an exceptional man was already off the market.
"Thank you."
With a nod, Carl turned and continued in the direction Dr. Stern had gone.
But just as he reached the doorway, he was interrupted again—this time by a muscular male student, clearly not looking to flirt.
"Hey, you yellow monkey. I don't care which department you're from—stay away from Lila. She's out of your league. Mess with her again, and I'll rearrange your spine."
Thud!
Before the student could blink, Carl landed a solid kick in his stomach. The big guy collapsed, groaning and clutching his midsection in agony.
"You are in the way."
With that cold remark, Carl didn't even glance at the college student he had just dropped. He walked out of the classroom in a few quick strides and caught up to Dr. Stern just ahead.
"Excuse me, are you Dr. Samuel Stern?"
"And you are…?"
Dr. Stern turned around, eyeing Carl curiously. At first glance, he assumed Carl was another student, but his attire and presence said otherwise.
Carl reached into his pocket and handed over a sleek business card.
"I'm Carl Hudson, chairman of the Hudson Group. I'd like to speak with you about something important. Are you free now, Doctor?"
"Hudson Group… Ah, yes! You're the ones behind the tri-color pill—what do you call it—the Power Pill, Military Ration Pill, and the Spiritual Pill. Truly an impressive invention. I've actually analyzed it myself. It contains…"
Dr. Stern's eyes lit up with interest as he read the card, his excitement quickly carrying him into a stream of technical jargon about the pills' biochemical structure.
It took a moment before he realized he was rambling and stopped, a bit embarrassed.
"Ah—apologies, I got carried away. Let's head to my lab. It's a better place to talk."
"No worries at all," Carl said with a smile. "I admire your passion for bioscience. Lead the way."
Carl was pleased—his Hudson Group needed someone just like Stern: a sharp, capable biologist with drive.
While schools like NYU and Columbia topped the charts, Greyburn College was a second-tier institution in New York, if not the world. Having a private lab here was a rare privilege for any professor.
Once they entered the modest but tidy laboratory, Stern brewed a fresh cup of coffee for Carl and motioned for him to sit.
"So, Mr. Hudson," Stern began, now composed, "what can I help you with?"
Carl didn't waste time.
"Dr. Stern, I'll be frank. I've read many of your published papers, and I agree with several of your theories. I believe that someone of your talent is wasted as a professor in this kind of university. I'd like to invite you to join Hudson Group. Your salary would be ten times what you earn now."
Stern blinked, taken aback.
"This is… sudden. I'll need time to consider it."
He was caught off guard by Carl's bold proposal. The idea of leaving behind a teaching position he'd held for over a decade to join a private company was not something he'd anticipated.
To be honest, it wasn't the promise of a bigger paycheck that made him hesitate—it was Carl's sincere recognition of his talent.
That… touched something deeper.
Stern had always believed he was just as capable as the world's top biologists. But because he lacked major results or wealthy backing, his theories had remained on paper. Capitalists rarely invested in ideas—they wanted tangible results and profit.
Coming from a modest background, Stern had always struggled to bring his theories to life without funding. The lab at Greyburn was the only reason he'd made what little progress he had.
That's why Carl's offer struck a chord.
Still, Stern wasn't ready to join someone else's company. Ideally, he hoped Carl would fund his experiments, not employ him.
