Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 : Marriage and Grief

After Art took Julia home, he encountered someone he knew, someone who had once been with him during the art competition — Angela. They accidentally crossed paths on a street near a café. Art stopped his car and greeted Angela.

"Hi Angela, how are you? Where are you going? Why are you here in the city? Weren't you supposed to have returned to Canada?" Art asked curiously.

"Oh, Art, it's so nice to see you again, I missed you after such a long time apart," Angela replied warmly.

"I came here with my uncle for business matters. We'll be staying in Venice for a few days, and I happened to want to shop for a few things, so I passed by this street!" said Angela.

"Oh, alright then. Would you like me to give you a ride?" Art offered.

"Sure, that would be nice, Art!" Angela replied, immediately getting into the car.

"What are you planning to buy, Julia?" Art asked a bit awkwardly.

"I want to buy some groceries for our supplies at the hotel, and also get some painting supplies, because I now have a new gallery here in the city!" Angela answered.

"Alright, I'll take you to the nearest store!" Art responded.

When they arrived at the nearest store, Art walked with Angela, helping her shop for the items she needed. As they walked, Art shared with Angela the news about his upcoming wedding with Julia in a few days.

Angela was shocked upon hearing the news, and though she felt jealous, she continued her shopping.

"Oh, I'm so happy for you, Art, that you're getting married," Angela said, trying to smile. "But unfortunately, I won't be able to attend your wedding!"

"Why not, Angela?" Art asked.

"I'm currently busy managing my art gallery and assisting my uncle with his mining business," Angela replied casually.

"Alright then, if you can't come to the wedding, maybe we'll meet again some other time!" said Art.

Carrying Angela's shopping bags, Art then took Angela back to her hotel.

Once at the hotel, Angela felt very sad knowing that Art would soon be married, even though she had strong feelings for him and had hoped to be by his side.

Angela then went to her gallery and began painting for an exhibition scheduled for that evening.

Back at home, Art looked again at a photo of Angela in his room — a photo from the time they competed together at the Venice Art Center. Memories flooded back, remembering their first meeting — such a romantic and story-filled time...

However, Art could not turn away from Julia, because she was now his destined bride, arranged by both their parents, and supported by their friends as well.

Art could only keep those memories with Angela in his heart, hoping she would understand his situation. It had been a long time since they last met, and Julia had since filled his days, helping him with his missions and duties.

A few days later, Guru and Mother were busy decorating their house, preparing for the wedding ceremony of Art and Julia. Julia's parents and some of her relatives were already at Art's house.

Art and his friends went around delivering their wedding invitations to people around their neighborhood and continued toward the city center of Venice.

The wedding was scheduled to begin at 4 PM.

After finishing the decorations and delivering the invitations, the ceremony began, attended by many guests. Art and Julia were blessed by a priest, promising to stay faithful and to journey through life together.

Art placed a diamond ring and a gold necklace on Julia, then kissed her. They were now officially blessed by the priest and their parents.

Unexpectedly, Angela also attended the wedding and offered her congratulations to Art and Julia.

"Wow, congratulations, Art! You've found your true love!" said Angela.

"Yes, thank you so much, Angela, for coming to our wedding. We really appreciate your presence!" said Art and Julia.

Other guests also lined up to give their blessings and congratulations to the newlyweds. After that, everyone enjoyed the feast and drinks together, accompanied by Guru who played the piano.

Everyone enjoyed the music and the festive atmosphere, filled with joy and romance.

Tommy and Avicii didn't miss the chance to take photos with the bride and groom, along with the other guests.

After the wedding celebration ended, the guests bid farewell and returned to their homes, along with Art's friends.

"Alright then, we will head home now!" said the guests.

"Thank you so much for coming!" replied Art and Julia.

Now, Julia officially lived with Art in his house, and they were happily married.

Their first night together was filled with joy and happiness, and the house now truly belonged to both of them.

The next morning, Guru rushed off to the artist's store, while Mother prepared meals in the kitchen, assisted by Julia.

Art also went to the store with Guru, driving his favorite car.

In the car, Guru advised Art to renovate the artist's store, as it had become old and worn.

"Alright, Guru, I will renovate the store and rebuild it with a new artistic style, so it can compete with other artist stores and galleries!" Art promised.

Upon arriving at the store, Art helped Guru clean the instruments and other items. Guru also brought out the old musical instruments that had been kept for a long time — including a piano, violin, guitar, and a special magical flute.

"Art, I hope you can take good care of these instruments, and not misuse them!" Guru requested.

"Of course, Guru, I will gladly take care of them and use them solely for art and entertainment purposes!" Art promised.

"Not only that, Art, these instruments hold history and a certain energy. If you play them properly, they can influence people's minds and help you in times of need!" Guru explained clearly.

As Guru was about to retrieve some painting supplies, suddenly his chest tightened, and he began to have difficulty breathing.

"Guru! Guru! What's happening?!" shouted Art, seeing Guru collapse.

Art quickly rushed Guru to the hospital, driving in a panic and almost crashing into other cars.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Guru was immediately taken to the emergency room and treated by the doctors.

Art called Julia and Mother to inform them about Guru's condition.

Julia and Mother quickly arrived at the hospital, seeing Guru already in a critical state.

After a few minutes of treatment in the emergency room...

The doctor came out with the sad news that Guru could no longer be saved, as his cancer had advanced too far.

"We've done everything we could, but in the end, God had other plans. We hope you can find peace in letting him go," said the doctor.

Art, Julia, and Mother wept for the loss of Guru, who had already warned them that he didn't have much time left.

Afterward, Guru was buried, and many people attended his funeral. Art and Julia prepared a flower wreath and played the violin with deep emotion.

As Guru had shared during his life, many mourners laid flowers at the famous artist's grave.

"Guru, forgive us if we ever wronged you. May you find peace in Nirvana and bless those of us who remain in this world. Please tell the angels and God to always protect us!" said Art, deeply emotional while playing the violin.

Meanwhile, Rojan, from afar, witnessed the scene behind his dark sunglasses. Smiling slightly, he turned away from the crowd. Rojan, Polo, and Delvi then got into a black car and drove away.

After the mourning ended, Art, Julia, and the others got into the car.

During the journey, Art and Julia sat in silence, lost in thought. Suddenly, the blue diamond ring that Art wore shone brightly, and an angel appeared in the back seat of the car.

"Hi Art, I'm sorry for your loss. I can see that Guru's soul is now at peace," said the angel from the back seat.

"Yes, angel, I must learn to accept the loss of my loved ones. I will always cherish the memories of Guru, who nurtured and taught me," replied Art.

"Angel, you must help us in this mission and protect us from Rojan and his companions!" Julia asked earnestly.

"Of course, Julia, as long as I am still on Earth, I will always protect you!" said the angel.
