The night was heavy and silent.
Under the cover of darkness, Yuri moved like a shadow.
Beside her, Ryu, her newly grown gigantic wolf, crept with silent paws, his fur blending into the darkness.
The camp, now twisted under Kang Seok's rule, stood ahead like a fortress.
Guards lazily patrolled the top, their minds dulled by victory. They had no idea danger lurked so close.
Yuri crouched behind an abandoned vehicle, heart pounding.
Then, with a soft whistle, she gave the signal.
Ryu knelt down, and Yuri climbed onto his back.
With a mighty leap, Ryu soared upward——landing them on the rooftop without a sound.
Yuri slipped off and pressed her back to the wall, heart thundering.
As she moved carefully, she caught movement ahead.Someone was crouched near the edge, a figure hiding in the darkness, holding a stolen knife.
Before she could retreat—
"—Yuri?!"
The voice whispered harshly.
The figure turned and the faint moonlight revealed Daehyun.
For a moment, both froze in shock.
He looked thinner. But his eyes still burned with determination.
"...You're safe, I'm glad." he breathed, eyes wide. "And that's... a wolf?"
Yuri nodded quickly. She kept her voice low and urgent. "I escaped before they took everyone. I was hiding... planning. Ryu helped me."
Daehyun stared at the giant wolf, still stunned. But seeing the determination on Yuri's face pulled him back to reality.
"I was about to do something stupid," he muttered. "I was planning to attack them by myself."
"You would've died," Yuri said bluntly. "I know , and I'm prepared .But now we can do it... together."
Daehyun looked down at the camp.
Guards patrolled lazily, confident. People they once called friends now slumped behind dark rooms like prisoners.
At the center of it all——Songwoo, silent and still like a chained lion, eyes burning with quiet rage.
Daehyun clenched his fists.
"...Alright," he whispered. "Let's save them."
Yuri smiled. And Ryu let out a low growl, as if agreeing.
The night was no longer silent. Hope stirred in the darkness.
"We can't just attack head-on," Daehyun said firmly, his voice low and serious.
"If they use the hostages... we lose."
Yuri nodded. She bit her lip, thinking.
Beside her, Ryu stood tall and alert. Somehow, over the past few days, the bond between them had deepened. Now, it was like Ryu could sense her emotions —— her fear, her determination, even her hope.
It was strange. And comforting.
Daehyun knelt and started sketching a rough plan into the dust with a stick.
"We need chaos. Enough chaos that they can't think straight," he said. "Enough to break their formation... and save the others."
Yuri leaned closer. "Chaos?"
He pointed toward the outskirts of the camp.
"If we can lure zombies here... but not in a way that looks suspicious...If it looks natural, they won't think someone planned it."
Daehyun looked at her.
"You're fast. You're small. You can outrun them. If you lead them close enough without getting caught, it might work."
Yuri's heart raced — excitement and fear mixed.
Ryu bite him for asking Yuri to put herself in danger.
"ouch..."
"It's fine Ryu.. I have to do this at least for my friends... This is something only i can do."
Daehyun see determination in her eyes.
She clenched her fists.
"I'll do it," she said without hesitation.
Ryu look at her, his eye fill with worries. Yuri smiled at him. "I won't be reckless," she whispered.
They moved through the shadows.
Yuri and Ryu headed toward the outer ruins, where zombies wandered aimlessly.
Meanwhile, Daehyun goes to the rooftop of another building which is tall as the camp, watching and waiting.
Yuri dashed through the broken streets, waving a piece of torn cloth soaked in blood she had scavenged earlier. The scent drifted in the air.
Meanwhile Ryu follow her from a far.
Zombies sniffed — turned — and began to follow.
Yuri's feet pounded the cracked cement floor.
Her chest burned. Her lungs screamed. But she didn't stop.
The slow but relentless tide of zombies chased her — growing in number every second.
She looped around the broken buildings, keeping her distance but close enough to lure them where she wanted.
Ryu followed from the shadows, growling lowly to distract the ones getting too close.
Yuri sprinted toward the camp. Before reaching there, before the guards noticing her, Ryu dashes in and grabs her. By then zombies got the smell of fresh blood and rushed towards the guards outside the camp.
The guards yawned lazily —they heard the growls.
Until they saw the shambling crowd.
"Zombies! They're coming!" someone screamed.
The guards rushed to defend — but there were too many. The rotten tide slammed into the thin defenses.
Gunfire cracked the air. It attract even more zombies.
Shouts and chaos exploded everywhere.
In the confusion, Yuri slipped in with Ryu. Ryu is not a normal wolf, he seems to be awakened or more like a mutated beast. So it easy for him to sneak in without anyone noticing. No normal people can't defeat him.
She darted toward the main building — the second floor where the prisoners were locked.
She moved like a shadow, avoiding fights, avoiding notice.
Upstairs, she pressed herself against the cold wall, panting.
Songwoo here the noise outside.
"What's happening. Did the camp attacked? is everyone ok."
His mind is filled with uneasy. Were worry about his friends.
on other side Yuri sneaking around, and causing more trouble to Kang seok.
She could hear Kang Seok's furious shouting below, trying to organize his thugs. He gather everyone on his side to fight the zombies.
" Damn.... Why now, everything was ok a moment ago."
" Hey bring Songwoo now, let him fight. " Seok shout in furious.
The plan was working.
But they are going to bring songoo. Yuri left Ryu in the hallway on the second floor.
"Listen buddy, you have to shut down everyone who were trying to come here, no matter what you do don't let them pass you."
Ryu: Nodded...
He guarded the hallway.
Now, she just had to find the others——and set them free.
