True Answers
The four entities Allay had called Sovereigns were all visibly shaken, intimidated by the energy radiating from Amos.
"Allay... don't tell me…"
Allay clenched his teeth, regret heavy in his voice.
"Yes, Master… he is the Heir of the Void."
The youngest Sovereign, both afraid and skeptical, finally spoke.
"But that's impossible. Vyran died during the war. He could never have passed on his element…"
As Amos approached them with his hands in his pockets, walking with a relaxed gait and Cloack silently following behind, he came to a stop when one of the Sovereigns—scarred and visibly offended—stood up abruptly.
"YOU! HOW DARE YOU WALK LIKE THAT WHILE OTHERS KNEEL!"
A chill ran through the room at his authoritative tone, but Amos simply looked him straight in the eyes, his gaze piercing deep into the Sovereign's soul.
"Are you talking to me?"
The Sovereign lowered his head, overwhelmed by the presence Amos emitted. That aura… it was one he knew. One that had haunted him all his life.
"How can someone so inferior be just as intimidating as Vyran…"
Allay, still kneeling, lifted his head.
"He could be a powerful ally, Master. Let's not make him an enemy."
Frustrated but conceding, the Sovereign sat back down on his throne.
"Stand. We need to begin the briefing, vessels."
Everyone slowly rose. Amos took a step forward, and Cloack smirked, clearly enjoying the pressure Amos was putting on the Sovereigns.
The Sovereign stepped toward the group.
"Allay, you may return to your position."
Allay nodded and took his place beside the throne.
"Good. Now I'll explain in detail what's going on, so listen carefully."
He took a breath.
"There are three realms. The Milky Way, where Earth is—a physical world. Then there's the Upper Plane, accessible only through portals: Artasel, the psychic world. Finally, there is Sovereign, our world.
"There exists a force called psychic energy. It powers all abilities. Humans emit a physical aura, but we, the habitants of Artasel and Sovereign, emit a psychic aura. On Earth, psychic energy is extremely scarce, limiting the use of powers. On Artasel and Sovereign, it flows like air—everywhere.
"At the center of every being is what we call a psychic core. It absorbs, stores, and releases psychic energy. It only matures during adolescence. On Earth, the awakening is so weak—due to the low psychic levels—that humans never notice it.
"In Artasel, there are eight primary uses of psychic energy, each ruled by a Sovereign. First, the psychic energy of Life, the most widespread. It manipulates vegetation, elements like fire, earth, and water, and accelerates healing. The Sovereign of Life is Mily, the one dressed in green. Beside her stands her Guardian, Tenesa Feelit—the most powerful user of that type."
Tenesa had blond hair, radiant and graceful, her aura shimmering with life. She wore a light but glowing armor.
"There is the psychic energy of War, allowing users to materialize any weapon, armor, or projectile their mind can conceive—though only momentarily. I, Naltron, am the Sovereign of War. Allay, as you know, is my Guardian.
"Then, the psychic energy of Strength. It boosts physical abilities and reaction time dramatically. The youthful man over there is Stain, Sovereign of Strength. Beside him is his Guardian, Avaris Destroyer."
Avaris looked just as young as his Sovereign, with white hair tied back, tired yellow eyes, and a long, casual coat. His demeanor was relaxed and unreadable.
"Next is the psychic energy of Grace—allowing the body to become lighter, reflexes sharper, and illusions to be created. The Sovereign of Grace is Erza, the imposing woman. Her Guardian is Anna Artifilia."
Anna was fairly young, with blonde hair, dressed in light armor and a crimson uniform.
"As I said, there are eight primary uses of psychic energy, each with a Sovereign. Yet only four thrones are occupied. The others remain empty.
"The missing ones are: Time—able to slow it down while keeping the mind at normal speed, or to accelerate or delay the decay or evolution of matter or life. The Sovereign of Time is Nate.
"Then, Death—capable of reviving the dead temporarily, absorbing life energy, altering corpses. It's a complicated power with many deviant forms. The Sovereign of Death is Sakia.
"And finally, Existence—the absolute form of psychic energy, allowing access to all others. Its Sovereign is Light.
"These three—Nate, Sakia, and Light—agreed to invade Earth and enslave humanity. We, the four remaining Sovereigns, opposed them. A war broke out between the two factions.
"But after ten years of conflict, Vyran, the Sovereign of the Void—a being unlike any of us—ended the war alone. No one ever truly knew what he was or where he came from.
"He brought both sides to their knees and was granted a throne. He already had an army of Void users—a type of psychic energy completely unknown to us at the time.
"The Void… it's unlike anything else. Only its users understand it. They're extremely rare—all descendants of Vyran's army.
"After forcing the enemy Sovereigns to sign a non-aggression pact—created by Light himself—stating that any attack on 'inferior beings' would nullify their rights and allow for their execution, Vyran was ambushed.
"Thousands of users combined their powers to kill him and fled to Earth. Since then, few users of their energy remained in Artasel. Those who didn't participate in the war stayed. The descendants of the Void army scattered across Artasel.
"The 3 sovereign and their fallen users never violated the contract. It would burn if tampered with or broken. But something felt off. Before leaving, they executed all their Guardians—and psychic phenomena began to occur on Earth.
"The Lifesteel royal family—masters of Life energy—had one task: send their daughter, why ? because We had a theory: despite the fact that they were killing and capturing humans, the contract was never technically violated. We deduced that they created hybrids — something that doesn't break the contract on a technical level. So, in order to send Princess Leah to earth to let her body adapt to the low-energy environment, so she could later house the Sovereign's energy and help fight the traitors. because if we were to attack or interfere ourselves, we would be the ones violating the contract. And that would give the hidden traitor Sovereigns on Earth the right to openly strike the humans without using hybrids as intermediaries."
"Her parents opposed it. The idea of making her a hybrid… they were devastated. But the Sovereign of Life insisted—no Earth-born human could ever be worthy of housing the Sovereign's power.
"So she was transformed into a hybrid using the Stone of Life—a unique artifact capable of altering a being's very structure—and sent to Earth.
"Later, when each Sovereign's chosen Heirs reached adolescence, and their psychic cores matured, a portion of energy was transferred into them. The energy level on Earth being so low meant they experienced the awakening similarly to an Artaselian child.
"We are sure the traitors are planning war. They've been killing and abducting humans without violating the contract. We believe they've been creating hybrids—new Guardians, unbound by old loyalties, capable of slaughtering humans without breaking the treaty.
"You are our counterattack—to protect your kind, and to stop the monsters who betrayed us."
Everyone listened in silence. Even Lucas, usually arrogant and dismissive, paid close attention, grasping every word.
Amos, troubled more than ever about his power, turned to Cloack.
"So… you were part of the Void Army?"
Cloack, now used to Amos's sharp intuition, smirked.
"Indeed. I was Vyran's former Guardian—and helped him lead his army. We, the descendants, understand how this power works. I'll explain it when the time comes."
Naltron, Sovereign of War, spoke again.
"We brought you here to enroll you in Glory Academy—the place where adolescents learn to master psychic energy. I'm sure the name sounds familiar."
The heirs exchanged surprised looks, their expressions full of disbelief.
Amos, however, was caught in another thought entirely. His face grew tense as realization settled in.
"Glory… So that means Miss Nike is a psychic being. And that sinister aura she gives off… It feels just like mine. It can't be anything else…"
Amos turned to Cloack, stunned by his own conclusion.
"Nike… is she a Void user?"
Cloack, for once, looked genuinely surprised.
"Kid… now you're starting to scare me. How the hell did you figure that out?"
