Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Humanoid Containment? 076 vs 682!

Da da da! Da da da!

The agents immediately pulled the trigger.

With its massive body, over six meters tall, 682 appeared to be an easy target.

In an instant, dense bullets formed an impenetrable net, relentlessly attacking 682.

However, the bullets, which could break through cement, failed to even pierce the creature's thick outer skin.

682 withstood the barrage, its focus unbroken as it continued its bloodthirsty rampage, ignoring the agents and soldiers around it!

Chaos erupted.

For a moment, cries of despair and blood splattered everywhere.

"Help! I don't want to die yet, ah!!!"

Phew~

682's claws pierced through the chest of one of the D-class personnel.

With terrifying speed, disproportionate to its size, it lunged for its next target.

It was like a relentless death god, obliterating everything in its path.

Watching this bloody spectacle unfold, many viewers felt nauseous.

Yet, a few sharp-eyed individuals noticed something peculiar.

Where was James?

After all this chaos…

Where had James gone?

Only the most observant viewers realized that James had already bolted the moment 682's roar pierced the air.

Sure enough, the camera shifted, now following James, as he sprinted away from the bloodbath.

He was frantically running in the opposite direction from the agents.

For a moment, the audience was confused.

Moistening? Wasn't he supposed to be in danger?

Why wasn't he running toward the agents?

As the last D-class personnel was mercilessly consumed by 682, the monstrous creature finally turned its wrathful gaze upon James, who had distanced himself.

Every time 682 locked eyes with the SCP Foundation icon, its anger seemed to grow tenfold.

"ROAR!!!"

Da da da!

Da da da!

The bullets continued to riddle 682's body, and its surface was now pockmarked with holes and wounds from the relentless assault.

When the chest was struck by special weapons, the agents could faintly see its ribs beneath the skin. The spikes on its back had even pierced through the skin, protruding out like grotesque weapons.

Despite all these wounds, the creature's fury intensified with each passing second.

"XXX (incomprehensible roar of anger)!!!"

The ground trembled as 682's massive claws slammed into the earth.

With an earth-shattering burst, the beast shot forward like a cannonball aimed straight at James!

Danger!

Seeing this, the viewers' hearts froze.

Nick Fury clenched his fists, gritting his teeth as he muttered, "This guy wants to use his own life to draw 682 away? Is he out of his mind? This is suicide!"

Meanwhile, Maria, the assistant who had been watching the screen, gasped.

Then, she shouted in surprise, "No, he's not trying to commit suicide! Look, those soldiers in the strange clothes are behind him, and there's that weirdo!"

James, perhaps to calm his nerves, whispered as he sprinted:

"The real hunter has been Omega-7 since the beginning!"

Before he could finish his sentence, 682's terrifying roar sounded directly behind him.

The viewers' hearts were in their throats.

With the beast's speed, it only needed three more leaps to crush James underfoot.

But James was ready.

Taking a deep breath, he counted down in his mind:

"3…"

"2…"

"1…"

As 682's roar reverberated behind him, James leapt forward like a seasoned diver performing a perfect dive.

Swish!

682's claws slashed through the air, creating a wind strong enough to tear down an electric pole. Yet, James deftly dodged it by a mere fraction.

But before 682 could swing its claws again, a calm voice pierced through the chaos.

"XXXX (incomprehensible sound)."

Miraculously, 682 halted in its tracks at the sound.

The screen then focused on the figure who had spoken.

It was the same mysterious man that the agents had shown caution toward during the transport.

As this mysterious figure appeared, the live broadcast chat exploded with reactions.

"What the hell? This is way too exciting!"

"Yeah, James was literally dancing with death, but he somehow managed to survive!"

"I have to admit, this guy is one massive gambler! Just like last time, he pulled off a lucky bet again…"

"Damn, I almost pissed myself just now! Who is this mysterious man, though?"

Tony Stark watched the mysterious figure on the screen with a furrowed brow.

"Why did 682 stop? Is he communicating with it? What is Omega-7 that James mentioned?"

JARVIS, as usual, couldn't provide answers. "I'm sorry, sir. I can't parse this conversation."

Now, with the mysterious man's arrival, 682 unexpectedly began to calm.

The two—this strange man and the fearsome creature—began to communicate in a language unlike anything anyone had ever heard.

Members of the Mobile Task Force, dressed in individual combat uniforms, cautiously moved forward, holding strange weapons.

Two agents helped James to his feet, and James could faintly hear them whispering.

"SCP-076-2 is negotiating with 682."

SCP-076-2?

When Tony heard this term, his jaw tightened in disbelief.

He stared at the mysterious man on the screen, eyes widening in realization.

"Could it be that this guy is also a containment object?"

Meanwhile, at S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury furrowed his brows deeply.

A series of questions flooded his mind.

Why would this containment subject be working for the Foundation? What was his ability?

As the mysterious figure continued to converse with 682, tension began to rise.

The two had been talking for more than three minutes, and the anger and frustration on both sides were becoming more evident.

Finally, the camera zoomed in on James, who whispered:

"Broken."

The next moment, something truly unexpected happened.

The mysterious figure, SCP-076-2, materialized a blade-like weapon out of thin air in his right hand.

Before anyone could react, he swung it with lightning speed.

Swish!

The blade cut through the air with precision—

And to everyone's shock, 682, usually impervious to damage, almost got cleaved in half!

A collective gasp echoed from the viewers.

Did they just see that?

Had 682 actually been hurt?

In the broadcast, the severely injured 682 let out an earth-shaking roar, furious beyond measure.

"I'll kill you while you're weak!"

SCP-076-2 did not hesitate. He swung the weapon again.

Clang!

At the last moment, 682 swiped its claws to knock away the blade, narrowly avoiding being decimated.

One strike failed.

Undeterred, SCP-076-2 adjusted his stance and went back to fighting with the monstrous beast.

The audience could feel the intensity of the battle. 682, though furious, was starting to show signs of distress.

And SCP-076-2—unmoved, relentless—was continuing the fight without hesitation.

The battle between 682 and SCP-076-2 would not end easily.
