Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: New Paths, New Signals

Even after the college fest concluded, Aarav's schedule hadn't eased up. His dedication and sense of responsibility had left a lasting impression on many—but there wasn't a hint of arrogance in him. The peaceful moments he had spent with his mother on Sunday had now become his strength. But today was Monday—a new week, new hopes, and perhaps... new signals.

As Aarav entered the classroom, he sensed a shift in the atmosphere. Usually, only a handful of students would show up on time, but today the seats were nearly full. And among the unfamiliar faces, there they were—Bhavya Sharma, Meera Gupta, and Megha Mishra. All three had shown up to class regularly for the very first time.

Priya, as usual, was already there, scribbling something in her diary. Aarav smiled and sat beside her.

"What's the rush, madam?" he said teasingly.

Priya smirked, "You wouldn't understand. A diary means a lot in a girl's life."

The class began, and in walked Sanjana Mishra—the Head of the Commerce Department and Megha's mother. The moment she saw Aarav, she smiled.

"You're becoming the face of this college lately, Aarav. It's nice to see your hard work shine."

Aarav humbly nodded, "Thank you, ma'am."

Throughout the class, Bhavya, Meera, and Megha kept stealing glances at Aarav. They were clearly looking for a chance to talk to him, but just couldn't muster up the courage yet.

During the break, Priya went out with her three friends.

"So… suddenly you girls are showing up to class now?" she asked, playfully nudging them.

"Yeah yeah, figured it's time we start taking college seriously," Meera replied with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.

"And a certain someone's dedication during the fest was kinda inspiring," Megha said, laughing.

Priya raised an eyebrow. "You guys… fine, I'll officially introduce you to him."

The three exchanged glances and smiled knowingly.

Later, Priya did just that—she introduced Bhavya, Meera, and Megha to Aarav.

The next day, a new class activity was announced—Business Idea Presentation. Students were to be grouped into teams. Sanjana ma'am began announcing the teams, and fate took an interesting turn—Aarav was grouped with Bhavya Sharma, Meera Gupta, and Megha Mishra.

Aarav was mildly surprised but stayed composed.

"Looks like the grind starts again," he murmured to himself.

The girls had started opening up now.

Meera said, "You really inspired us with how committed you were. We're excited to learn from you, Aarav."

Bhavya added with a soft smile, "And your nature… it's so down to earth."

Megha, who had been quiet until now, chimed in, "It'll be great working with you on this project."

Aarav blushed slightly but kept his cool.

"I'll do my best. Let's make something great together."

From a distance, Priya observed everything. A soft smile played on her lips, but her eyes held something unspoken—maybe a flicker of worry, maybe a twinge of jealousy, or perhaps a silent fear… that this slow-growing bond between her and Aarav might get tangled in these new paths.

But she knew—life teaches new lessons at every turn.

And as for Aarav… this was only the beginning.
