Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

Senju Yukika calmly carried Hashirama's memorial tablet back to his seat, then extended a finger and knocked on it lightly.

"Disrespectful!"

"How dare you!"

As soon as Yukika appeared to profane the memorial tablet that symbolized the highest honor, the entire clan hall erupted in outrage.

What was he trying to do?

Had the new clan head lost his mind?

He had just shown blatant disrespect toward Senju Hashirama, the First Hokage of Konoha, the God of Shinobi who brought unparalleled glory to the Senju Clan!

"Yukika!"

Tsunade, startled, quickly tugged on Yukika's sleeve and whispered urgently.

"That's my grandfather!"

As if I didn't know?

Yukika shrugged and didn't bother to explain anything to Tsunade.

Whatever he was doing, he had his reasons.

The decline of the once-mighty Senju Clan didn't happen overnight.

There had been pressure from above, hostility and wariness from the rest of the shinobi world.

And more importantly, there hadn't been anyone on the same level of strength as the First—or even the Second—Hokage in generations.

Those were the external factors.

All signs seemed to suggest that the era of the Senju had come to an end. Even the clan members themselves had started to accept this as an inevitable truth.

After all, the loss of top-tier fighting strength was an undeniable fact.

Under Hashirama's influence, they believed that blending into Konoha—even sacrificing their own clan for the village's growth—was something they had to accept.

That idea had already sunk deep into their hearts. Changing it wouldn't be easy.

But beyond those external reasons, Yukika saw the rot within the Senju itself.

Their fighting spirit…

It seemed to have died alongside Senju Hashirama and Senju Tobirama.

Those who once stood at the summit of the shinobi world had lost their purpose.

If someone were to objectively analyze the fall of the Senju Clan, they'd have to admit the clan itself was also largely responsible.

Exactly.

Their ambition and drive had vanished.

But their pride in past achievements? That hadn't gone anywhere.

They still saw themselves as the founders of Konoha, the ones who followed the First Hokage to glory.

What does that kind of attitude lead to?

Arrogance. Conceit.

They thought the Senju were unique, even superior—just like the Uchiha Clan with their overbearing pride.

They couldn't see themselves clearly, couldn't step out from the blinding shadow of Senju Hashirama.

Naturally, they wanted to interfere in village affairs.

Back when the Third Hokage rose to power, the Senju opposition had been loud and constant.

Perhaps that was why the Second had made the choice he did—fulfilling the First's will and merging the Senju fully into the village.

But that was not the right path!

To bring peace outside, you must first secure peace within.

The real issue was how to help the Senju rediscover who they were, and how to show them what Konoha truly thought of them now!

That was the key.

Obviously, Yukika's influence didn't compare to the First Hokage's.

Change would have to come one step at a time.

And today, during this clan assembly, Yukika had only one goal:

He wanted the entire clan to understand...

Taking a deep breath, Yukika looked down at the clan members burning with righteous anger. Then he slowly lifted Senju Hashirama's memorial tablet high in the air.

"Tell me..."

"In your hearts and your eyes..."

"This man—Senju Hashirama, the so-called God of Shinobi, the First Hokage who founded Konoha, our former clan head..."

"Is he always right?!"

He's gone mad!

The hall fell into a deathly silence.

Mouths hung open, but no one could utter a single sound.

A ten-year-old boy…

Was openly challenging the First Hokage.
