Chapter 30: The Gift of Heaven
The turning point came when Erica's friends had finally had enough.
"You're coming with us," Risha declared one afternoon, grabbing Erica's arm before she could protest.
Erica frowned. "Where?"
"Somewhere that isn't school, your room, or that damn river," Audrey said.
Before Erica knew it, she was dragged into a weekend plan that she hadn't agreed to. They took her out—to a café, to the mall, anywhere that would force her out of her own head.
"We get it," Steph said as they sat around a table in a small diner. "Heartbreak sucks. But you can't let it ruin you."
"I'm fine," Erica muttered, stirring her drink.
Kim snorted. "No, you're not."
And for the first time in a while, Erica realized—maybe she wasn't.
Maybe she didn't have to be.
Looking outside in the window,she barely noticed herself like someone that isn't her,the new her was so different she wants to bring back the old her,the one that didn't care about others,the one that the only thing that knows is to laugh and speak all day long.
She really missed the old her but didn't know how to bring it back.
Then.....she saw Angel walking in a slower motion towards her,she look at her for a few seconds,then.....Kim interrupts her.
"Hey!!,you want to fix yourself right?"
"Yess I do"Erica answerd
"Then try to love Angel,maybe she can help you to be a better person"
"Nahh!! Angel is just my friend," Erica said with some thoughts on her mind.
The she didn't notice the there was Angel standing Infront of her,and she was shocked knowing that there face was only an inch afar Angel gives her a cringe smirk then dat beside them.
"There was the Angel from heaven,does God sent you here to guide her?"Steph said with an annoying face.
"Holly sh*t, heaven really answered my prayers,gonna go,you two injoy" after saying that Risha grabs Kim,Steph and Audrey then leave.
In that whole afternoon Erica spends all her time laughing and talking with Angel,she didn't even notice that it was almost 6:00 p.m.
"Hey Erica, don't you want to go home?"
"Well .....I guess we should go home"
When they arrived at Erica' place there was her granda sitting in the sofa and she greete them with a smile.She seems to be really happy seeing Erica with Angel.After a short conversation Angel kissed Erica on her chick,Erica's face turns red then Angel left.
