Chapter 19 - This Guy Really Doesn't Play by the Rules

Ryan had been reading until 11 p.m. when he decided to sleep and took off his headphones.

Unexpectedly, the sounds of impacts and howls still occasionally came from outside.

However, after a day of reading, both his mind and eyes were somewhat fatigued.

Ryan turned off the light, lay down on the bed, and quickly fell asleep, completely unaffected by the noise outside.

The next day, Ryan was woken up again by the commotion from the wolves downstairs.

Knowing he wouldn't be able to sleep anymore, he sighed, got dressed, and went downstairs. He cooked a bowl of noodles and brought it to the sofa in the living room to eat.

The storm outside continued, and the wolves were still persistently ramming the glass wall.

The white wolf, which had been sleeping in the corner, suddenly opened its eyes upon sensing Ryan's presence and looked at him again.

At that moment, Ryan was slurping up a noodle. Upon noticing the white wolf's gaze, he quickly swallowed the noodle, raised his hand, and waved at the wolf with a smile, saying, "Hi! Good morning!"

The wolf's eyes coldly observed Ryan without being provoked again. It simply closed its eyes and continued to sleep.

Ryan glanced at the wolf in surprise, but then his attention was suddenly drawn to the base of the glass wall, where a large amount of white debris had gathered.

He looked up at the ceiling and saw that the area where the glass wall met the ceiling had cracked.

Ryan's expression changed slightly. He stopped eating, left the bowl of noodles on the coffee table and walked over to the glass wall.

After examining it for a moment, he understood the situation.

Although the wolves couldn't break through the glass wall, the roof and walls were struggling to withstand the pressure.

After a night of continuous impacts, the glass wall had pushed the upper wall to the point of cracking.

If this continued, the upper wall might be completely shattered, and the entire glass wall could collapse.

Thinking of this, Ryan's heart skipped a beat. No wonder the white wolf wasn't in a hurry. Had it discovered this?

Was this creature really that intelligent?

He looked outside again and noticed something else.

The gray wolves ramming the glass wall were not doing so randomly. They were organized in pairs, taking turns to ram the wall.

This way, each wolf had a chance to rest and avoid getting injured after just a few impacts.

"This guy really doesn't play by the rules," Ryan muttered to himself.

At a glance, Ryan knew immediately that this was the white wolf's arrangement. Ordinary gray wolves wouldn't have such intelligence.

Ryan suddenly realized he had underestimated the white wolf's intelligence. This creature was incredibly smart, almost as if it had become a human.

Ryan's appetite was gone in an instant. Although this had just begun, if it continued like this, the glass wall would eventually collapse.

Moreover, he knew this would bring him immense psychological pressure.

He would have to constantly monitor the situation with the glass wall, lest he be caught off guard when it collapsed.

This would likely affect his sleep as well.

Frowning, Ryan had originally planned to rest for a few more days to heal his left arm before executing his plan. However, plans never seem to keep up with changes. Now, Ryan had no choice but to face the situation head-on.

He turned and walked to the coffee table, quickly finished his noodles, and then went back upstairs. He cleaned and rebandaged his wound.

After that, Ryan began to move some essential items to the garage and placed them in the trunk of a white Bentley Continental GT.

Among the four supercars in the garage, besides the recognizable Bentley, he had never seen the other three logos before.

Although they all looked cool, only the Bentley Continental had the largest trunk, capable of holding the most items.

For Ryan, the appearance of the car was irrelevant now. What mattered most was its capacity to carry more items.

After placing some medical supplies, food, and water in the car, he returned to the living room on the first floor.

Ryan placed the grenades on the coffee table and then found the remote control for the glass door. He gently pressed it.

The glass wall, like a rolling shutter door, was automatic and could be raised or lowered.

Ryan had become familiar with every corner of the villa, so he was not unfamiliar with this feature.

As soon as Ryan pressed the remote control and saw the glass wall rise about ten centimeters, he immediately pressed the pause button.

The glass wall stopped there, leaving a ten-centimeter gap at the bottom.

The gray wolves outside, which had been rhythmically ramming the door, stopped for a moment, seemingly puzzled by the sudden gap on the ground.

Some of the wolves couldn't wait and stretched their paws through the gap to test it.

At this moment, the white wolf stood up and let out a low growl. The gray wolves immediately made way for it to approach.

The white wolf looked at the gap under the glass wall with confusion. Despite its high intelligence, it couldn't understand what was happening at first.

Just then, it suddenly saw a round object thrown out from inside the house, landing at its feet.

The white wolf immediately retreated a few steps, keeping a distance from the object. Then it saw two more identical objects roll out.

The white wolf's eyes revealed a strange, almost puzzled look. However, when it saw Ryan sprinting away from the house, it instinctively sensed something was wrong. Its four sturdy legs pushed off the ground, and it leaped to a safer distance.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

At the moment the white wolf was in mid-air, three earth-shattering explosions rang out.

The wolf felt an extremely powerful shockwave surge towards it, lifting its massive body in the air.

It also felt a sharp pain in several parts of its body, causing it to let out a fierce howl in agony.

Thud!

The white wolf landed heavily on the ground, creating a loud impact.

As it raised its massive head to look at the direction of the glass wall, its eyes filled with intense ferocity and rage.

In that direction, the glass wall and the villa's wall had collapsed, but the ground was littered with wolf carcasses.

At the center of the explosion, there were severed limbs and bodies of gray wolves, with blood and entrails scattered everywhere.

The entire wolf pack, except for the white wolf, was now dead.

The white wolf let out an extremely furious howl and instantly jumped up from the ground.

It stared angrily around the villa and then saw a white car speeding out of the garage on the far right side of the villa, heading down the mountain.
