Season 1 — Episode 6: "The Masked Hunters"
Surya landed hard, blade still humming from the slice. Behind him, Aditya dropped in, his red blade gleaming, eyes like a panther's.
The people gasped.
Their saviors had arrived—not gods, but men carved by suffering.
> Narration (Surya's inner voice):
"I once begged to be saved. Today, I don't beg. I cut. I fight. I protect."
Surya and Aditya moved like shadows. Blades danced, Wormen limbs flew. Every strike was calculated—aimed at weak points Surya had studied for weeks.
Wormen shrieked. But neither Surya nor Aditya were touched.
Surya's mask was stained red. His new body was no longer skinny—it was forged like a blade. Muscle. Focus. Wrath.
He looked nothing like the boy he once was.
Aditya blocked three Wormen at once with a spinning slash. "I'll hold them. Get the people out!"
Surya nodded, grabbed smoke pellets from his pouch, and tossed them.
Smoke exploded. Screams turned to coughs.
> Surya (commanding): "THIS WAY! MOVE NOW! HEAD TO THE SOUTH SHAFT!"
The people listened. They followed Surya through tunnels, crawling, sobbing—but alive.
Once the last civilian exited, Surya turned back into the inferno.
He rejoined Aditya—two against monsters.
And the Wormen fell. One after another. Blood. Limbs. Flesh.
It was over.
Or so they thought.
---
[Silence. Then… the sound. A twisting. Cracking. Gurgling. Like bones being chewed from the inside.]
They turned.
Surya's eyes widened.
> Surya (whispering): "No… these can't be…"
The Wormen's limbs were growing back. Twisting. Expanding. Their necks cracked, jaws unhinged, flesh regrowing at an unnatural speed.
Their eyes turned black. Some grew larger than before—almost 20 feet.
The Wormen were regenerating.
Aditya stepped beside Surya, sword gripped tighter.
> Aditya: "This changes everything."
> Surya (coldly): "Then we change with it."
Their silhouettes stood tall. Surrounded. Outnumbered. But not broken.
Episode Ends.

Surya's Dark Reflection (unspoken inner voice):
"We were never meant to survive this.
We are not heroes. We are not human anymore.
We are sharpened by fear. Forged by betrayal.
And when the monsters grow stronger... so must the monster within me."
"To kill a monster, you must become what even monsters fear."
"There's no fairness in survival. Only scars."
"Can two broken boys stop the rebirth of a nightmare?"
"When death isn't the end, neither is mercy."
"What do you do when the monsters refuse to die?"
"They grew back their flesh. We grew back our rage."
"Mercy died the day monsters learned to heal
