[7 years later]
"Mommm, Jeanne is using her powers to cheat!! " my snitch of a twin brother Mark yelled, and I quickly lowered the ball with my telekinesis. A few seconds later, my mother came outside with her hand on her hip.
"Nothing to see here Mom! Mark is just being dumb!" I said nervously but I didn't even have to read her mind to know that I was in trouble.
"Now young lady, what did I say about using your powers to terrorize your brother?" She doesn't even know the full story!
"But Mom, he called me a matchstick!" I pointed at the now nervous-looking Mark. Our mother sighed and shook her head.
"Well since you're both guilty, your punishment is accompanying me to the grocery store." Much to our dismay. I seriously considered changing her mind but I vowed to never alter an innocent person's mind, especially my own mother.
"Ughhhh, do we have to Mom??" Mark complained and Mom laughed at his suffering, "Of course you do, unless you want to be grounded?"
"Nevermind! The grocery store sounds like a great place, right sis?" Mark nudged me on the arm to save himself some face.
"Yes, yes of course!" I exclaimed and Mom clapped her hands together, "Great! Let's go right now so we can surprise your father with dinner."

[Within the crust of the Earth]
A short, bald, old man with a permanently deranged look on his face walked through the caverns of the Earth's crust. Pockets of magma erupted here and there but they didn't seem to bother him. He continued his almost aimless walk until he reached a deep cave. The outside of the cave was made out of kimberlite but as he walked in, the shiny and tough gem diamond became more prevalent.
He walked until he reached what resembled a throne room. Large diamond formations decorated the room and sitting upon the throne was a man made out of diamonds. He was very tall standing around 9ft and incredibly muscular which was only bolstered by his diamond form.
The diamond man looked at Doc Seismic with an uninterested gaze, "Why have you come here, old man? Didn't I tell you I have no interest in conquering the surface world?"
Doc Seismic laughed, "I'm well aware of this Jack but I have a proposition you simply cannot refuse!" Seismic said with a maniacal grin. Diamond Jack gestured for Seismic to continue with his hand.
"As you know, Omni-Man has children now. I've made it my mission over the last seven years to accurately pinpoint their seismic waves. If we kidnap his children, Omni-Man will have to do everything we say!" Seismic exclaimed. Jack rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"For a man with the title of Doctor, you're not the brightest. I've witnessed Omni-Man travel from China to Chicago in less than five minutes. How do you plan to stop a man who can fly faster than most ICBMs, can stop a Texas-sized meteor from hitting Earth, and as far as we know has never been more injured than a nosebleed?!" Jack yelled as he slammed his fist down on his throne in anger.
Seismic laughed again, "We don't have to stop Omni-Man, we simply have to keep him occupied for a while! Trust me, Jack, I've thought this plan out very thoroughly. I need your assistance in swiping the children and don't forget the wife too."
Jack gnashed his teeth but then threw his hands up in the air, "Oh what the hell. I've got nothing to lose and if I die what better way to go than in battle!"
Jack stood up and his hulking figure towered over Doc Seismic. He put his hands together and the throne room began to rumble. Suddenly, diamond people began sprouting out of the ground. They weren't as tall or muscular as Jack but they could easily deal with the average hero.
"Let's go." Jack said as he, Seismic, and his army of diamond sentries walked out of his throne room.

[Siberia, Russia]
"ROAAAAARRR!!!" The powerful roar of a three-story-tall white tiger rang throughout the frozen tundra. The tiger's rage was focused on a flying man, who had a very luscious mustache.
"Easy kitty, if you would go back to sleep under the ice I won't have to hurt you." Nolan said with his arms crossed as he descended lower. The tiger didn't like those words and swung its gigantic paw at him. Nolan dodged the paw with ease but was then smacked into the ground by its tail.
He levitated out of the deep crater he was put into without any injuries or even a mark on his suit. He squinted his eyes at the tiger in annoyance. The tiger tried swiping Nolan with its paw again but Nolan stopped that with one hand. He gripped the tiger and threw it across the tundra.
The tiger rolled across the ice but caught itself with its large claws but that was futile as Nolan rushed the tiger and sent it flying again with a powerful right hook. The tiger helplessly bounced on the ice until it stopped moving. Two of its large fangs were missing and icy blue blood leaked out of its mouth rapidly.
The tiger rose slowly and its eyes began glowing blue. Its white fur began transitioning to blue as the air temperature around it dropped rapidly. Immediately, the tiger opened its mouth and released a thick beam of ice energy. Nolan was a little surprised by the ice beam and put his arms up to block it.
The beam collided with his arms and began pushing him back, much to his surprise again. He also felt the skin on his arms beginning to freeze so he flew through the ice beam and closed the tiger's mouth shut. The ice beam with nowhere to go, backfired on the tiger causing it to explode.
All that was left of the tiger was the head Nolan was holding, "Maybe I'll keep this. I'm sure Mark or Jeanne would find it cool."
Just as Nolan was about to fly away, a black figure came out of the sky and drop-kicked him into the ice. The figure was a man in black armor with a singular red-glowing eye. Purple electricity was sparking around him and he waited above the crater with his arms crossed. Omni-Man flew out of the crater with a deep frown on his face and a bloody nose.
"Legionnaire. I thought the GDA placed you under maximum security, how did you get out?" Nolan asked as he wiped his nose. Legionnaire laughed, "Let's say I've made a few new friends."
Suddenly, Doc Seismic came behind Nolan and punched him into the ground, infuriating Nolan. He looked at his two new adversaries with disdain, "You two won't have to worry about prison. I'm going to stain the ice with your blood."

[Chicago, Illinois]
"Mom, can we get Immortal-O's instead of Martian Wheaties? Those are so yucky!" Mark asked our mother and stuck his tongue out in disgust. I actually found the Martian Wheaties quite enjoyable, they remind me of Frosted Flakes.
"No Mark, if you want to be big and strong like your father you need the correct nutrients. Immortal-O's is filled with nothing but sugar." Mom shot down his request instantly.
"Hahahaha!!" I pointed and laughed at Mark earning a stern look from Mom. Whoops, ehehehehe. Suddenly, for the first time in my life, I felt an incredibly menacing force beneath us. I reacted quickly and created a forcefield around my brother and mother.
"Jeanne what-" My mother's question was cut short by the ground beneath us being torn apart by crystalline hands. I flung my brother and mother out of the grocery store and tried to assess the situation. Diamond people were coming out of the ground…
What the hell?! The diamond people began indiscriminately killing people in their way with ease too. The sight…was sickening. I felt my breakfast come up and I threw up on what was left of the floor. The despair of everyone in my vicinity, I could feel it. It's like I was sinking into a deep pool of despair and misery. It was overwhelming, but I can't pass out right now! My forcefield on my family will vanish and they will be in danger!
I slowly stood up and looked over where I flung them. I saw numerous diamond people trying to brute force their way into my forcefields. All that despair and misery I was feeling was quickly replaced with rage. I grabbed all six diamond people with my telekinesis.
They weren't alive. I couldn't read their minds, so they were more like sentries. Good. I closed my hand and the diamond sentries were crushed into tiny balls. I flung the balls at the sentries inside of the store, leaving large holes in their inanimate bodies.
I levitated myself and levitated all of the survivors out of the store. I placed thinner forcefields around them and set them outside. I didn't need to read their minds to know how fearful they were, I could feel it.
"Seismic didn't mention Omni-Man's daughter having telekinesis. This only makes this already impossible job, much harder…" I heard a deep voice behind me. When I turned around, a giant diamond man was standing there. Judging by the fact that he spoke and I can read his mind, he's alive. He must be the one behind this.
"What do you want with me or my family?!" I yelled in rage. How dare he try to attack my family! What if I wasn't here? What if Mom went alone? The thought of losing my mother at the hands of such a brute enraged me even further. I didn't even care about what he had to say.
Before he could speak I lifted him up and slammed him into the asphalt with as much force as my mind could muster. With the first slam, his diamond shell had a few cracks in it. So I slammed him again and again and again and again and again AND AGAIN!
'JEANNE HONEY PLEASE STOP HE'S ALREADY DEAD!!' I heard my mother's voice echo throughout my mind. Huh? I looked down and there was a mangled body in a pool of blood. I could still read his mind, which means he isn't dead…not yet.
'You will never harm another human being again. You won't even harm animals, you will live the rest of your life as a peace-loving hippie. If you defy this order your brain will automatically shut off and you will become a vegetable for the rest of your miserable life.' I commanded the diamond man on the ground. My orders were absolute, if he defied them what I said will happen immediately.
I looked back at my mother and brother and a look I didn't enjoy was on their face. The look of fear. Unlike how my brother will become in the future, I won't hesitate to kill anyone who harms my family. Not for a second, that's a lesson Mark learned too late. Now to find my father, I'm sure he can handle himself but I don't wanna take any chances.
I closed my eyes and spoke to him through our psychic link.
'Dad, are you okay?'
'Yes Jeanne, just a bit busy at the moment. Why, are you guys alright?! Did anything happen?!'
'Yes, but I handled the problem accordingly. He won't ever be a threat again, I made sure of that.'
'That's my daughter!'
'Bye Dad. Mom is gonna be really mad later though, so please don't take her side too much.'
'No promises kiddo.'
