Kiro enters along with Lyra and as they walked towards the Shrine, he asks her
"So why are most heroes always out of station"
She looks at him and answers
"Since we have more villains compared to heroes".
Kiro gives a concerned look as they walk, he looks up to the sky and says "Is it because humanity is losing?"
Lyra looks sad by hearing that but it was the bitter truth.Most people who gained powers joined the other forces since humanity was on the losing end.
"Yes" replies Lyra with a guilt face.
After walking a few minutes, They reach the shrine, there sat two statues of fox.
They see a man sweeping the dried leaves outside the shrine.
Kiro looks at him and questions
"Is this the ancient altar?"
The man looks at them in surprise and answers "This is not a place for honeymoon ya'know"
"No-no" says both as they panicked and shows a no hand gesture.
"I was told to come here" says Kiro with a serious face.
The man stops sweeping and leans on the broom—-" the owner is not available ya'know" replies the man.
Kiro takes a step and shouts "We can wait".
The man takes a sigh and turns back—"Do as you see fit" replies the man as he heads in.
"May I know your name?" Asks Kiro as he steps inside.
The man stops walking and replies—" That's none of your concern"
Lyra gets mad and says " Hey!! Isn't that rude for someone whom you just met?"
Kiro looks at her amazed — " Yeah that's rude of you" says Kiro as he backs her.
The man starts to walk ignoring them and says—"You're the ones intruding the property"
He walks in and closes the door of the shrine.
Lyra looks at Kiro and asks "What do we do now"
He looks concerned but sits on the floor and replies "we wait here."
They keep on waiting and Lyra takes a walk around the shrine looking at the statues and inscriptions.She wears a Straw hat with a blue dress, meanwhile Kiro picks up the dried leaves from the ground.
NIGHT FALLS
They were still waiting in the compound of the shrine,Lyra sits near one of the statues of the fox, the lamps were yet to be lit and so it was dark outside.
A man walks in the compound where they both wait, " Are you guys lost?" Asks the man as he smiles, he wears a Blue Kimono dress.
Kiro gets up and replies"No , we are waiting for the owner of this shrine".
Lyra gets down from the statue and stands beside Kiro—"Do you think he might be the owner?" whispers Lyra.
The man spreads his arm and replies "I'm the owner of this shrine" and talks towards them.
Kiro spreads one of his arm shielding Lyra,
signalling her to step back.—" You liar!" replies kiro as he takes out his sword.
The man gives a serious face and replies
"That's rude for someone who's standing in my way"
He walks towards them and disappears.
Kiro and Lyra stands on guard behind one another. He takes his sword and starts to imbue his mana while water starts to float around Lyra.
A gust of wind blows and the man attacks them, CLINKK!!
And Kiro blocks his attack and shouts "watch out!!"
Lyra shoots water towards him but he splits the water with his palms which acted as a sword.
The man takes out his tongue and licks his hands,—" A feast for me tonight" says the man.
Kiro dashes towards him " Divine step: Nurturing Owl." whispers Kiro and slashes him down with his sword.
The slash goes through him like a mist.
" Too bad, you're no match against me"
Says the man as he reconnects himself.
Kiro looks back—"This is bad" thinks Kiro as he changes his stance and leaps towards him again, the man dodges by moving aside and from behind Lyra appears and engulfs him with water. He was now trapped inside a ball of water.
Lyra takes out her palm controlling the water ball.
"Nice one Lyra!" says Kiro as he pats on her shoulder.
The man struggles inside the water ball and stops moving, she releases her hands and the water disappears.
The man falls slowly and as he opens his eyes
SNAPPP
His hands pierce inside her stomach, she coughs up blood.
Kiro's gaze widens at the sight of this,
He grabs his sword firmly and slashes through him, but it was useless as it cut through him like a mist.
The man falls back and laughs, as Lyra falls kiro catches her with one arm, she could barely open her eyes.
The man continues to laugh hysterically at them.
"Ahhh right, I remember a similar sight like this" thinks Kiro recalling the previous incident.
He mutters, "Because of scums like you people are losing faith in themselves and humanity is slowly crumbling apart."
He slowly places her down and gets up holding his sword as he looks down.
His face covered in shadows he mutters
"We're all toys for your entertainment right?"
The man laughs and responds to him—"Do you think humans can even stand up to us?"
Hahahaha and he continues to laugh.
"Enough toying with us." Mutters Kiro and he starts to walk towards him, step by step, he gathers his Mana.
As he walks the lamps start to lit up in blue flames.
Flashes of people crying and begging for help appears in his mind and he starts to hear—
Oh heavens!! Answer our prayers!— And the images of killings and evil laughters starts to flash in his mind.
As Lyra laid down in the compound she sees Kiro with her eyes half open, Tears starts to flow from her eyes, she whispers Kiro as he walks towards the man.
As he walks, illusions starts to appear to walk beside him, one notable figure was a monkey with his staff.
The man starts to sweat and looks at him in Panick— " It can't be, Wha-What are you" as he steps back.
"I am the hope of people" replies Kiro as he opens his eyes which turns blue.
