Chapter 60 - "Audience with the Headmaster — Secrets of the Forgotten Past"

Location: Imperial Academy — Tower of Eternity

After the chaos of the assassination attempt, Kael barely had time to catch his breath.

A formal summons arrived immediately, delivered by a trembling, pale-faced messenger:

"The Headmaster requests your presence at the Tower of Eternity. Alone."

Students whispered in the corridors.Teachers avoided his gaze. The entire Academy now seemed divided — those who feared Kael… and those who coveted him.

But Kael?He simply walked, calm and steady, toward the towering spire at the Academy's heart.

Each step echoed against ancient stone floors.

The Tower of Eternity was forbidden to most students — a place said to house relics older than the empire itself.

At the summit, beyond countless wards and seals, sat Headmaster Aldric Vaelthorn, the most powerful mage of the modern age.

And today, he would meet the boy the world had declared useless… and now feared.

The Headmaster's True Face

Kael entered the grand chamber.

It was filled with swirling galaxies of magic, floating tomes, and artifacts that hummed with ancient power.

At the center sat Headmaster Vaelthorn — a man in dark blue robes, his face carved with wisdom and sorrow.

His silver eyes — piercing and tired — met Kael's calmly.

"You've grown," the Headmaster said, voice like a rolling storm.

Kael remained silent, standing tall despite the suffocating magical pressure.

Finally, Aldric gestured to a chair.

"Sit, Kael Solaris. Today… you will learn truths that even gods dared not whisper."

Secrets of the Past Revealed

The Headmaster raised his hand, conjuring a massive, glowing mural in the air.

Scenes flashed before Kael's eyes:

A celestial war tearing apart worlds.

A figure — Kael's past self — leading armies against monstrous beings.

A council of gods condemning him, branding him a villain.

And finally, Kael's soul being ripped apart, sealed, and reincarnated into a powerless prince.

The mural faded.

Silence pressed down.

Aldric spoke solemnly:

"You were once called Azrath Solaris — the God of Rebellion and Salvation."

"You broke the cosmic laws not for selfishness… but to save the realms from extinction."

"The very gods you protected betrayed you, fearing your strength, your mind, and your heart."

Kael's fists clenched.

Somewhere deep inside, he had always known.

But hearing it — having it confirmed — was like a blade twisting in his chest.

Aldric continued:

"There are those among the living and the divine who still remember you — some with hatred, others with hope."

"The Fallen Ones... and the Loyal Remnants both seek you."

"You must be ready."

A Gift and a Warning

The Headmaster rose from his seat, revealing a sealed silver scroll.

It pulsed with divine energy.

"Take this," he said, handing it to Kael."Inside is the Ecliptic Codex — the key to unlocking the first tier of your forgotten powers."

But he added, voice grave:

"Be warned, Kael Solaris."

"Every step forward will awaken greater enemies. Every memory you regain will shake the heavens."

"This world… was not made to hold a god reborn."

The tower trembled slightly, as if reality itself shuddered at those words.

Kael took the scroll without hesitation.

His eyes burned with fierce resolve.

A New Path

As Kael exited the Tower of Eternity under the starlit sky, he knew:

He could no longer pretend to be an ordinary prince.

He could no longer run from the destiny etched into his very soul.

The enemies gathering in the dark would soon learn...

The prince they scorned was no longer asleep.

Azrath Solaris was awakening.

And this time — he would not be betrayed.
