Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: The Dragon's Final Dance

Smoke and fire tore through the dark night.

The complex had turned into a battlefield at the edge of the world.

Jung Kok and Jung Joon now faced a new line —

Min's elite unit, clad in black metal armor, their faces blank like killing machines.

"This isn't a street fight anymore," muttered Jung Joon.

Jung Kok took a deep breath, his eyes blazing.

"This... is a calculated massacre."

Splitting the Field

Without wasting time, they moved — no need for signals.

Jung Kok switched tactics: moving like a snake, fast and deadly.

Jung Joon acted as the decoy, drawing the elite unit's attention with precise shots at their shields, forcing their formation to split.

One, two, three enemies separated.

That was all Jung Kok needed.

In seconds, he plunged a knife into the gaps of their armor — under the armpit, the vulnerable, unprotected area.

The first enemy collapsed, screaming.

Jung Joon didn't waste the opportunity — he used the high-velocity bullets he had reserved for this elite unit.

BOOM!

One head exploded, shards of the helmet flying through the air.

The Mind Game

This wasn't just a physical battle — it was psychological warfare too.

At every fallen enemy, Jung Kok left a quick message, written in blood on the floor:

"We know who the true mastermind is."

Word of the message spread among Min's soldiers, sowing doubt and fear.

Some started to hesitate, casting suspicious glances at each other.

Jung Kok and Jung Joon pounced, wolves among a panicked flock.

From the Shadows

Far from the complex — in the deep of night,

Hwang stood atop an abandoned building, watching from afar.

The wind whipped through his hair.

His eyes sharp, glinting like a blade.

Around him, a line of men in black — his personal force, long kept as his 'last weapon.'

These men weren't just mercenaries — they were Legendary Assassins, handpicked and trained by Hwang in his younger days.

"It's time I step in myself," Hwang said quietly, his voice deep like distant thunder.

His chief bodyguard, Tae-sik, bowed.

"Orders, Boss?"

Hwang gave a thin smile — the same smile that once terrified the entire underworld.

"Let Jung Kok and Jung Joon finish their work first.

We move only when the time is truly right."

Hwang stepped forward, letting the night swallow him.

The Bloody Battlefield

Back at the field,

Jung Kok was now drenched in blood from head to toe.

His knife had snapped.

He grabbed a short sword from a fallen enemy.

With a new weapon in hand, he charged again.

Jung Joon, slightly injured in the shoulder, fought bravely, shooting enemies while circling the chaos.

Explosions echoed one after another, marking their success in destroying more sections of the complex.

But something changed.

Suddenly, from the distance,

The enemy line began to pull back slowly.

They weren't fleeing.

They were retreating — orderly, as if following a hidden command.

Jung Kok and Jung Joon halted, panting heavily.

"Something's wrong," said Jung Joon, cold sweat trickling down his face.

Jung Kok gritted his teeth.

He recognized this tactic — not a retreat, but a lure, pulling them deeper in.

A cracking sound echoed above.

Crack... crack... KRAK!

The iron roof overhead started to break apart.

From above —

Heavily armed troops descended alongside mini drones, armed with small missiles.

This was total war.

The Final Tactic

Jung Kok and Jung Joon quickly took cover beneath the rubble.

They exchanged a look — one signal was enough.

They knew: to survive, they had to 'enter hell' — to plunge straight into the collapsed heart of the complex where Min supposedly awaited.

"I'll go in from the left," said Jung Joon.

"You take the right. We'll burn him from both sides," Jung Kok replied.

They split without hesitation.

The Dragon Moves

In the darkness,

Hwang pulled out his satellite phone and made a call.

"Initiate phase two," he said curtly.

Far off in the distance, a black convoy began rolling toward the complex —

Led by Hwang himself, the old Dragon who still had his fangs.

This war wasn't over.

It had only just begun.
