Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The train

The trio clashed with the demons, their onslaught relentless as they fought to save as many survivors as possible. However, the demons seemed to multiply, their numbers unending.

"Fireball!" Nara shouted, unleashing a massive fireball that incinerated the demons in its path.

Nara's breathing grew ragged, his chest heaving with exhaustion. "These things just won't stop coming," he muttered, as another wave of demons emerged.

He had already rescued all the survivors in his wing, and now his focus was on fighting off the demons. With a battle cry, Nara charged forward, his fists erupting with flames as he exploded the demons.

"Hell flame burst!" he exclaimed, his fist connecting with a demon's torso and sending it flying into the air in a massive explosion.

Despite his valiant efforts, the demons continued to appear, their numbers seemingly endless.

Meanwhile, Hina stood in the hallway, holding the hand of an elderly woman. However, her path was blocked by a horde of demons.

"Stay here, ma'am," Hina said, her face etched with tension. "I'll be done in a jiffy."

The old woman nodded, her eyes filled with fear, but also a hint of determination.

"Sword sorcery..." Hina whispered, as she charged forward, her katana elongating and dripping with a dark substance.

"Death cleaver!" she declared, stamping her foot on the ground and swinging her sword horizontally. The blade sliced through the demons' waists, cutting them down with a cataclysmic impact.

Hina plunged forward, her sword overhead, and landed a massive strike on the ground. An invisible slash appeared, cutting through the ground and slashing through the demons in a bloody impact.

The hallway was suddenly clear, and Hina rushed back to the old woman, grabbing her hands and pulling her to safety.

"You're safe..." Hina began, but her words trailed off as her eyes widened in horror. A massive horde of demons had appeared in the station, their numbers stretching as far as the eye could see.

"What the?" Hina exclaimed, her mind racing with the implications.

Just then, a spark of light flickered in the distance, and a demon's body exploded. Nara leapt from the midst of the horde, landing beside Hina with a fierce determination etched on his face.

"They just won't stop coming," Nara growled, his gaze fixed on the demons.

"Where did they even come from?" Hina asked, her face etched with confusion.

"I guess we'll just keep fighting until they give," Nara replied, his voice unwavering.

Hina glanced at Nara, her expression softening slightly. Despite their differences, she admired his unyielding willpower.

"Yeah," she replied, her voice firm.

"Here we go!" Nara shouted, dashing forward with flames erupting from his body as he clashed with the demons.

Hina wanted to join the fight, but she couldn't leave the old woman behind. So, she took a defensive stance, her katana flashing in the dim light as she weaved through the demons' attacks, severing their hands and heads with deadly precision.

Meanwhile, Code was searching for any sign of the missing girl. He had scoured every room, every corner, but found nothing.

A glimmer of doubt crept into his mind, but he pushed it aside, his determination to save the girl burning brighter than ever.

"I'll save her," he whispered, his heart pounding with resolve.

Code ran down the long hallway, arriving at a dimly lit corridor to the right. The air grew thick with an eerie silence, and the shadows seemed to writhe like living things.

His heart skipped a beat as he hesitated, his conscience screaming at him to turn back. The corridor seemed to stretch on forever, the darkness pulsing with an otherworldly energy.

But he steeled himself and pressed on, driven by his determination to find the girl. Every step echoed through the corridor, making it seem like he was being watched.

The silence was oppressive, and Code's senses were on high alert.

Hina and Nara were already running on fumes, their movements slowing as they struggled to battle the endless horde. Hina was having a hard time fighting and protecting the old woman at the same time.

"Crimson burst!" Nara shouted, unleashing a wave of flames that engulfed the demons. However, the flames were weak, and the demons surged through them like a tidal wave.

"Argh argh," Nara's breathing grew ragged, his eyes blurring from the effects of overexertion. But he refused to give up, hurling his flames at the demons with a determination that bordered on desperation.

Hina quickly glanced at Nara, noticing his movements had become slower and more labored. She wanted to help, but she had her own problems to deal with.

"Dark crescent slash!" she exclaimed, unleashing a powerful slash that cut through the demons' heads. However, she was also getting tired, her movements becoming slower and more staggered.

The demons began to overpower the duo, surrounding them and throwing their fists from all directions. It seemed like things were about to take a turn for the worse.

Just when all hope seemed lost, a low rumble began to build in intensity, growing louder and more prominent. Nara and Hina exchanged a glance, their eyes widening as they realized what was causing the sound.

It was the train.
