Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Seer’s Vision

The path to the Seer's dwelling twisted through ancient woods that whispered secrets with every breeze. The trees were older than any Alpha's reign, their bark scarred with runes too faded to read. Elara walked beside Kael in silence, clutching the obsidian pendant tightly.

"This forest feels… alive," she said softly.

Kael nodded. "It remembers. The Seer lives beyond the veil of this world—between visions and reality. Speak only truth when you're in her presence. She'll know if you lie."

They reached a clearing bathed in silver light. At its center stood a small cottage covered in ivy and moss, smoke curling from the crooked chimney. Wind chimes of bones and feathers hung from the porch, clinking eerily.

As they stepped inside, the scent of herbs and incense filled the air. Crystals lined every shelf, and candles burned with flames of blue and green. In the center of the room sat a woman cloaked in gray, her hair long and silver like threads of moonlight.

Her eyes were completely white.

"I have been waiting," she said, her voice deep, echoing. "The Moonmate has come."

Elara swallowed. "You know who I am?"

The Seer nodded. "I know what you are. And what hunts you."

Kael stepped forward. "Then tell us. How do we stop him?"

The Seer ignored him, rising slowly and reaching out. Her fingers hovered over Elara's mark. "So much light. So much danger."

Elara held her breath as the Seer placed both hands on her shoulders.

Suddenly, the room disappeared.

Elara's vision was flooded with images—flashes of a burning forest, a silver wolf howling under a blood moon, a blade glowing with moonlight... and Kael, standing over her, his hands stained with blood—her blood.

She gasped and stumbled back as the vision broke.

The Seer's voice was grave. "The bond between you two is powerful. But it is also your greatest risk. If it is completed before the final moon rises, it could break you both."

Elara's chest tightened. "Then what am I supposed to do?"

"Find the First Temple," the Seer said. "Within its walls lies the truth of your kind… and the power to stand against Vael."

Kael stepped beside Elara, jaw clenched. "Where is it?"

But the Seer only whispered, "Where the stars fall and the moon bleeds."

And just like that, she vanished—leaving behind only silence and a growing storm.
