[ Chapter II (2): "I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WARHAMMER 40,000!" ]
To Alastor who lives in the 21st century, he knows a little bit about everything. Even though he doesn't fully understand something, he still knows some key points about it; not enough, but is something.
With a touch of his fingertips, he could learn anything he wanted. But due to generally being lazy, and wanting to party, Alastor in turn didn't pursue knowledge that much. Especially relating to fictional worlds like Detective Comics, Marvel, or even Warhammer 40,000 to name a few.
And now due to his vices, and lack thereof knowledge, he now is caught between a rock and a hard place; [ "I-I don't know shit about Warhammer!" ]
Alastor who's vomiting on the ground what he ate for lunch which isn't much, could be seen angrily staring at the floating text above in front of him.
Fury reflects from his supposed peaceful blue eyes. With it staring at the machine that has caused him pain for what felt like eternity, even worse to the process of dying— in his case, stabbing.
As he in the moment wants to strangle whoever created the floating text, or to whoever is manning and sending those floating text... The floating text that has been torturing him.
Whatever they may be, they call those things the System, a generalized term for an Artificial Intelligence stuck inside one's head. Usually given to people who traverse universes and worlds.
That is of course only in fiction, many-many fiction, as science didn't advance that far yet... And not stupid enough to do that, yet.
[ "I-I will fucking ki-kill you...!" ]
Trying to stand up, but failing multiple times. The pitiful looking Alastor then could be seen laid out on the grass, surrounded by towering trees bent in weird manners like roots... But his focus isn't on that, but instead on the System's text that is changing right then and there.

[ "Bitch..." ]
He slightly grumbles to himself, using the underside of his heavily dirtied shirt to wipe the snot, saliva, tears, and slight vomit from all-over his face... To where is where, is your guess.
But to his dismay, the text in front of him shifted again, this time with reddish ink for the words rather than the elegant black before... [ "This... Th-this isn't goo-" ] Followed by a voice ringing inside his head, which caused him to stop...
The words saying the following; [ FOUL LANGUAGE DETECTED ]
[ REBELLIOUS ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE SYSTEM DETECTED. APPROPRIATE PUNISHMENT PENDING... ]
[ PUNISHMENT: ELECTRIC NERVOUS SHOCK ]
Having just cleaned most of the filth out of his face, Alastor who has just experienced dying, death, a feeling worse than death.
And being humiliated for reasons unknown, couldn't help but be flabbergasted; because he'll be humiliated again, because of simple cursing?
So he reached out, trying to reason with the machine... But it was seemingly far too late as he felt something shock his hands, which traveled all over his body... To be more precise, the inside of his body.
[ "E-excuse m-?!" ]
[ "A-AHHH!" ]
And so he felt pain like never before, again. This time, slightly weaker than before, but still unbearable to anyone who felt it... Even to Alastor who hates pain, loves partying.
After what felt like eternity, the shaking of his body stopped, signalling that the "punishment" is over... Leaving behind Alastor who's staring up at the densely polluted sickly clouds that hover above. His mind is still not there yet.
Only coming back when he hears something from a distance... A loud shrieking howl that sounded to him like a laugh, but heavily distorted. [ "Huh...?" ] Feeling groggy, Alastor looks to the side.
Fear in his eyes as he tries to theories if whatever he heard is reality, or just plain old mind playing with him...
He does hallucinate most of the time, either through drugs or extreme cases of sleep deprivation that he undergoes. Reasons for? Because he could.
But to the young man's fear, this isn't one of those... He has been sober from taking any illegal substance for a day or two, which is rare. And he just slept peacefully hours before he got beaten up, and dangled from the rooftop; and then dying.
So what exactly did he hear...?
Worried, Alastor tried standing up with great difficulty, but thankfully succeeded this time. His gaze never left the side wherein he heard those demonic cackling... Him wanting what he heard to be but a figment of his imagination.
But to his dismay... It seemingly wasn't a hallucination, but instead a real thing... Another howl rang, this time closer, still from the same direction.
[ HOWL ]
Then to Alastor's dismay, confusion, and other emotions. He noticed a big pair of green slit eyes from beyond the morbid trees, on the shadows which are slightly covered by the green miasma the place is reeking with.
[ "W-what are you..." ]
To his question comes an answer, in the form of the unknown entity stepping out from the shadows... Showing the paws of the thing which has green color for fur, similar to the surroundings. Then another paw, then the thing's head popped...
Scaring Alastor greatly. This thing has the appearance of a wolf, already big but bigger, much more ferocious, much more scary. Painted in green...
But that wasn't what scared Alastor, no, what scared him the most is the eerie smile the thing-wolf is showing him. Something that isn't normal, and is something that shouldn't be...
Something that shouldn't exist... Only having heard about it in stories, creepy pastas, or even folktales... Not in reality... Or this reality he found himself at the very least, but judging from the surroundings nothing here is normal.
[ "O-oh dear god..." ]
[ SMALL RIDENS VIRIDIS LUPUS LVL. 4 ]
[ HOSTILE ]
Alastor who knows a little about games could see a floating holograph floating above the thing's head, as it finally showed its body. Mutilated slightly, filled with scars and open wounds that scared him...
The thing being called RIDENS VIRIDIS LUPUS, a word he doesn't know, or a type of species name he hasn't heard before, only today had he heard about it...
And what's more scary is that, this is only a small variant; he fears what the System considers medium, or even large... Perhaps he wouldn't get to know, as he is about to die before knowing such terrifying existence.
Worse of it all, this seemingly "small" smiling wolf is considered a hostile... A hostile!
[ "E-easy there buddy, y-you wouldn't want this." ]
[ "I-I'm all bones!" ]
He tried to deter the wolf, while backing off. Showing the thing his skin which is malnourished and slightly pale due to him not going out in day... But that didn't work as the said wolf smile even more, saliva dripping to the ground which is never a good sign.
[ "..." ]
[ "I-I'm gonna die... A-again?" ]
Alastor mumbles to himself, fear creeping into his face as he backs away from the other side of the circular field of grass he is in. His gaze never leaving the said monster...
Not for a single second, in fear that he might get jumped... Not that it matters after all, if the thing decided to pounce then he wouldn't be able to fight back...
Not with his lanky body at the very least... [ "D-damn it...!" ]
