Somewhere at the top of the mountains, an old man looks up at the stars and says,
"Where heaven and earth meet, light and dark come together—not to end everything, but to either create or ruin the cosmos."
Meanwhile, Kell wakes up in his room, takes a bath, and gets ready for college.
Kell: "Mom, our science camp starts in a few days. I need some money to buy new clothes."
Mom: "Don't worry. Your father came by earlier and left some money. He had to go for work."
Kell: "Okay, Mom."
Then he heads out, taking the city bus to college.
Sky City is a beautiful, modern city—filled with towering skyscrapers, spotless streets, and cars of all kinds rushing toward their destinations.
After he leaves, Kell's mother thinks to herself:
"I hope his father managed to earn some money."
Kell's family lives below the poverty line. They came to the city with one hope: to give Kell a chance at a better education.
When Kell reaches college, he meets his friends. On the outside, they seem nice—but on the inside, they are like demons.
"In today's modern world, being a demon isn't rare—especially when money rules everything,"
thinks Jaze, Kell's best friend.
Kell sees Jaze and says in his heart:
"He's my only true and loyal friend. He has plenty of money, but he still chooses to be with me—he even eats breakfast from my lunchbox."
Life goes on as usual for everyone. But far above, in the heavens where the gods dwell, something is stirring.
Peace no longer exists there...
