(Alora loved to live here but her family didn't welcome her except for 'Mom', Lydia who was old enough to be Alora's grandma but Lydia was busy with her work and used to come back home at odd times, whenever she did come back, she would find Alora being beaten, scolded and constantly compared to her cousin.)
Mrs.Cresentia: Literally, you broke my favourite plate! Don't you know how much that plate costs? Such clumsy hands and bad grades too, look at your cousin! She's so perfect! She even got the higgest grade in her class too!!
Alora: I tried my best..And you're only saying that cause she is your biological daughter..
(Alora gets slapped and told to kneel..The world was crashing down in front of Alora's eyes as tears roll down her cheeks..Suddenly, the door clicks and Lydia enters and saw Alora kneeling as rage took control of her, she held Alora in her arms and carried her.)
Lydia: You hit a child?
Mrs. Cresentia: She broke a plate!
Lydia: Listen sister, no matter what she did, she's just a child! And you hit her!!
Mrs. Cresentia: Well, are you sure that she is a "human child"?
Lydia: What do you mean? Just because she looks a bit different doesn't mean she is not a human!!!
Mrs. Cresentia: Do you think that's what the society thinks? They've been giving me strange looks all day just because you bought a stray home!
Lydia: What did you call her?
Mrs. Cresentia: A stray!!
Lydia: That's it, we're leaving.
(Lydia took Alora with luggages packed..Was Alora being a burden?)
Alora: I am so sorry that I upset you...
Lydia: You didn't upset me, dear, remember, no matter what they say, just be you...
Alora: I could leave if I'm being just a nuisance...
Lydia: Listen, you're just a kid and you did nothing wrong, what's really wrong is how the world thinks!!
Alora: Really? You're the most nicest person I've ever met!
(Lydia comforts Alora gently, Alora was trembling with the fear that if one day, it comes up her up against the world...then who'll be on her side? Her against the world alone...Not alone anymore...Lydia soon quits her job in order to take care of Alora...Alora was bullied in school because of her "devil looks", people would never take her opinion seriously and because of all that, she got no friends..But she smiled knowing that Lydia's still by her side..One day, while being taught by Lydia, Alora asks a strange question which semt to matter to her..)
Alora: Mom! No matter what, you'll never leave me, right?
Lydia: Focus on your studies, what a silly question! Of course not, I'll never leave you!!
Alora: Neither will I! By eachother's side till the end!!
Lydia: By eachother's side till the end!
(That was their promise, "By eachother's side till the end.", but by the end of each sentence, there's always a fullstop....)
