It seems even on both worlds I'm not welcomed, okay then. It's on, once again I will conquer you."
Suddenly, he heard a voice inside his head.

"Wow, okay."
He massaged his forehead as he glanced at the holographic interface in front of him.
"Death?"
It was not an affinity specific to the background character, Maximilian. This meant one thing only, despite transmigrating into the game, it was clear that it wasn't the same as he knew it.
He knew what was going to happen, but moving forward, the events that led to his death were inter-changing.
What worried him the most was his skill.
"Skill description."
[Unique Skill: Soul Extraction]
[Skill Effect: You can extract the souls of the deceased, the extraction is limited to the souls of only those you kill]
"Only those I kill? So to use this skill I have to kill someone?"
He finally understood why Maximilian was killed so easily in the game, his abilities were useless until he killed someone with his own hands.
"Fuck, well there's no use thinking about it now."
As he Maximilian cleaned himself up after the stunt pulled by his mother, he knew what part of the game he was transmigrated into, but there was a slight problem.
He was now the background character, Maximilian Montclair.
Just as the name suggests, there wasn't much story behind him, just the parts that were necessary for the character's development.
This was the only disadvantage he faced coming into this new world, the only knowledge he had about himself was his death.
Asides that, he had more pressing matters to deal with, the tamer's entrance exam. It was a custom, once a child attains the age of 13, they are eligible to enroll in the Beast Tamer's academy, given they pass the exams.
He dressed up in a velvet tunic of forest green, trimmed with delicate gold embroidery at the cuffs and a simple collar with a soft leather boot.
His dressing was a symbol of the Montclair noble family of beast tamers, one of the society's most respected family.
As he stepped out of his room, he glanced around the ends of the large corridors. He always imagined how it felt to live in a castle, and so far, it was a pleasant sight.
He descended the stairs at the edge of the corridor, his mind preoccupied with bringing up solutions to the problems yet to come. If he was going to change his story, he needed to start preparing now.
"Good morning father." He announced his arrival with a warm greeting as he approached the dining table, seated round the table were all members of the Montclair family having breakfast.
The father, the mother and their two eldest sons.
As he greeted his father, the a smile crept up his brother's faces, and the maids present placed their palms over their mouth, their eyes widened as if they had seen a ghost.
"Oh?" The head of the Montclair family mumbled, wiping his mouth gently with a napkin.
"It seems you've grown quite courageous, I can tell from the boldness in your steps and your well focused eyes."
"Thank you fath-"
Before he could finish speaking, he felt a chill run down his spine, the atmosphere changed drastically, and he felt paralyzed.
He couldn't move, he couldn't breathe, it was a sensation he knew all too well.
Death.
His heart began pounding as he glanced at his father, the whole castle trembled from the aura he released. He was pissed.
"Courage is a quality only the strong possess, you have no business showing it after the disgrace you've brought upon this family. An E-rank beast? Unacceptable!"
As his rage flared, Maximilian couldn't handle the pressure exerted on him and fell to his knees.
"F-forgive me..." He murmured with a desperate plea, he could feel his father's energy crushing him bits by bits.
"I think he's had enough, father."
The Eldest son of the Montclair family, Thaddeus Montclair, rose to his feet, completely unaffected by the beast energy his father released all over the house.
As the aura dissipated completely, Maximilian gasped for air, choked up by the aura released.
"You dare interrupt me? Thaddeus?"
"No father, I wouldn't dream of such." Thaddeus said calmly as Maximilian rose to his feet.
"With all due respect, you're the head of the Montclair family, it is an insult to waste your energy on those far beneath our family standards, allow me."
In the blink of an eye, Thaddeus vanished from Maximilian's sight, only to appear directly in front of him.
"Huh."
Almost immediately, he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, his eyes widened in shock as Thaddeus fist struck his stomach with an inhumane strength.
He fell to his knees, his mouth widened open but he couldn't make a sound, he felt paralyzed by the pain that coursed through him.
"What gave you the impression that you can speak when you aren't asked to? Do not forget your place, you wretch."
The second son stood to his feet, satisfied with his meal. Despite considering Maximilian a failure to their family, he wasn't a supporter of violence like his elder brother.
He found such scenery... Appalling.
"Thank you for the food mother, father, I'll be taking my leave."
"Your cooking was delicious as usual, Samantha." He said, his attention diverted to the head maid before he left the dining room.
Unlike his two siblings, the second son was a core knight in the King's armor, his latent talents and the powerful beast he was able to contract put him leagues above most.
One by one, they left the dining room, not a single glance spared for Maximilian who knelt in pain, wincing.
The last to leave was the eldest son. He smiled slyly, casting a glance at the doors as he left behind a single remark.
"See you at the entrance exam."
As he stormed out of the dining room, the only maid who truly cared for Maximilian hurried to check up on him.
"Young master!" As she walked up to him, her expression changed from concern to disbelief.
She didn't meet Maximilian in pain, she met him, in an unshakable grin.
"So this is what he went through." He murmured to himself.
It was clear to him, his family held no love for him. The worst of all the eldest, whose eyes burned with a quiet hunger to torture him.
He stood up slowly, brushing the blood from his cheek.
"Very well brother." He said. "I'll see you at the entrance exam."
