Chapter 5 - The First Trouble

Yun had been in this world for a few days, quietly wondering when trouble would finally come knocking.

After all, this was the cultivation world, and even if he didn't do anything, trouble would surely come after him — especially with his high prices.

Surprisingly, none of the customers did anything except curse his nine generations and say he should get eaten by monsters.

This was the first time someone seemed to have actual intentions of causing trouble, and honestly… it made him a little excited.

He was invincible in the store, after all.

As he shifted his gaze away from the system interface, he found a tall, young man with an annoying smile walking toward him.

"Chen Cho!" Mu Feng muttered, recognizing the voice.

"Welcome!" Yun smiled and greeted the newcomer.

Chen Cho didn't even spare Yun a glance. In his eyes, mortals weren't worth acknowledging.

"Heh! I was wondering if you'd find help, but you just came alone… to eat whatever that is?" Chen Cho sneered, standing before the two siblings.

Mu Feng suppressed the fury burning in his heart, thinking, 'This is Senior's resting place. We shouldn't cause trouble here.'

"Chen Cho, I advise you not to cause trouble here, otherwise—"

Before Mu Feng could finish, Chen Cho laughed loudly.

"Otherwise what? You'll kill me?" he sneered and spread his arms. "Say that again!"

At his command, a total of ten black-robed figures walked out from hiding and surrounded the store's entrance.

Color drained from the siblings' faces as they sensed their cultivation bases.

Nine were at the peak of the Qi Refining Realm… and one had already stepped into Foundation Realm.

"I was quite surprised when you managed to escape Nether Valley's trap, so this time, I made enough preparations to silence you forever."

Chen Cho laughed even louder.

"I thought you would hide after what happened yesterday, but who would've expected the two of you to give me this opportunity so easily?"

The siblings were shocked to hear that — they hadn't expected him to be the true traitor in the clan.

"What do you plan to do?" Mu Feng asked coldly.

Even if the odds were against them, he was confident he could get out alive after his recent enlightenment.

The only problem was that he didn't want to disturb Yun.

"Heh, of course I'm going to kill you… and use the opportunity to take over the Mu Clan," Chen Cho scoffed and gestured to his subordinates.

"Say, are you here to cause trouble?" Yun asked in his usual laidback tone.

"Shut up, mortal. You should be grateful—"

Chen Cho's words choked in his throat as all ten black-robed figures suddenly convulsed before turning into dark mist.

In mere moments, the powerhouses he had brought were killed without him even realizing it.

Chen Cho staggered back and fell on his butt. His face, full of disbelief and terror, reflected his shattered mind.

"N-No…"

In the next second, he found himself lying outside the store, body intact, but pride utterly shattered.

He tried to process what had just happened.

He'd had everything planned. Ten assassins, one in Foundation Realm. A perfect ambush.

And yet—

Gone.

Not injured. Not repelled.

Just… gone.

"W-What was that place?" he whispered, heart pounding like a war drum.

That was no mortal house.

That man… that 'storekeeper'... what kind of monster was he?

Back inside, the siblings stood frozen, reality slowly sinking in.

They had a guess on what had happened in those few seconds.

Chen Cho and his people had not only disturbed Senior's rest but also tried to cause trouble in his store.

Yun had even given them a chance — but they didn't understand his true might.

From what they'd observed, Yun took his store seriously. So how could anyone cause trouble there?

Still, knowing and seeing were two different things.

They knew he was strong — but to kill ten such powerhouses in an instant, without even moving from his spot?

That was true strength.

'No, that's probably just a fraction of his power. Fortunately, I didn't try to steal the water back then,' Mu Xue thought, truly thankful her past self didn't act rashly.

"You are hereby banned from the Dimensional Store." Yun's calm voice drifted into their ears.

Mu Feng shivered and quickly moved past his sister, approaching Yun.

He bowed deeply."Forgive me for bringing trouble to your doorstep, Boss. I swear it won't happen again."

"Don't worry. This is business," Yun said coolly. "When you push against the world, it pushes back."

He donned his sunglasses and added, "You can come back tomorrow if you want to purchase anything else."

"You… forgive me?" Mu Feng asked, surprised.

"Customer comes first in business. You did nothing wrong," Yun replied.

Mu Feng couldn't help but bow once more. "Thank you, Boss."

After that, he held his sister's hand and turned to leave.

He had only taken two steps when Mu Xue pointed ahead and whispered, "Brother… Senior left him alive."

Mu Feng silently nodded, his expression sharpening.

In the next second, he was standing before Chen Cho with a ruthless look in his eyes.

"Um… Cousin Feng, please forgive me. Nether Valley forced me to do all this," Chen Cho said, realizing his situation and dropping into a full beg.

"Shut up, bastard. Who's your cousin?"

Mu Xue caught up and asked coldly, "What are we going to do with him?"

"Let's leave first. We've already disturbed Senior enough," Mu Feng replied, grabbing Chen Cho by the neck and dragging him along like a sack of trash.

After around five minutes of walking in silence, Mu Xue finally spoke.

"I think Senior gave us a chance to reflect on our mistakes by letting us deal with him. That's why he didn't kill him like the others."

"Indeed. We've made a grave mistake by bringing trouble to his doorstep," Mu Feng said. "It's his grace that instead of getting offended, he helped us deal with it."

"We need to be careful next time."

Then he looked down at the trembling Chen Cho and grinned.

"You're going in the Black Water Prison."

"Wait! No! Anywhere but there!" Chen Cho cried out in horror. "Please, I beg you! I'll do anything — just not that!"

"Then tell me everything you know about Nether Valley and their involvement in the Mu Clan."

A vicious smile formed on Mu Feng's lips as he growled,

"I'm going to kill every single one of them."

Chen Cho shivered and hurriedly nodded.
