Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Old and New faces

"I take back about what I said about the King", Roman whispered to himself. A few minutes later, the Queen opens the door to his room, seeing his muscular body exposed. She turns her head and tells him, "The King ordered me to tell you two to head into the bathhouses to wash off the blood and dirt off your bodies". He does as told as he and his brother bathe in the warm water of the tubs.

"So, we haven't been able to talk about things. What happened to you during those years?", Raymond says. "I don't feel comfortable talking about it". "Okay, if you're not comfortable telling me yet, I respect that. If I tell you what happened to me, would that make you feel better about opening up" "I'd perfer to keep it to myself." "Very well".

They both get out of the bath tubs and dry off as they walk back to their rooms to rest for the night. The next morning, they go down to the foyer as two men in robes are waiting for them at the gates. "These two called for you so I'll leave you four alone to chat". "We heard about two warriors who sound familiar." "Do we know you two from somewhere?", Roman asks. "The old village, remember?", they say as they take off their hoods.

"No way! There is no goddamn way! Howard and Harold was it?" "You'res truly!" "Long time no see!" "Things have changed so much since we were children.", they say as they shake hands as they talk for a bit.

"How about you Roman? Got any news about your years", Howard asks, however he stays silent. "He told me he'd perfer to not share about it" "Okay but do you have any aspirations?", Roman faces the concrete beneath him. "I haven't thought about that in a while, I've been so caught up with just serving for a long time". "Well then, you must make room for thought"

They depart ways as the King calls out for the twins. "Boys, I need you two to be at the North Bay immediately! One of the ships has been destroyed by tidal waves and some of the sailors are lost at sea and we need your help to rescue some of them!"

So they mount their horses and head off to the North Bay where there are already three rescue ships waiting for them. Roman and Raymond hop on separate ships as they head off to the location of the destruction. Fortunately, it's relatively close to land, however there are already numerous casualties, so they have to save those who are still alive.

Roman and his crew go to bring back mainly sailors while Raymond's crew focuses more on bringing back the warriors. Out of the piles of rubble that once was a ship, comes a blonde warrior, helping several sailors get from under the rubble. "Well that makes our job a lot easier now does it?", says Raymond. The warrior gets on one of the boats as they take off. "Samson, is that everyone?", one of the sailors asks. He nods his head as they take off to shore.

Once they land, a woman approaches the ships and takes some of the injured sailors into separate tents.

Raymond walks up to the warrior and asks "Samson, was it?" "Yes indeed" "The King never mentioned a Samson. Well, it sure is nice to meet you, I'm Raymond". "Raymond, like the rays of the sun! You're about as tall as a tree too, fitting." Just then, the woman who helped the sailors to the tents comes over. "Well, looks like you made yourself a new partner there Samson!"

"Oh, Sage, this kind sir and I where just introducing ourselves to each other. Sage, meet Raymond and Raymond, meet Sage"

"Oi there, pleased to meet you!" "Pleased to meet you too. You seem like a woman with a bit of class. I'm glad to see that." "Thank you, and if you're wondering, yes me and Samson are siblings" "Well, we'll be seeing you, take care!", says Samson.

Roman walks over to Raymond and says, "They seemed nice. Well, we should get going". As they head back, Roman thinks to himself "A lot has happened today, we meet up with friends from our childhood and my brother has met two new folk."
