POV: Leon S. Kennedy
Location: Eastern Edge – Ruined Echo City
The sky had turned red.
The wind howled like it was alive.
And Grim… Grim wasn't just a monster anymore.
He was a force of nature.
Thirty feet tall. Covered in blackened bone-armor fused with Echo tech. A Genesis eye burning in his skull. His fingers—now massive claws that crackled with dark lightning.
Leon stood on a collapsed highway, flanked by what remained of the police.
And the city burned behind them.
---
Round One: The First Hit
Grim charged.
Leon didn't move.
He waited—calm, focused—then dove under Grim's swing, rolled across gravel, and unleashed three grenades directly into the beast's ribs.
They exploded.
Smoke billowed.
But Grim didn't fall.
He grabbed a tanker truck, hurled it like a toy—
Leon barely dove in time.
The truck exploded behind him. The shockwave flung Leon into a flipped patrol car.
He coughed, blood in his mouth.
"Yeah," he muttered. "He's stronger."
---
Round Two: Guerrilla Warfare
Leon regrouped with the remaining officers.
"Circle the bastard. Don't engage head-on. Buy me ten seconds near his weak side—then run."
The officers nodded.
They scattered. Shots rang out. Drones lit up the battlefield. One officer—Briggs—ran a mech-suit into Grim's leg, stabbing it with an electrified pylon.
Grim screamed.
Leon used the opening. Sprinting low, tossing a Genesis disruptor grenade at Grim's back.
It detonated—sending arcs of blue lightning across the creature's spine.
Grim fell to one knee.
Leon leapt—knife in one hand, Genesis shard in the other—aiming for the exposed core near Grim's neck.
He stabbed—
And for a second—Grim froze.
But then the monster grabbed Leon mid-air.
And slammed him into the ground.
Once.
Twice.
A third time.
The earth cracked beneath them.
---
Round Three: The Heart of It
Leon lay in the rubble, ribs broken, coughing blood.
Grim stepped forward, eyes burning red, chest glowing with unstable Genesis.
It spoke—for the first time.
"You fight like your world still matters."
Leon pushed himself to his knees.
"It does."
He stood.
"I do."
And then the sirens returned—Ada's voice over comms.
"Leon! Lia's facing Zeyren now. You need to finish this."
Leon cracked his neck.
"Copy that."

The Final Gambit
He looked up at Grim.
"One last dance, big guy."
Leon pulled a Genesis injector from his belt.
He'd saved it.
For this.
Stabbed it into his arm.
His body surged—temporary strength, borrowed from the enemy.
And then he charged.
Faster. Stronger.
Every move calculated.
Blade to the throat. Shot to the core. Grapple, twist, flip—
Grim roared.
But Leon didn't stop.
He climbed the beast, stabbed it again—this time right into the Genesis eye.
The world flashed white.
Grim screamed—shook—fell back—
And the entire street collapsed under them both.

End Scene Tease:
Smoke.
Silence.
A bloody hand reached up from the rubble.
Leon pulled himself free.
Alive.
Barely.
And he whispered, "Told you I'd finish it."
