After his short talk with the girl Mitchell headed to the forest going west.That was the general direction the quest told him to go.He had to hunt some monster beasts that were terrorising incoming people.
Monster beasts are beasts that can absorb qi and cultivate , just like humans can cultivate.
When they cultivate , they create a monster core , which is the amount of qi and life force condensed throughout their whole life.
If a cultivator absorbs that core, they shall see an increase in their cultivation base .
The quest only told him to bring back their tails as proof, not monster core so he had free reign over them.
He remembered the words he spoke to that girl and got a little angry. Just because you come from a big family you think you can trample on anyone. That was the thought going through his head at the moment as he sped his way through the forest.
'At this rate it'll take five hours to get there 'Jack said inwardly as he noticed the speed he was moving at.
'You know you can go even faster right' jack spoke as he heard Mitchell's thought.
'How did you know what I was thinking' he was startled.
'You forgot am in your head right. I can sense your thought'. Jack replied.
'Do you want me tell you tell you or not' jack asked.
'Oh yeah , tell me' he said as he sped through the forest . His speed was something humans were not meant to possess but he was not a human , he's a cultivator.
'Pour the qi in your body into your legs, it will make your speed increase'.jack had not finished talking when Mitchell speed almost doubled . He didn't even ask how to manipulate qi , he did it himself.
'Monster. But he's Lord Fate what could i expect' that was the only thought going through his head at that moment.
'Hey jack, what cultivation stage am I in' Mitchell almost forgot to ask him.
'You're in the third stage of qi condensation realm' jack replied to Mitchell who just said 'still in the first level' .
Jack would've done a backflip if he had a physical body. Mitchell was in the third stage of qi condensation realm without doing anything, during his few days of slumber ,he was absorbing qi like it was as natural as breathing . At that time he had his doubts but just said ' Everybody's body is different' but now that he was seeing it he knew this boy's body was wrong.
At that moment Mitchell broke through to the fourth stage , just by running.
'What is wrong with this boy , he broke through just like that. Without putting in any effort. He is like a cheat'.
'Jack what was that , I heard something break in my body .'Mitchell asked .
'You broke through to the fourth stage ' jack said tiredly , he was tired of thinking about Mitchell. He was sure he still had secrets hidden in that body of his.
'If only cultivation was this easy , everyone would be gods' jack said bitterly.
'What are you talking about' Mitchell asked but jack did not answer , he wanted to rest his aching head.
After running for a while , Mitchell's speed began to decrease. Until it got back to normal.
He decided to rest for a while as he asked jack while panting.
'Am tired , let me just rest for while so that I can recover. How do u cultivate anyway? Do you just wait for your body to feel recharged or ...'
'Just sit in a cross legged position , close your eyes and begin to absorb spiritual particles.' Jack answered him.
'Your explanation sure helps' he said sarcastically but still did what jack said
He sat down crossed legged but did not know how to absorb spiritual particles so he decided to meditate first. Get his thoughts in order, slowly but surely he started to feel a warm but faint energy around him.
Its presence made him calm and slowly reduced the fatigue.
'This must be the spiritual qi jack was talking about, it feels to warm and tingly . Now how do I absorb it.'
He thought for a long while pondering about it when he noticed something odd. When he breaths in , some of the particles naturally entered his body.And then it struck him.
'Cultivation is just like breathing, jack was right , you just have to absorb them , its so easy. But why didn't he tell me right away...oh I get it, he wanted me to learn by myself' Mitchell thought to himself.
Meanwhile
'Let me see him try to do this now, you can't cultivate without knowing what you are absorbing , you can't differentiate between spiritual particles.' Jack thought to himself happily , he wanted Mitchell to fail and ask for his help. He has been too outstanding.
It didn't take a while before Mitchell absorbed the particles around him, and more rushed to him. Very soon , he broke through to the fifth stage out of nowhere.
'How, did he do it. This kid will shake the world . I wonder how all the all monsters here will react to his coming, he hasn't even used me and Ronald's divine source and he is this outstanding. The whole spirit realm will know his name and be forced to acknowledge him.'
Mitchell continued to cultivate until he broke through to the sixth stage. He opened his eyes and faint signs of enlightenment could be seen.
'Thank you jack, it is because of your help that I mastered it' Mitchell thanked jack.
Jack was silent before grudgingly saying' I didn't do anything you cracked it by yourself and by your own power, nothing to thank me about'.
'But I'll still thank you anyway'.Mitchell said.
'But there's a problem, I don't have a weapon . What am I supposed to kill things with.' Mitchell asked with a troubled expression on his face.
'Ahh, am not sure, what about the sword that flew into your body? Jack said, he doubted he remembered it.
Still sitting cross legged, he knew what to do. He dove into his mind , still as black and empty as before and rushed to jacks purple moon and be naturally saw the sword resting in his sea of consciousness. It seemed to be getting excited and agitated after recognizing his presence.
Two hours later , he opened his eyes that glowed with a faint purple on his iris. He summoned a purple sword that came straight out of his chest and flickered with a silver light once in a while. It let out a soft hum in his hand.
"Let's go kill us some monster beasts"
