Chapter 3 - Memories

"I'm Doom!"

The forest was aroused by the sound as birds flew away in fright

It was morning...

The sun was now high up in he sky as the flames of last night seemed to have died down

It creaks as we move pass a burnt tree, only it's root remained clean and free from the fire

A mystery but not for long...

"Are you kidding me!"

"It was suppose to be only 5"

"How am I suppose to explain This!" The voice shouted again in frustration

The figure was sitting on top of a mountain of dead ogres

The ground was covered with their dead bodies and blood, it was gross but calm

The figure grip his brown colored shoulder length hair in frustration as he stares at a parchment

The parchment was a quest form ushered to adventurers when going on a mission

He was foaming... Why...

His parchment had a picture of an ogre and the list 5, it was a mission to kill 5 ogres, bringing their heads back as proof

He groans as he finally let go of his hair

The figures sword was dropped by his side coated with blood, his dagger the same way but now in his booth

Tsk...

Aria you've done it again...

He hums...

Defeated by his own stupidity

Aria, that's our adventurer name, he places the parchment down to stare at the large amount of dead ogre

He was dressed in a gray inner and ocean blue top, brown trouser and scavengers booth

A belt placed around his waist and leading to his shoulder and down again, a place for his sword sheath while his cloak covered his back

He stares like a dead person

Oh.. brother...

It was only suppose to be a little fight but that idiot

Thought Aria as he pointed to a ogre laying down on a tree truck dead with a stab wound on both eyes

Managed to call for some backup before it died..

Ogres are like goblins and wolves, they hunt in packs, so it wasn't just a few I faced

But the whole pack

Huff...

Well at least they won't be disturbing the village again

Now...

Now to deal with these...

He contemplated as he looked around

He groaned

Tap tap

He was passing the bridge

He groaned annoyed as a wooden big bag was tied to his waist, seeping blood

He had actually decided to take five heads of ogre while abandoning the rest

Yeah, it was a stupid thing to just leave them like that but I made some tracks and slash marks on their body

Anyone who goes to the forest and see the mountain of dead will think the ogres were attacked by something strong and got massacres

Tsk

He caressed his hair as his ocean blue eye shined with the sun

Huh...

Aria stopped in the center of the wooden bridge, he was staring at the plank

The wind blows taking his cloak and hair flaying, he raised his hand to block the sun from his view

It's been that long...

Hmm

It still feels weird in many ways

I still remember when I came here

Dieing while overworking was a common thing in life, having a boss that doesn't value you is sometimes rare

They only value you if you do something good or they end up stealing your work and try to friend you in that aspect

That's what happened to me

Stress, broken hearted, grief and depression was not a good combination

Death to me was a blessing

I could finally meet my family again

But like every Isekai life I was transmigration to this world Deliah

I can't say I didn't lotted this world at first

Because I did

Unlike those Isekai people who enter a new world, filled with excitement, explore it, get the girl, be the hero and defeat the demon lord wether accidentally or not

I...was the opposite

I was happy and glad to dead

So waking up in the forest facing the moon as stars dance beside it when I was suppose to be in a coffin

I screamed

And no not in joy of being alive but in the absurd situation I was in

I was expecting to meet my family in death not wake up to be given a new life

It was frustrated

I wanted to die and tried almost everything, falling to my death, stabbing, poison

Oh..

I found out that poison could affect me but it wouldn't kill me, I'll just be in extreme pain untill the antidote is found

Yippee me

Tsk...

Sigh

I gave up trying to kill myself after the 20th time

I should have truama by now of some many death but...

Maybe because I've seen my family and people around me die

I wasn't affected at all

It made me doubt my humanity but a rabbit being squeezed by a bear proved I was still human since I cried over its death

Hey..

Who wouldn't cry it was so cute and fluffy!

I Like fluffy things

He snickered as we move back to the present

His still standing in the center of the bridge as the wind continued it's relentless effort to give him the aura of a hero returning after defeating an A Class monsters

As if I'll ever let myself get to that class

No notice is better than attention

If I'm invisible... So be it

He hummed happy

Whistling a tone we haven't heard he started his trot and left the bridge

Heading to the village

The birds chip as they seem to follow him from tje tree tops

"Mister!" He looked up, his eyes softened as they stare at Mira running towards him

"Mister!" She shouted in complete joy

Aria bent down to embrace her as she ran straight into his hand

"Mister!"

"You came back!" She hugged him tighter

Aria smiled a little as he caressed her hair, patting it slowly

"I promise didn't I"

He looked at her tears covered eyes, he reached up and wiped a tray tear away

"I never break a promise"

He never huh...

Well then...

It seems we found our guinea pig

Little light is about to have a home

A wicked laugh..

A sickly grin...
