Chapter 2 - Entrance Ceremony

"When will you guys grow up? Causing some ruckus at this time. You guys never change huh?" They added.

"Dear God! is the world gonna end today? Caleb is awfully early today!" Aviel spoke surprised.

"People change y'know?" Caleb said copying Aviel's line.

She then grabbed Caleb's ear pulling it. Caleb shrieked in pain.

"Ahhh! I surrender, I surrender!"

Caleb Dmitri Bianchi. He was also one of my childhood playmates in the past with the same reason with Aviel. Our fathers were business partners. As I remember this guy was born in Italy. This guy's very meticulous and toys with everyone he is interested in. I sometimes wonder how'd we end up getting so close despite that we have nothing in common.

Ding Dong. Ding Dong.

"Attention. Attention. Good Morning dear students of Lucian Étoille Academy. The entrance ceremony will now begin shortly. Please proceed to the Auditorium immediately. Thank you."

"Damn already?." Aviel pouted as she let go of Caleb.

Caleb clears his throat and fixed his clothes.

"Now that I think of it Klaus also enrolled here right?" He said while walking ahead.

"I think so? I saw his name at the bulletin board in the hallway. That guy is in the same class as us." said Aviel.

"You dimwit, how come you never told me that we were already assigned into our class! I couldn't just gone and checked!" I bonked her head.

"Ow! Wtf. You never asked!." She replied as she rubbed her head.

This girl! She keeps testing my patience these days. If only she weren't my childhood friend I would've let her experience how a human could fly. No wait. Patience Gabriel. You won't gain anything in throwing her somewhere even though she's so throwable.

"What if both of you ends up together?." Caleb jokingly said.

Swoosh. Bang.

Ah. To think that I'll get to see a rare sighting of the very first of the human kind to ever fly.

In a blink of an eye, Caleb was already on the floor.

"God! I must've gave into my anger and killed him!." Aviel said trembling and covering her face with her palms.

"There's nothing you can do now Aviel. You already killed him. Might as well bury the body and leave no evidence." I said with tears comforting her.

"Don't just kill me!" Caleb shouts.

"Don't look now Aviel! His ghost is speaking!." I shouted.

After a very very few steps in the hallway we finally arrived at the auditorium where a lot of students are now gathered. I guess the academy lives up to its name, even the auditorium is air-conditioned.

"Aviel, you looked up at the class we were assigned right? what class are we on?." I asked looking around.

"Hm yeah, It was 9-A." She replied.

"Found it." Caleb points to the direction of the line.

Looks like our class has some quite interesting guys on board. Some are familiar and others are pretty much mediocre.

That silver white hair and blue eyes. It must be that son of the famous doctor, there's no way I wouldn't recognize a very unique hair. Albinism was it?, I heard it was run through the family genes. And that guy next to him.. Grey hair and dark blue eyes. He looks vaguely familiar to me though? have we ever met before? I mean I met his father but I don't recall meeting his son?.. Anyway is that hair color even real? I think he was the only son of the famous chef and ceo in the cooking industry. His father is pretty famous himself for his talent so there's no way I'd forget a guy like tha— ah we made an eye contact. Damn that was awkward, but why is he still staring??..

"Good Morning my dear students. Welcome to Lucian Étoille Academy. You have no idea how delighted I am to see you guys here."

Thats the current head. According to my information to the alumni here once that guy has the mic, he won't stop blabbering about everything. What luck do I have these days.

I let out a sigh.

Tap. Tap.

"Gab, Klaus is still not here yet." Aviel whispered beside me.

Where the hell is that guy at, Don't tell me that guy late on his first day of highschool? Or maybe he was lost. Ah, that may be it. Despite him looking so mature, he is not good with directions. Appearance can sometimes be so misleading.

I let out another sigh.

.

It's already been 30 minutes and this guy still isn't done speaking. I can see a bunch of students secretly fighting with themselves to stop falling asleep. What about Aviel?— ah, what did I even expect. That dwarf just fallen asleep while standing.

"So now I will not held you guys back any further and we'll now proceed with the welcoming speech of the freshman student representative who aced the entrance exam. Please come on stage. Sebastian Nikolayev."

So he was the one who took my spot huh? As expected from the son of the famous doctor himself.

"Good morning everyone. Honored guests, Respective teachers and fellow students. Today we embark on a new journey of our goals and quest in life....."

Looks like I have myself another rival, not like I care though. Aside from that, why is that grey haired guy keep stealing glances at me. It's so damned weird stop that. Look at him looking away when I met his gaze. Is he being wary of me? Most people would not mind this situation however it's so goddang obvious. He doesn't even hide it. Did I perhaps do something cruel to him in our past life and now he's seeking revenge? Ah our eyes met..

"I look forward on our journey together. Thank you."

Applause.

"Now on behalf of the great founder of this academy, teaching staff, personnels. I welcome you all to Lucian Étoille Academy!."

Applause.

Finally, looks like it's finally done. I thought this ceremony would last till lunch break. It took a whole hour for the head of the school to finish his damned speech, and another half an hour for Sebastian's and I guess now were heading towards classroom with that staff guiding us.
